It's a case in US, hard to put into context in Singapore

i thought the story has something missing but could not figure out what. after hearing from you it made sense now.
of cos selling a story that janitor become a millionaire sounds more sexy than a millionaire made more millions.
alwys remb wht u taught us: be critical.

Happiness is not in hoarding $ but spending and I have already put in place a spending plan when I retire in 6 years time and spending on all my dividends to the last cent

@@joshconsultancy such irony when people keep saving and not spend on themselves , only to leave for others to spend on their behalf .

Josh, do you think it is still advisable to continue with medical insurance beyond 70 when the premium would go into 5 digits annually? Or should we just self-insure by then?

!!! I definitely leaning towards paying 5 figure. I’ve seen so many claims just from cataract from elderly private clients alr. Chronic problems not even counting. Our health is almost certain to have stuff

I believe in saving. However, I prefer not to be as frugal as this man who did not enjoy life in his life. What is the use of him passing away with $8 million in bank. 人在天堂,钱在银行。

Financial Indepence is a dream now. With the skyrocketing inflation and people are different from 70s, it is not realistic to learn from those days. In the 70s, buying a house and education is cheap. There's no way for us in the present to copy from this example.

Slightly different rules but game is still roughly same
