Just bought this Piano. This piece was one of the reasons I did. I played piano for 8 years when i was a child and over christmas I visited my parents and tried the piano and I didn't know a single thing, couldn't even read the notes anymore. So I decided to buy a piano and learn again. And I don't plan on stopping ever again! Very well played especially after only 3 months
Well-played, congratulations! Is this a VST sound? By the way, I'm also learning this same musical piece. Not to be meticulously pedantic, as I myself am self-taught and never had formal piano education. But I heard something at 4'10" part, although I am not sure. Nice hardware...!
Hi I am thinking about getting this keyboard, can I get more information about this VST? I don’t love the sound of the Casio because it is so bright but not sure how to fix that
Thank you! yes the piano sound is VST because i don't really like the sound of cdp-s100. Oh and yea the 4'10" part was a mistake by me, i hit the wrong note haha
Just in case you're still wondering, VST is just a sampled library. In some cases, they are able to be used independently, while others might also require usage of a DAWs as well. An example of DAW being GarageBand, and VST being Ravenscroft 275. You just plug your piano/keyboard into your computer/tablet/phone, and then are able to record with the usage of new tones thanks to the sounds that have been sampled in the VST! You can also run a cord back into your keyboard, to external speakers, or headphones to get instant playback. This is my basic understanding of VSTs. but a lot of information can be found here: www.pianodreamers.com/best-piano-vst-plugins/
I really enjoyed this piece! I was wondering if you were using a digital pedal with this piano. If yes, I would consider buying a piano and learning this piece myself :DD
Yes! I was using a DAW name Reaper with the Garritan CFX Piano VST Plugin. You can look it up online on how to connect the piano and use it with the software
Hey there! I have a couple of questions, if you could answer them, i'd appreciate. 1. Do you feel there's a difference in weight between the black and white keys? I have heard some complains regarding these new compact models. 2. Are the keys too noisy, how do they feel? I'm thinking about getting either this piano or the CDP-135 (which is the older model, though it seems it sounds a little better than this one). I'm probably just gonna use either one as a controller with VSTs, since both leave much to be desired in question of sound quality.
actually i bought the cdp-s100 because of the feel... i dont actually care about the sound that much cuz i'm going to use it as a midi with a good piano vst after all
i want you to play Nocturne no 20 in C sharp, this video was filmed almost 1 year ago so i think you already got some experience, or just another piece
To have a pure record of sound coming out from the piano with absolutely no surrounding interference, is to connect a USB cable from the digital piano to a mobile phone, then press record video from the mobile phone. This will only work if the digital piano has audio output feature that will come out from its USB connection. The presence of a USB port in the digital piano does not necessarily mean it has direct audio output feature, in such cases, you shall need an external hardware (sorry i forgot the brand) to be connected in between the digital piano and the mobile phone.
What perspective are you using here? I use the classic full mostly. I love the sound but i think mine isnt as thick sounding as yours. Or is it maybe because i am using a 61 semi weighted keys? And what version is your garritan? I dunno how to update mine. I only managed to update the aria player.

sorry for the late reply, the cdp-s150 feels the same as the cdp-s100 but the cdp-s150 does support the 3 pedals option (the SP-34 pedal) so it depends on you to choose s150 or s100, the key feels good not plasticky at all and the key action r not noisy so it's a pretty good option when you thinking about buying these
