Lesle Stahl needs to do an update on the Trump survaillance story now that we can verify that it's true
History will judge Stahl harshly. She finished her career attacking a President for him saying his campaign was spied upon, and the President was correct. She will forever be known for having less credibility than Dan Rather.

The video did not show Trump provided any specific descriptions about how he specifically told people to wear masks. Since Trump did not provide any 'specific descriptions" as you claim then it also discredits the 2nd part of that statement of "...showing she was lying". In fact, when she argued that he doesn't encourage people to wear masks..her video cuts to clips showing clearly that at his rallies most of his supporters did not wear masks and he doesn't encourage them either.
How much more clearly do people have to say and then to clearly show you (in the form of a video clip) to prove their statement? How is it possible your mind can edit & playback something completely different than what you saw and heard?
Obviously, you've been watching the newer and lengthier version of Stahl's interview with Trump in 2020 as this video is of 2018. Why? Because your argument about her arguing with the president about masks is not in this short ~4min video but in the other lengthier and longer interview. SHOCKING HUH?

Three times Stahl had to bring him back to answer the question about why he did not encourage the people to wear masks because as evident by all his rallies he didn't say a thing. She even provide a clip of his rallies and nobody was wearing masks. So much for his lip service about telling people to wear masks.
Three times he goes off on a tangent and says something like "the rally are bigger than ever before". What does that have to do with her question? NOTHING!
Talk is cheap but his actions were caught on the videos and guilty as charged and he knows it. That’s why he kept going off on a tangent and not answering the question.
Thin skin as he was he started to attack her character. Very typical Trumpian move. Actually, that's what all narcissist do! It’s like talking to a child, but the only problem is this child can override you with his rhetoric! God help us, the child was the president of the United States.

I just cant understand why the media is 90% negative coverage of our President.
When you catch your child arguing and fighting, but when you ask them why and you get the run around (iexample, I ask about Russian and he answers with China)...that's frustrating. We had 4 years of it, whereby the child had the power and could BS all he wanted to like a juvenile delinquent.

Joking aside, when Trump was asked if he believe Russia meddled with our 2016 election...he did not or would wholeheartedly agree and tried to deflect to China. Then as a good journalist she asked why are you not answering and deflecting to China. People and that is especially true with a president whose words has tremendous influence on the public and cannot make half-cocked statement without an explanation. If Obama did the same thing, I have no doubt Leslie would had asked the same follow-up question. However, do you think Obama would had deflected to China? No, I don't think so. It's not to say he never deflects on some hard questions for whatever reason. The problem with Trump is his frequency in deflecting or making off-the-wall statements (by now you must heard about his 18,000+ lies) that's got the media (the whole world) worried. She was pushing an agenda.. Still asking about Russia. About chaos in the white house.. and Kim Jong Un.. I think the fact missiles are no longer being launched, and nuke tests have stopped, And North and South Korea getting along is a good thing. Even if Kim is no saint. Adam Chasing I would prefer any journalist to be unbiased and not ask questions suiting their own personal (Or network) political beliefs. Any recommendations? To me, all outlets anymore are not reporting just the news, they all seem to represent one side or another. To be fair, it’s difficult to trust any news outlet anymore. That’s why I stand by saying journalism is dead.

Interviews are a 2 way street. Just because you get the interview does't mean you get the answers. Doesn't mean you'll get a 'gotcha'. The 'interviewer' has to be sharper than the 'interviewee'. Didn't happen tonight.

Really? Lots of holes in that statement. Several promises unkept... in some cases intentionally. He promised to present a replacement health plan that would be better than "Obamacare" -- he failed to do so over and over again. He promised to complete the border wall -- he failed to do that. He promised to make his tax records available, at least at the start of that discussion about his administration's transparency. Now we have Republicans trying to whitewash the BIG LIE.
Why do the press think they have a right to demand an answer from any president? You may think you can, but no one can. You can ask a question, but to demand an answer is just done for the sake of trying to act tough for the sake of public image. We all get to excercise your power at the voting booth. She tries to get the president to pledge to something, well I would never pledge anything to anyone for anything that someone demanded of me. What if mueller does something that is legitamitley worthy of being fired? There may be a 99.9% chance he doesnt do something like that...but he is human and he could. If Trump pledges his rights away that would be dumb. You never give up your rights/position just to satisfy the emotions of others. In itself I thought it was a poor line of questioning. She really interuppted a heck of a lot. I like to hear someone being allowed to answer in full To me she comes across like someone who wants answers to be what she wants them to be, and if an explanation is offred she is not willing to be open to hearing out the idea. For me it is very telling to hear Trump talk about China meddling worse than Russia. I think it is noteworthy and maybe we all have our eyes off the ball somewhat by having a focus only on Russia. To me she seems to be wantingling ignorant of the Chinese threat and I can't work out why. I think Trump handled her like a pro and I love that he doesn't back down. And Trump is relentless. His energy and ability to go 100% all the time is unbelieveable. I wish interviwers could just ask questions, and ask tough ones for sure, but then let the interviewer answer back and let their answer be the answer. Let the viewer make up their mind about truthfulnness, evasiveness, transparency, etc. Not everything has to be a fight.
Why should the President of the United States be required to make pledges to journalists simply because she demands it? Sorry, Leslie. You are JUST a journalist.

ZZ Boomer David, yes by all means let's do exactly what trump asks us to do, get rid of all news and videos so we have no idea at all what's going on, only what HE tells us is true. There's a reason "freedom of the press" is in our constitution so we can listen with our own ears and see him speaking with our own eyes.
