Thank you for doing this video. Bakuchiol has been used in Ayurveda for centuries. It’s also called Babchi in Hindi and it’s even prescribed for vitiligo in Indian medicine. My mom had Vitiligo and the dermatologists told her there’s no cure. (She’s a radiologist herself.) But one of the Ayurvedic practitioners asked her to consume babchi and her vitiligo disappeared. I’ve started using Bakuchiol in the morning and it’s made my melasma so much better in two months.
Very interesting and it would be great to have this in larger amounts in serums etc for those of us with sensitive skin who struggle with tret etc but need the help at a certain age.
Sorry this is unrelated but Dr Sam, please could you do a video explaining moisturisers and how to know if we're using too much or too little? I've been reading a lot online (would never take as gospel but still) about doctors advising that using too much can cause clogged pores etc, or even that the vast majority of us shouldn't use moisturiser! Just wondered if you could dispel or confirm that in a video? Is it true that overusing it can cause clogging as a result of the skin barrier becoming weakened and should we re-train skin to get used to a minimal amount? X
I am thinking of adding bakuchiol or azaleic acid to my moring routine. I already use vitamin c & niacinamide. How many serums are too many? How do I determine which of the 2 I should add?
Im using the typologie 1% bakuchiol AM and PM and it's giving me smoother looking skin since I tried it but .. being 22 and having acne prone skin, I just hope the formula in this brand is a good friend
Thank you for this informative video. can you please help me with this question, I heard that Bakuchiol can increase chances of breast cancer, is that true???? Can you recommend a serum for sensitive skin? If possible Oil free?
Hi Dr Sam i am a mature lady, mid sixties taken fairly good care of my skin, if I were to choose one product ( apart from SPF) from your range what would it be? What is the most potent product for non sensitive skin am or pm or both... thank you ... ps love your SPF
Hello, I’m pregnant and have been using bakuchiol as an alternative to retinol. Thought it was safe then recently read that it is an androgen receptor inhibitor- which could’ve been bad if I was expecting a boy not sure what effect this might have on a female baby. Do you consider this safe for pregnancy?
Anita Cairns so it doesn’t enter fetal circulation? I guess there’s nothing conclusory on that yet. Anyway I’ve continued to use up the product I have but I won’t be purchasing it in the future just because it’s not nearly as effective as retinol

@@ellay4514 Well I can give you a further update. I started using A313 (Retinol) well over a year ago. So much oil usage with the Bakuchiol, and others, was creating carnage with my clothes, bed sheets and hair that constantly needed washing and so I was tiring of the regime I had embarked on/invested in.
