Well, there can be only one.
You had a couple options that could have turned that fight the other way.
First is that you could have stowed your loot in the safe house, lightening the load and even if it's there through tide it will still be there
Second, you should have secured the village first. That village is sitting on your escape route back to base, and if the shit really hit's the fan that's you way out.
Third, you could have gone back to base at that point. The long way back is always valid since it was coming up on sundown anyway, or if you'd hit the village you get the loot there and a quick trip back.
Fourth, with that many enemies I'd allow myself some full auto.
I agree with your assessment. Honestly with the mod, missions pay very well. It made zero sense to loot misc stuff during this run. I would say that I wasn't trying very hard, because I underestimated what was waiting for me. When things got really bad, I decided to go out like Leroy instead of really making a smart effort at extraction.

Thats NUTS! When you were at the train station, I had the same thought as you mentioned later, war mod needs to come with some advantages for the weapons, like bigger magz or 1 shot kills or something. You did well, I wouldn't have got out of the first task area! 🙂 Good to see you playing this again

That looks like a fun mod! I've often wished we could just have more enemies to deal with, especially if it's an army of Mimics all over the place (I enjoy fighting them the most, of course). And nice shooting with the M4, I always have a tough time lining up the sights without a scope/laser/etc with that weapon, you were sniping real nicely at the train station in Pervomay. This mod should be awesome in Pobeda and KZ!

Ah crap. I might have to get into vr now. My pc is a little less than good, so I am hoping the quest 3 will do alright connected. Or I guess I will just be using it as a standalone until I upgrade my PC.
Pcvr requires some fiddling and learning, but it's worth it for what you can do 👍
