Of course it is possible. I started practicing piano exactly 3 weeks ago. For now I learned how to play "Song on the beach" by Arcade Fire, and "Dawn Chorus" by Thom Yorke. It's not perfect of course, but I know how to play it. Next one is "On the nature of daylight" by Max Richter. I should learn that song in next 10 to 15 days hopefully..

I listen to this and I hear melancholy, acceptance, passion, sorrow, beauty, resignation - and yet a steely determination to go on and enjoy. Tiersen is a true master of his art. He's not merely composing a piece of music for the piano and playing it - he's composing a piece of emotions, and playing his audience. Bravo. Bravissimo.

I really admire his music so much, he is a master. When I went to France for a work trip I secretely desired to find a piano and play some of the melodies he created in the country where he was born, but there was no luck until the very last day in which I found a beatuful and tuned red piano in Charles de Gaulle airport. I spent around two hours playing, that was such as magic moment for me, I remember some lady came to me and said that she loved the music when I was playing 8 mm. Now I know this is the next piece I want to learn, its so powerful, full of deep emotion. I hope every airport, hotel and train station in the world had a piano.

Je pense que la musique est la meilleure communication au monde Elle nous fait ressentir des choses, elle nous remémore des souvenirs, elle peut nous faire danser, sourire, pleurer... L'intensité, notre manière de jouer révèle plus notre personnalité que les mots. Et ça Yann Tiersen l'a bien compris, c'est pour ça que dès 3 ans de piano j'ai commencé à jouer ses morceaux.

This song is soo addicting! There's so many elements in it to acknowledge. One minute it's hauntingly smooth, the next you're on a train ride in a snowstorm, then all of a sudden you find yourself on a merry-go-round??? My goshh how I love this guy's compositions. So expressive and comptemplative.

Yann has a certain style and a lot of his work is similar, he's not a technical composer but I don't mean that in a negative way. I still love his music.
