When I met her at a QnA meet and greet it was so awful! During the QnA she only answered questions from kids but as soon as the show started she said it wasn’t for kids. That switch was always there, but no one was saying anything sadly. I stopped watching right after that show in Feb 2023

It was terrible, and teachers played off what she has done as “not true”. And this isn’t the first time my school has let a pdf around kids too. Also, if someone has had even a single accusation against them, why even consider letting them visit a school? I just emailed the school’s principal. Im sorry, not to be incredibly parasocial, and I didnt name any names or get into specifics abt anyone who shes affected , but I wrote a bit of a letter to them on behalf of all those that Colleen has victimized. If they can’t do their due diligence in looking into the factual evidence of her Verifiably criminal acts, they dont deserve to have children in their building. Ignoring their own students discomforts, WHO HAVE ACCESS TO THIS PUBLIC INFORMATION, is absolutely inexcusable. I dont really expect them to respond or care, but I couldnt just say nothing.
and i truly apologize if speaking on behalf of anyone (as i of course was not personally affected by her) is not what anyone wanted, or if you adam would not have wanted me to do that, but I just genuinely believe that every single school system that ignores their students boundaries needs to do better and be better. I saw this video last night and all I could think about was how you would react to it because I was just in complete utter disbelief at Colleen’s self-centeredness, and how it is all about her!!! how she thought that posting about that would make her look better is astounding and then on top of that the school to side with her! if I was a parent and I found out my kid had to go to something with her , with all the crap that she’s done I would’ve been livid and complaining and yelling at the school! Im sorry, regardless of what they think about social media and cancel culture....that school brought in a woman that as an ADULT was in private chats with CHILDREN and encouraged them to bully people.
Thats actually wild. The principle, teachers, and anyone who had any part in promoting Colleen and anything she stands for needs to be removed from their postions. They are not protecting the youth in their care at all.
This school should be sued... when a bunch of kids say that a speaker makes them feel unsafe (hell, if even one student feels that way), they should be listened to. Schools should be safe places. And yes, I'm aware this was in the US, so I guess safety in schools isn't a factor 🙄.
People like Colleen can never just stop, can they? They get called out enough, they hide away for a little bit, only to come back acting simultaneously like they're reformed and also a victim... then they go right back to abusing people. Once you recognize this pattern, this cycle of abuse, you're less likely to fall for it. Given that this is a learning establishment, the ignorance on well documented patterns of abusive behavior is astounding.
Also, if someone has had even a single accusation against them, why even consider letting them visit a school? When it comes to the safety of children, it's best to air on the side of caution (unless it violates someone's rights, obviously). I want to highlight the irony of the teachers emphasizing "cancel culture", meaning they're likely conservative. Why are these people so concerned about children's "safety" when it comes to marginalized groups existing, but when there are actual threats, they minimize and deny the harm done by actual abusers? It's disgusting, frankly.
The way she breathily talks close into that mic makes my skin crawl. Especially on the "I miss it so so much (engaging with high schoolers). I miss it so so much" 🤮🤮🤮 And you can feel her trying to lure more kids in with the whole "I love theatre and I love encouraging young people in theater" etc this is so creepy and gross and dangerous.
