Magic work sir! I've just started on my own GnG repair. Just a sprity blue screen so far! Few Tantalum and ceramic bits missing. I've had the EPROMs out this evening for a clean up, I suspect I need to check they are all good. Thanks for editing this, brilliant resource. I've only watched it 73,291 times so far.
I’m learning so much watching your repair vids. This one was pretty epic, nice work tracking down multiple problems 🧐
thanks . that's great to hear. I'm really learning myself too as I go too
Great work Olly , rock hard beast of a repair just like the game itself. Really enjoyed it, and as mentioned elsewhere, great to see your skills improve so much over 4 years.
The greater the genius the greater the holes in his socks. Your holes must be massive! Top video 5☆
great video ! I wish I had a class like this in my old school times ...
Just picked up a dead G&G, so this was my first stop to see what you did. Probe ordered!! Thanks for these videos, amazing information.. I see you have Kung Fu Master!!! Thats next on my list for repair! I need to ID the little blue caps...
Nice. Resistors going bad - never seen that before
You deserve sooo many more subscribers
Amazing job!
Well done on another epic repair! :-)
Thats alot of faulty chips on one board top vid 👍
Mind telling us the make and model of that desoldering gun? If it works well for you I may want to pick one up in the future.
Those Fajitsu's have failed in 1000's of boards, nice fix and great game.
yeah. they're the plague of these arcade boards at the moment. I might as well have replaced all of em regardless when I got the board. But it's more fun to figure out what's going on and where everything is :)
Hi, I need help and I have no idea who to ask. I have wrestlemania the arcade but the crt was broken so I tried a yt video connecting a TV crt to the jamma and I misread it. Now when I turn on the arcade I have sounds and button input but no picture. I know it's not the crt because I have another that I can connect and before I tried fixing the jamma with a normal TV I had picture on the other. I think the video input is broken but I don't know where to look
Do you burn all the ROMs again with a MAME set?.or just leave what you have on there.amd.burn dead.ones?
Great video. Glad you got it working. What are your sources for buying the 74LS ram chips? I needed a bunch for my Outrun repair but I had to go to multiple sources to find them.
thanks. multiple sources too. a lot of ebay searches and other places. there's no golden site for parts really
@@8bitmanshed Yeah, same. I've been stocking up slowly for each repair I do.
do you repair these on the side? dunno if your willing to fix mine
epic
Dead as a door nail
ahah Iike that :D
Another chip to watch out for are the ones that are badged S or SA there signetics just as bad as F chips but you get either dead outputs or bad timing on them
Have to filter out that CRT whine. Makes the video hard to listen to.
i don't hear it myself so i can't do much about that I'm afraid
@@8bitmanshed it's alright, I will still watch. Good videos!
