I’m ready! Even tho you wrote this a year ago! Lol. I just bought a Glow-Shift boost gauge, even tho I already have the edge juice with attitude and don’t need it I still wanted a mechanical boost gauge.. I find that the edge boost gauge on the monitor is slow/laggy compared to your typical mechanical boost gauge since the edge is using your map sensor to read the pressure.. also if I map sensor goes bad I wouldn’t know it where now with having a mechanical boost gauge to look at and compare it to I’ll know if/when my map sensor needs replacing. I used Glow-Shift gauges with the pillar pod on my old Acura Integra race car and never had an issue with them which is why I decided to go with a glow-shift gauge yet again.. The rest of the gauges on the edge monitor seem perfectly fine and function awesome it’s only the boost gauge that would get on my nerves, when you push on the throttle even if it’s lightly you wanna see INSTAINTLY how much boost your making.. I don’t wanna have to sit there and try to hold a certain throttle position until the edge boost gauge catches up I find that very irritating 😠 Great video man! Still wish you would keep your 2nd gen tho! ;)
That Powerstroke Bloke I think they're fine for getting you reading of things. I don't see why people hate them so much. Unless I ever have some terrible experience with them, then I'd recommend them to anybody.
i hope you do a full length video of rebuilding the hy35 as i just bought one for my honda and i cant seem to find one anywhere on youtube or online for that matter
ronnie cason that's my plan. Rebuild it and probably sell it after I get another turbo and its rebuilt. Rebuild process is going to be similar to the hx35 rebuild video I have up. I think there might be couple small differences but I'm not 100%

I sold the truck back in September but they worked fine for me for the almost 2 years I had them. The new owner of the truck messaged me about a month ago too to give me updates on the truck and told me everything was rock solid with it. He only replaced a couple u joints on it. If you're thinking about gauges and want a budget friendly set then they will serve you well! I'm running Isspro EV2 gauges in my new truck and although they're a little more expensive, after getting them installed I wish that I had put them in my 2nd gen truck too. They are really nice and factory match your dash cluster gauges too!
i was about to buy a set of glowshift gauges for my 2000 Excursion before watching this video, i had no clue isspro makes gauges for diesels i work on heating and AC systems in highrise buildings and half my emergenchy calls are that a gauge blew out and is leaking or not giving a reading and its never an ISSPRO lol its always some knock off gauge so im going with isspro ...buy them once and have them for a long time i know its double the money but you get what you pay for just priced an ISSPRO set with egt,boost, trans gauge kit and pillar mount $532.85
There's one thing that you didn't talk about that is the single most important thing about gauges: accuracy. Have you checked how accurate they are? If they aren't accurate, then they a worse than useless. With a bad reading, you can make a bad decision away from how the truck feels because the gauges tell you something different.

Does your fuel psi gauge bounce back and forth? When idling?
i like my Glowshift gauges i have the boost /egt and transtemp
I have to get a trans temp gauge soon and hook that up. They really haven't shown me any signs that they're bad gauges.
What other options did you get with it? As in “adaptors” etc?
