@@ThePunggolHandyMan the limescale was so built up it was yellow orange and last time I ran the steamer I guess when the water got below the top of the element it just started burning. At which point I found your video as I wasn’t sure how to use a “kettle” descaler with my steamer.
I tried on my tefal steamer and the heating head turned black. Not sure if i did anything wrong. I thought it should be a grey plastic colour. Not sure if i have damaged it though it still heats.
@@ThePunggolHandyMan ohh i thought of another thing to ask about electric kettles though not exactly on descaling... which is better... plastic interior kettle or those stainless steel type? 😗
This BOILS (pun intended) down to personal preference. The plastic used in kettles are designed to withstand the heat produced without degradation. However some people believe that the plastic may leach chemicals into the water during the boiling process (which is not true). That's why some prefer stainless steel or glass kettles as they have the impression that these are healthier.
@@ThePunggolHandyMan haha... okie... but my kettle which i have used for years turns brownish inside so made me think of getting a new stainless steel one but since steel is metal and conductive so wondering if its safer...
Followed. Now my steamer, which was smoking yesterday (!) is clean!

Hi, thank you for sharing.
Do you have any idea how to remove stubborn water stains on shower glass? I tried many ways but it doesn’t work. :(
You need to use a blade to scrape it but be gentle n careful
What type of blade? @@ThePunggolHandyMan
