That song though. “Father loves us, every one.” By that time religion had already been abandoned, so they’re singing about Jim Jones. It’s disturbing.

We’re a happy family yes we are, all in all we sing a song, father loves us everyone, we’re a happy family yes we are!! Do you know what they should put at the end of that song? they should go “Aww Jim Jones!!.”

Jim Jones practically used People's Temple often it seem to have "Who can I "bang" next today or tonight?" while spouting "The rest of you bitches, any sex I cut your balls off!" I notice with "religious" and "cults" organisations the "leader" himself often forbid sexual intercouse between followers yet he is a sex maniac. 😂😂

Jim Jones said they're not going to round us up like they did the Japanese and if you look at the whole scenario that's exactly what Jim Jones did to the people, he rounded them up in Jonestown and held them prisoner.

Screw ABC, this thing was half baked anyway. I already knew the story. I was just watching this for the 40 anniversary of Jonestown. There are many details they left out. Like Jim Jones being elected to the SF city council. And he was going to buy some land in Brasil first, but that deal fell through. Guyana was his second choice. Search TH-cam, I'm sure there are much better videos on here about this subject.

So now, because of Jonestown, she doesn't believe in heaven. She did while she was there.

Jim Jones was running a 'state' within a state. Venezuela wouldn't risk at the time a border incursion that put a large number of American lives at risk. Hence, why the Guyanese authorities were happy to leave Jim Jones alone to rule as he pleased his mini kingdom in the jungle.

There’s another reason why Jones chose Guyana, particularly the jungle that was called Jonestown: it wasn’t even a real place, it was separated from human agricultural living. The nearest town was several minutes away by car. It was a jungle and they carved a little village out of it. Whatever resources they had, they brought with them from America. Jones was super paranoid and wanted to escape the government and did not want to face the backlash, controversies and the press, so he left and went off the grid. To this day, I believe, if one were to go to Jonestown to pay their respects, they could. But it’s almost unrecognizable. The buildings and whatever else were buried by the overfrowing jungle and there are extremely few landmarks.

Everything that they produced, be chickens, eggs, vegetables or fruits got sold down river, including their sheets. They didn't have anything. So he literally brought food in to feed them (mostly rice.) every month which was costing him a lot of money and that's why he was pissed when they bitched about what they got to eat. While he got too eat the good stuff (Streak's, pork chops, chicken and so on. Claiming that he 'needed' it cause he was 'sick' so no one questioned it, including catsup and jello) the higher up's (guards, nurses, doctor, his bitches and his kids plus anyone else who did his bidding). All his 'over see'ers' got good food while everyone else starved. If you listen to him in some of his tapes, you will hear him chewing on ice. No one else had ice, only him.
On one of the tapes I heard someone complaining about the food they had to eat and he (jones) belittled the man, claiming he was eating the same thing, which he wasn't. His food was prepared before anyone else's and he ate in his cabin. The little old lady that survived said he ate better than anyone else. (She had a cabin across from his so she could see what was going on and Jones daughter would bring her over the extras that no one ate, (such as jellos, fruits and meat on occasions.) Read her book, it' really tells hows some things from another point of view went.

What the innocent babies and children went through ingesting that poison it tears me up! They would have been forcefully pulled away from their mothers, i'm sure most of the parents didn't want this when it came to real suicide. Imagine being forced to see your children murdered in front of you and you can't do anything to stop it! This was not a mass suicide it was a mass murder!

The same with Jim Jones. What if you met a person and their first name was Jim and their last name is Jones, and you said that they were a mass murderer
They would be hurt because you called that person a mass murderer just because that person’s name was Jim Jones. There’s even a rapper that I like and his name is Jim Jones. What I find peculiar is that Jones' lieutenants mostly seem to have survived. It wouldn't ordinarily be odd because they were the only ones allowed out of the concentration camp, except they all knew that Ryan was going to be there. For them to all suddenly have basketball games to attend or heading to town to do shopping on such an important day is very odd. It's like they knew...

I don't think anyone knew for sure that the Congressman would take some members, get killed, and that would lead to mass suicide/murder. He had the poison read, and killing the Congressman would've ended Jim Jones and Jonestown, so that became the time to end it on his own rather than be taken prisoner.

Isaiah 53:5, But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes, we are healed. For salvation, people just need to follow the way they did it in Acts? They were baptized in the water and of the spirit. Here's why! The gospel is the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. If we are to follow him, we must do the same thing. Death= repentance, Burial = baptism, and resurrection = being filled with the Holy Ghost and rising again from the dead. That's what Acts 2:38 is.We must obey the gospel, 2 Thessalonians 1:8-9, in flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that OBEY NOT THE GOSPEL of our Lord Jesus Christ... Matthew 7:21-23, Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that DOETH THE WILL OF MY FATHER which is in Heaven. St John 3:3-5, EXCEPT a man be born of WATER AND OF THE SPIRIT, he cannot enter into the kingdom of GOD.We can't come up with our own gospel. Galatians 1:8-9, But though we or an angel from heaven preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. Don't be cursed. One way for all people. Jews, Gentiles, and Samaritan. Our salvation has to match-up with the scriptures and no scriptures on the subject can be taken away.Eternity is TOOO long to be WRONG! st, John 5:39, Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.God told Noah exactly how to be saved, how he must build the ark. Noah didn't come up with his own plan like people are doing today. A sinner's prayer, you just have to believe, etc which is not in the bible. The gospels show what Christ has done on the cross for us. The book of Acts shows us the beginning of Christ's Church and how to enter the Church, obeying Acts 2:38. The letters were written to the Church to show us how to behave now that we are born again into the Church. It's better to walk alone than to walk with a crowd going in the wrong direction. Are we supposed to follow the teachings of the apostles? Acts 2:42, They continued steadfastly in the apostle's doctrines. Ephesians 2:20, We are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief cornerstone. If you believe in this message, help spread it in the name of Jesus Christ. God bless you!

Why didn’t he have to face the music before then? Because if this scam artist was exposed before hand, there wouldn’t of been a mass murderer, and 913 people wouldn’t have died.

The irony of Jonestown is that Jimbo Jones was spouting phrases of "freedom" and "liberation" when, even at the time, you only had at the forest from the trees and really ask yourself "A settlement, miles from any major town in the middle of no where! This sure in hell doesn't feel or look like "freedom." This is a prison camp without the barbed wire." The jungle was the barbed wire.
Also, socialism never works in practical terms. We are all different individuals, sizes, physicality, sex, abilities, and opinions, we are all going to have different requirements in terms of nutrients, e.g., 65 year old going to have a very different daily intake to a 25 year old, hence the imbalance of the food supply as Jonestown population grew. The settlement was only meant to accommodate 500 people. The population nearly doubled in reality, meaning there was never going to be a sharing of available resources, but as most socialists demonstrate ignore practical problems for "How can I keep this shitty project going or alive? Without looking like a fraud?"

There are many examples of how absolute power corrupts absolutely. Predators disguise themselves as protectors all the time. Did you know, Hitler wrote a play while he was in jail? He convinced people to blindly follow along to the tune of the toot of his horn into trouble. To violate fellow humans! There's a difference between learning from others and following their examples! He duped his followers, like Charles Manson on his ranch, or Jim Jones in Guyana, and Putin in Russia! I'll tell you now what I taught my own to maintain their autonomy. Be wise with how you allow others to influence you. Always follow your own conscience!
