    if anyone is reading this and hates the subscription model of the adobe creative cloud Powerdirector and Photodirector come as a bundle for $150 (bought on sale, I think $180 normally). They're awesome pieces of software that are very similar in strength to adobe premiere, and photodirector sorta combines a bit of photoshop and lightroom into one single program and integrates beautifully into powerdirector. If you consider how much you pay on the photography bundle alone on the creative cloud ($15/month = $180/year) and you intend to do this for the foreseeable future, a one off investment makes way more sense for this sorta stuff.
    just an FYI.

    Interesting how you can improve the GoPro color ((04:32) with such a dramatic difference. I used to shoot in flat, then "auto color" in DaVinci. But now that my computer is under equipped to use DaVinci and I am using Shotcut which does not have an auto color, I have to manually color which results in a quality that I do not like. But shooting in GoPro color while just enhancing dynamic range, could be the way to go, based on your results.

      if you tap on the clip while you're editing in KineMaster, the grid will appear to the top right of the screen with all the options you need to add colour, make adjustments & create vignette - click on the icon called "filter" (middle left of the grid) that will bring up an option to add preset filters to each of your clips individually - have a go with the presets - if they're too drastic - go back and bottom middle of the grid is an icon called "adjustment" that will allow you to simply increase contrast and pull down shadows like you see above - hope this helps mate

    How do you deal with the fact there’s always this weird pixelation in videos. I typically shoot in 2.7k and when I go to export is always has some artefacts.

    • @JakeRichandAnnaChah
      @JakeRichandAnnaChah  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I often find that only really happens on the hyperlapse sections and I think the best way to smoothen that out is add a motion blur in post or shoot with an ND filter (both of which I've never done hence why I'm still seeing a few artefacts) - there's definitely ways around it - I would also look into what your export settings are, are you using a high enough bit rate?

    • @jamespenny94
      @jamespenny94 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Jake Rich yeah it seems worst at higher ISO but even at max 800 it’s not great. Even if I match the rate it seems to do it. It’s a hero 5 but even my 3 produced better footage so hoping it was something silly I’m doing !

    • @JakeRichandAnnaChah

    • @jamiemulford988
      @jamiemulford988 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jamespenny94 What editing software do you use? It may be some interaction with your clip configuration and export settings. For example with Sony Vegas you'll get bad pixelation in a lot of cases if you leave the clip setting "resample" enabled (which is annoyingly enabled by default). So if you disable resample then you get no pixelation.
