I discovered the sauna 22 years ago.
Due to water restrictions and subsequent sauna closures in my country,
I built a wood fired sauna in my garden.
    I sauna every day.
    Sometimes twice.
    I hardly ever get sick.
I have covid now and I’m taking it a bit easier inside there,
    but I’m continuing.
If you have the space and means to build one, do it.
Nothing on this planet is more luxurious and healthy than your own home sauna.
It is the ultimate way of life!

Dry sauna? And you said to be sverige. Oh. It goes like this.1. Take quick shower 2. Go to sauna 3. Throw some water to hot rocks in "kiuas"
    4. Enjoy steam 5. Take another quick shower and repeat.
You can do it daily, if no heart problems.
    No shower, your sweat smells.

I've read Clear Body Clear Mind. It's fascinating how much stuff comes out of your body, but you have to sauna like five hours a day, you also have to take very high doses of vitamins - especially niacin. Niacin is the key with it. You also have to literally drink oils to help pull things out. It's pretty intense.

Thank you so much for all your great content and information! You had briefly mentioned in an older video that over 90% of fat loss occurs during Delta wave sleep. I have also heard from other sources that approximately 84% of fat leaves the body as CO2.
So, I wanted to see if you would answer these few questions...
    1. How does respiration factor in during sleep versus activity?
    2. What are your thoughts on fat being largely exhaled after "burning?"
    3. Is increased fat burning during delta wave sleep mainly a hormonal function? HGH, glucagon, etc.?
    4. If you do extended fasting, is the hormonal environment during delta wave sleep that much more superior?

I've sworn by the sauna for years after every workout, add in an ice bath just before and you are creating the perfect conditions for quick recovery (a cold shower will suffice but salted ice baths are king)

To clarify, is your ice bath right before your sauna?

@@WH2012 Yes If I am at a facility that has both however usually it just has to be a cold shower sadly.

Heating up artificially after an ice bath takes away a lot of the benefits of letting your body do the warming up for you

Should you have a cold(ish) shower directly after the sauna?? My gym has the sauna temp set at around 145 degrees.....should I spend more time in there in that case? Like 30 min.? I don’t think they’ll let me raise the temp , but I’ll ask.....it’s an individual sauna .

    Dr. Berg,
Can you use the sauna & exercise while doing a prolonged fast?

    • @Prophezora
      @Prophezora 2 ปีที่แล้ว

You probably want to build up a tolerance to fasting. Some people can't excercise while in fasting mode, at least not at first.
