Love your videos! Would love to see a day in your life on the boat, tour of the inside of your boat, food videos of what you cook, food and spirits in grocery stores or restaurants you visit, and underwater video of hooking up your anchor when you are stopped (not sure the right terminology) and how that works and any beautiful fish or underwater scenery.
Should have "climbed" that North Face, and the Pelješac channel, and the Town of Korčula and it's archipelago. With 1km high Mount Viper rising from the sea at your left. It's spectacular.
@@sailingblackbird922 There are a few poisonous snakes in Croatia, one of them is the well known snake Poskok/vipera ammodytes. It's not very likely you'll cross on one of these, on Korcula there is none of them since they have introduced mongoose 100 years ago
You have to visit island Vis and Palagruza (half way to Italy), but the best sailing area is national park Kornati (hundreds of islands), it's nautical paradise
Vis is an island we do want to visit, we just need some favorable winds. Kornati looks and sounds wonderful, we might just try to get up there too. Thanks for the tips!!! Cheers, Kresimir!
@@sailingblackbird922 Most party boat doesn't have AIS though :( In Polace this is a natural reserve, I'm really shocked the party boat are allowed there... :(
Great video! Thanks for posting. Suggestions for future videos- to see someone with a big bazooga go back into that quiet bay and blast that ignorant, inconsiderate disco barge SOB out of the water! THAT WOULD BE NICE!!
Hi, i'm going sailing in Croatia in a weeks time. Any good tips? How much park fees did they collect for staying here? Also what are you using to secure to the rocks do you have a second anchor? Thank you. :)
Hello! Mljet National park charged us 400 kuna but allowed us to stay as long as we liked. The fee also includes a boat ride on great salt lakes over to island to see monestary. They have a good website. Lastovo National park charged 400 kuna for 3 days. There are mooring balls that you can pay extra for. We anchored at no charge. In the bay near Pomena we used our dock lines to tie ashore and did not use second anchor. The only other place we paid to anchor (besides a marina) was here: Uvala gradina goo.gl/maps/m99MSVbLiizace26A It was a nice protected inlet with mooring balls. You can also anchor for free. We did for a night then tried the mooring ball. np-mljet.hr/?lang=en pp-lastovo.hr/?lang=en Filling up water tank has been a challenge. We went to a marina for one night and filled up, showered, etc. Not sure of your situation but we ate here for many weeks. Apparently on Mljet in Polace you can fill jerry cans from the town spring water for free. Enjoy your time in Croatia! Let us know where you sail. Who knows, maybe we are in the neighborhood and can meet!
So beautiful. Nature heals us. I hope you are all doing well and staying safe!

Great ideas Kit, coming up soon! Thanks!
It is so much easier on the crew and the boat when you aren't fighting the current and the weather ...... : )
Soooooooo true! Cheers!
Thanks for the action shots! 😀
Any time!

We are near Kočula now and can see a different peak… Sveti llija on the penninsula. Impressive!
@@sailingblackbird922 Great! It's the same peak, Mount Viper (Monte Vipera or Vrh zmija) is the local colloquial name. Guess why. :-)
Snakes? But we read somewhere that no snakes are poisonous in Croatia. Is that true?

Those party boats are horrific 😂
We are developing a Party Boat Radar that will warn us a day in advance of an approaching party boat so we can scram before we have to see it. 😀

Volunteers? Anyone? Very funny, thanks!
Nice video. You should ask somebody from island how to pronounce Korčula ;)
Also how to pronounce Mljet
I know! We keep pronouncing both…actually many places incorrectly. No disrespect intended. We did ask finally and think we understand now. 😀
