As a person moving to the 2010 prius... I was completely amazed at the G-force while in Power mode. I did not expect it at all. It drives just like a small 6 cyl vehicle. turn off Power mode and it is a mild-mannered cruiser which in my case is averaging 61mpg in town. (yes, I drive for mileage). What a refined and wonderful driving machine!
I drive long distances and actually like the look of the 2010 Prius. My Prius is coming in now and I can't wait. It is one of the most comfortable cars i have sat in in a long time. and he didn't mention the tons of cargo space for a small car.
We just bought a pre owned Prius. It's a 2010. I love the gas mileage! I like the way it looks. I don't care if the interior is fancy, I don't need to feel like I'm sitting in a million dollar home going down the road. I do wish the seats were more comfy though, and that darn backup beeper! Why didn't Toyota put it outside the car? I think it's dumb inside the car.
I recently test drove a Toyota Prius Hybrid. Although I was only able to test drive it for a few miles, my conception of the Prius is that it's a fuel efficient car. Those who own the car can speak more about it for they drive it daily. Good car in my opinion.
With a hybrid, such as a Prius, you still need gas because it does not plug in. The gas engine is used to power the car and to run a generator to charge the battery.
I have heard that Toyota did have the idea of the solar panels recharging the Prius, but tests have revealed some radio interference after plugging in the panels to a Prius.
@SuperRainbowVeins Hybrid has 2 motors, normal engine and a DC motor, when possible the engine will be turned off and it will use the DC motor, so basically at low speed you won't hear anything cuz it run on electricity When the charge is inadequate and/or need more power, the engine will turned up and drive the car (at the same time charge the DC motor battery) However hybrid car is NOT GREEN due to its battery, it is not what you drive but HOW you drive a car
If you are looking for a fun winter sport, I've got the perfect one: get yourself any Prius with stock tires and take it to a snowy hill. Your challenge is to get to the top before Spring rolls around.
I like the new prius, not the worlds best looking car but like a maserati compared to the older ones. I test drivin it around dublin but I managed to get 65mpg average and the power button is something that the prius desperately needed because in the old prius, overtaking was...not possible. What I don't understand is the solar roof, it's heavy, deer increases CO2 figures which is tax costly and would only make any sense if you lived in Spain or Italy. Not the UK, Germany, Ireland or Finland.
My wife's 2015 prius 4 with solar package and heads up display it works great and we can ajust how high and low the display is on the windshield looks like its floating on the road in front of where we are looking
@ Ken Ferri ugly is in the eye of the beholder, some might said what you are driving now is even ugly, personally, I like this look, and so does many other
Huh solar panels on roof. Is there any better use for them than powering the air conditioner? Hmmm. How about CHARGING THE CARS BATTERY!!!! Oops... I forgot. They still want you to pay money to charge it at home...

@sjspeller.; Good for you ! I hope that the hybrid and plug-in hybrid cars become the norm by 2020 !!
@SuperRainbowVeins No, you still have to pay for gas. The hybrid works by using an electric generator along with gas.
Awesome car. Will sell more when gas reaches $7.00 to $8.00 a gallon.
Gas better not be $7-$8 per gallon wtf

Yes...the Prius II is the way to go. Who wants to pay thousands for factory navi that cannot be adjusted while driving.

My wife's 2015 prius 4 with solar package and heads up display it works great and we can ajust how high and low the display is on the windshield looks like its floating on the road in front of where we are looking
how to make your Japanese radio in English version
In other words. BUY Prius 2 not 3 or fancy 4 and save money on gas, insurance and maintenance.

It's the most reliable car can go 300k+ depending on type of comuting each day
this prius does not plug in, like the nissan leaf, chevy volt, or the prius plug in.
I added a sunroof to ours....now has Every option.
what's the music?
@ Ken Ferri ugly is in the eye of the beholder, some might said what you are driving now is even ugly, personally, I like this look, and so does many other
he's hitting the touch screen really hard
I'm glad the Prius gives some old farts a nervous break down and I love it.
What is the battery lifetime? 5 years?
How much is for the replacement?
Avantgarde Auto Centre I've been hearing things from drivers like 200'000 miles and up.
Well mine is 11 years old and still have the original battery
mi want =D despite the recalls
The 1980ies called; they want their LCD-display back.
Huh solar panels on roof. Is there any better use for them than powering the air conditioner? Hmmm. How about CHARGING THE CARS BATTERY!!!! Oops... I forgot. They still want you to pay money to charge it at home...

it's a Japanese company, not Chinese.
Buy a Ford Fusion hybrid, its twice the car, better quality and will stop when you expect it too.
It's 2013 and The Prius is still the most hidious car on the planet. Time for a refresh Toyota and add some quality into it.
The 90's?
I wonder how those sawed off excellerator petals are working out for everyone? Toyota Quality?? LOL
Yeah because horsepower and homophobia reassures your manliness...
This thing will be obsolete in less than 2 years WAY over priced cost saving is not justified.
