That food court alone looked well worth my time. When the native says the Xi'an food is well worthwhile, I listen! Those dumplings also looked amazing! Good sashimi is a thing of beauty too. Giving me reason to check out this area in my travels, now!
The Richmond area has a ton of Asian food, from homey comfort food to Michelin star level fine dining. The seafood is always fresh so that's hard to go wrong with.
I live in Vancouver and Richmond is my food heaven. I go down there to eat almost every weekend. Having lived in China for 14 years, I can't think of a city with a higher concentration of quality Chinese restaurants in North America. Richmond truly is a Chinese food lovers' paradise, Oh, and good call on Presidential Plaza. Its food court is a hidden gem. Those Wuhan dry noodles are excellent
I suspect that there are many sushi lovers now who first were repelled by the raw fish. Having said that, I truly think Uni is bad for some people, and great for others. Like cilantro. I find it lively and refreshing while others say it tastes like soap!!!

Just went to Meet In Xi'an. Tried the Crispy pork Burger, the sticky rice dessert, and also got a Cumin beef Burger. By far, the Cumin Beef Burger is where's its at. Mike you missed out! Also just finished at Yummy Dumpling. Tried both the pan fried and boiled dumplings. Like Mikey said, boiled are better. Largest, tastiest, cheapest dumplings around. Keep the locations coming Mikey! Also, you need to try the Portuguese egg tarts at Kam Do Bakery next time your in Richmond....best ones in town.
I'm glad u're doing these series on many eateries in one episode. I love the Ox Burger on Capitol Hill which u recommended. I'll be heading to Richmond BC to some of the places u went, especially the sea urchin place. Keep the Seattle/Richmond BC coming.
Just ate there....both places actually. Mikey missed out on the Cumin Beef Burger at Meet in Xi'an. But he was spot on with the dumplings. We got both the pan fried and boiled. Boiled were better, and by far the largest, tastiest, and cheapest ones around. Sooo good!
Spent 5 months in Beijing and it was the best! To experience true Chinese food. Would love to accompany Mike on one of his trips. American Chinese food is not necessarily the real deal. That's due to food regulations and laws. Thank you for showing that this can be, but I'm not in Canada. Lol.
Oh, man, Mikey!!!! You do this to me every time!!!!!!!!!! Now, I'm looking up 'marinated pork knuckle near me', in the faintest of HOPES that I can find something in Sacramento!!!!!!! Durn you Mikey, DURN YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (shaking my fist) 😂 And you said this is Hawaiian, no? (Sorry if no, I watch a lot of food vids and may have mixed things up).
Mike or anyone else do you have a favorite way to incorporate flavor into Tofu I'm new to it and mainly I just eat it raw because I don't know what else to do i tried diced in the air fryer and it was like rubber cubes
@@lisacastano1064 see I’m good with green onions but I can’t have salt so soy sauce is off the table plus I don’t like the way it is at all. I’m struggling to find a way to make it that isn’t Asian almost like a whole new sauce profile
I lived in Tianjin many years ago, and I really miss Xinjiang food. I can’t find any in the Seattle area. Do you know of any up in BC? I would love some ding ding chao mian, da pan ji, yang rou chuan, and nang. 😊

Yeah man Richmond is the spot. I grew up there and its got a ton of different spots you can hit. A couple sneakily good pho spots too if you like that

Mikey showing love to Vancouver again, love it
technically Richmond not Vancouver LOL
@@cdnsilverdaddyMike did say “near to Vancouver”
I have been to that mall so many times and had no idea there was a food court upstairs.
😅
Who remembers when he ate uni before and said uni tastes like a slimy ocean and that it felt like the ocean just threw up in his mouth?
Yes.i remember that 😂
Good forbid his palet changes
It's an acquired taste. Nothing wrong with that.

Absolutely yummy looking! 🙂☺️😋😋😋🥰
I live in the next city and even I don't know about these place... thank you mikey..
Hey Mike!! HNY! Let's keep this train going. As far as continuing Ytube in the New Year! Let's go!! 🐞🤗
You missed Cha Kee at that food court :) It's right at the back, usually with the longest line.
Their scrambled eggs are so good.

Welcome back to Metro Vancouver!
13:18 there’s a brand in Korea that sells some really plump dumplings they go so well in hotpot they soak up the broth well
Have to let your fans know when you are in town!!!
Oooo the sticky rice, yum!
Wow! welcome to BC Canada mike! Visit Burnaby area too👍🏻👍🏻
I remember there was a time that you didn’t eat raw fish. You’ve come a long way my friend.

If only I had the ability to just reach in and pull out the food!!!!!! My goodness I'm hungry.
This is the best channel on earth
What is the tofu dish called at 12:05? I can't find nothing for savory tofu pudding.
Blow torched food is always a hard sell for me. You taste the torch more than the food it touches.
Looks good.

Looks good, Mike! If you happen to come through Arkansas, then hit me up. I will show you some southern gems in my part of the state.
Chicken nuggets are a southern gem?
@hamansing787 Haha! I'd choose that over the dogs and cats you likely eat....
Mike, doesn't your place sell dumplings?
Not going to lie, I skipped to the sushi part, it looks outstanding.
Let's have Uni for breakfast everyday!
Love your content ❤❤❤❤
the joys of living in Vancouver, one of the only reasons why I still live here, cheap awesome Asian food,
What is the name of the burger at 7:18? I went there and ordered the #1 on the menu and it was completely dry with no sauce :(
You should check out double double in Richmond

Canada??
Why call it North America and not Canada? Seems kind of insulting to me.

North America is accurate. He's referring to the entire continent, not just Canada.

check out Richmond Public Market. should be some good food stalls
Can’t believe this goof was here haha
Idk why you’d cook the A5 wagu like that! Well done and boiled down?? 5-10 seconds tops in broth… like eating a well done waygu or filet mignon…
I’m so hungry button ⬇️
Crystal mall dumpling are good also
Wow how hectic is the uni tray
Instant like because you are in my city of Richmond

That dumpling is like a grenade ...
Is he sharing his food with someone there?😮
Mike plays to much with his foods before he eats them💁💁
when you can't go to china richmond is the next best thing
Pork Knuckle aka ham hocks in soul food terms.
I feel like Mikey over pays for things lol. He didn't eat the uni lol
There used to be a really good Persian place in that food court but they moved to Steveston
Check out Daddy’s grill in Richmond if you have never been before

❤️
But is it umami?
15:09 😂
Good evening please notice meee I'm ur number 1 fan
lol
Why so needy
Lmao😂
No lobster ?
Unless the raw egg is pasteurized, you are making a mistake doing that in North America. It's not hard to pasteurize your own eggs in the shell.
I don't believe for one second that you like uni.
Why’s that?
Personally I’m not a fan of it
How could he? He put the empty chopsticks in his mouth. 😂
Uni is fantastic especially with some rice and soy sauce
@ I tried it but for some reason I just can’t really dig it, I can eat raw fish but uni isn’t my thing
Uni-the laxative of the sea.
For the love of God, how can you managed to eat all that foods in the AYCE? You got 4 stomachs......like a cow does? Hahhahahha!!!
So fake. You didn't even eat the uni. Just promoted the business for a payoff.
