I think the Driller has gotten the most rewarding overclocks this season. Why? 1. This Scorching Tide overclock doesn't hinder the performance of the base weapon at all. 2. Crystal Nucleation lowers the ammo count by a lot, but there's a lot of benefits that come from it. 3. Combustive Goo Mix is just too much fun. X3
@@CNC-ih8ccAnd now you can freeze the praetorian and opressor's gas too. But not only that, you can also freeze the Rockpox gas. You can do some pretty cool things, I think you can even freeze the natural gases in Fungus Bogs.
This was probably my favorite OC to come out of this season. Finally, I can build the flamethrower for DN missions and for big bug killing. There were not really any good ones for that purpose.
DRG’s flamethrower is definitely the single most satisfying video game rendition I can think of offhand. I will say though that if they wanted to do another sort of overclock that really changes it up, it would really be fun to have a Fallout Incinerator style that rapidly lobs arcing flaming balls. Although I could also see that becoming an OC for the Sludge Pump as well.
I run a 22321 and use it as a budget sticky flames for 99% of encounters, and use the charge shot for big enemies/swarms I absolutely need to get past. Great vid man.
Probably the best Overclock for Industrial Sabotage now, the charge shot can almost instantly ignite Rival enemies, sometimes I like using it a lot on the Caretaker fight to use up extra ammo when I want to resupply for more C4 LOL
The one thing that bugs me about this overclock is that the muscle memory going back to cryo cannon with Ice spear messes me up. On this one you have to hold R, but on ice spear and snow ball you just press R without holding it (holding r does nothing. Nearly died at one point because I didn't realize this, lol.
Glad to see you enjoying season 5 Ron, It's definitely up there as one of the best in my opinion. A real return to form for GhostShip after the less well received RockPox seasons. Including myself, wasn't much of a fan of 3 and 4. But 5 is fantastic!
Does anyone know if Scorching Tide is affected by any of the Weapon Modifications? Like, do the damage/heat/range/sticky/explosion buffs affect it at all?
Thanks, and yeah Boltgun is pretty awesome if you like both the classic and 2016 doom. Only thing that I didn't like about the game was the lack of a mini-map.

I think gunner and driller are tied if not gunner being higher because the 3 gunner overclocks are all incredibly strong.
Its worth noting that base cryo cannons ice also got a buff so its now much better for swarmer clear and can even freeze basic grunts.

Man, I wish we had this OC during the Rival days. Woulda made those the bots much less obnoxious.

Ammo wise I think the Engi shard refractor still takes the cake for bots but the crspr is a monster love it. Rock and Stone

You should try Blistering Necrosis with it! One blister on a Praetorian and a point blank shot from Scorching Tide will insta kill it.
That´s REALLY fun overclock right now! I love to wear dragon mask with it.

Strange how this and engis laser overload oc are unstable but clean in actuality cause there isn't a single downside
