Thanks for the review. I do feel that you were just a little bit to caution when showing the articulation though . She gets way more ab crunch forward and backwards if you just push it more, she does have the traditional Mafex thigh swivel and she can kick up way higher past 90 degrees. She is also alot of fun she can pretty much get any pose you want for Jean Grey. Just don't be afraid to push the articulation points to the limits lol

If they added a head sculpt with her ponytail it would have solved the problem of her head articulation.

Never clicked on a video soo fast, glad you didn't get the same hand like your friend, I was afraid after you mentioned that. She looks good wish they gave her the red hair and more effects. You definitely gave me something think on... i do love jean grey but the 50/50 factor of same parts, pieces falling off and chipped paint im on the fence now, also thanks for the point out of the shoulder pads

I dunno man I read the comics in the Jim Lee 90s era and I think it is a great representation of her. You only seemed to reference the movie version Jean Grey and how she "can turn into the Dark Phoenix", yeah the movie representation of Jean Grey wasn't taken very well. But as far as comic book Jim Lee Jean Grey this figure is pretty good.

I hate that the cowl on her face, the border is skin colored and not blue like in the official promotional images. That makes me worried to order the figure

Actually it's a very nice figure, but it's Jim Lee version and not animated series animation. I grew up with animated series version so I prefer the ML version.

My MAFEX jean grey figure’s right forearm is backwards. Idk how to fix that 😤

@@DCSG81 I was only able to pull from the bicep. I tried to remove the peg for the wrist/hands but I’m scared I might break it. I feel that needs to come out before I can actually pull the forearm 😫
I really like her, but I seem to be in the minority based on most posts I’ve seen. The left pauldron came off on mine as well, and I also struggled to get it back on, but eventually did.
She’s ok… just average I guess

Jean is a bare minimum average figure, but what do you really expect from this character. Her face looks bland, her accessories are bland, the belt is annoying, the hair sculpt is cumbersome.
Mafex doesn't make the best female characters. I'm worried about best gal Rogue...

I don't understand why this figure has been getting the positive reviews that it has been. The hair alone basically breaks all articulation, she can barely look straight ahead. Heaven forbid you want to pose her with her head looking to the side.. Almost immediately upon opening I realized this just wasn't a very good figure. I was very disappointed after opening mine.
This makes me question Mafex’s Storm figure. In some promo shots, she can look up quite a bit.
@@BrandonNielsen87 If you look at the three head sculpts one of them does have hair that sticks out quite a bit more. That one might actually work. They really half-assed this Jean though. Psylocke too, really. They aren't doing the ladies justice really.
