Great series, used to be on USA network at 7pm and 10 or 11pm. Watched it almost every night. Great music, great cars and a lot of cameos from young up and coming actors.
I was 7 yeas old when i saw this scene. Still rember it like it was yesterday. Some small things you don't forget. I was an emotional feeling. Just love this scene. How its filmed is amazing. The streetlights hitting the polished hood of the car is just breath taking. Greetings from Norway
I was 16 and a junior in high school. A friend asked me to record an episode of a show I had not heard of called Miami Vice. (Calderone's Demise). I saw the pilot later and this scene. I still want the car.
outlaw 4640 the 80s rocked man! Think of the 80s as 100 years in the making and the fruit of American hardship and labor came together for a decade and that fruit will never be achieved again. Awesome time to have been born up in!
This sequence was about two relatively new partners with a common enemy, responsible for the deaths of Crockett's partner and Tubbs' brother. The guy who gets away with it. He's about to leave the country and escape justice. Crockett pulls over to call his wife at a pay phone (remember those?) for what he believes may be the last time they ever speak. Was our time together real? Did my time on this earth count for anything? She tells him "yes", leaving him free to face the end of his life with a clear conscience. I was hooked on the series for the first 2 seasons, but remember watching this episode on its first release. Very powerful.

I'm 35 and I still love this band and they need to play more songs about love, feelings, happy now days its pop country and rap that you can't understand the words I can listen this kind of music all day
I think Phil Collins should have just thrown his headphones and microphone out the window after recording this song and never made music again. This Dude just made the greatest song in history.
When you watched Miami Vice back in the day you often wondered....was this song made for the episode or was it made for a different reason. The answer of course is that they were existing songs that Michael Mann and company wove masterfully into the iconic scenes of the Miami locales and backdrops and how they were meant to convey emotion. There has never been and never will be a TV series like MV. Lightning in a bottle and I'm so glad I was a teenager then.
To be so young naive and gullible not knowing what music really is, this song came while going through puberty the vibe energy and intensity what a time to be alive and grow up.♥️
