- Lethal Company Gameplay is funny above all else. Whoever made the Lethal Company proximity chat should patent it as the make your friends cry laughing system. I never expected Lethal Company to be this good, I normally avoid multiplayer indie games like Lethal Company but this game has given me some of the funniest moments I have ever experienced online.

I did the same thing first time I saw one. Didn't bother using my scanner first I just walked right on top of it and tried to pick it up, said "wtf is this thing why can't I grab it?" scanned and saw "landmine" just before my buddy came into the room to see what was going on. I killed both of us

Always fun figuring out who the lemming(s) of the group with 0 self preservation is(are). Some just think a mine is some form of loot (hubcap, wheel, roomba, you name it), some try to "defuse" it with a shovel, some are just deaf, blind and maybe a little stupid, all are great assets to the company (as long as they meet quota).
I still think my favourite moment of this game so far was when I stepped on a landmine, my companion and I debated about if I was actually stepping on it, it ended with me stepping off it, killing us both and leaving our last member in the ship with no idea we were even in danger

I was with two other people and one of them got separated from us two. I mistook a landmine for a weight on one of those bars you squat with and tried to pick it up XDDD the last thing I heard was his scan and him yelling it was a landmine not scrap XDD
First mine I saw I thought it was garbage to collect, I kept standing on it strafing back and forth trying to pick it up for like a solid 30 seconds before my whole team finds me and were like "Hey what are you doing?!?!" and I tried walking to them starting to say "I'm trying to pick up this tra-" and we just all blow up.
The mark of this being a good game is that I still laughed imagining this description
mine was when I was on dine with my friends and I was just waiting for them in the main room, I didn't realize they had all died, one of them died to a bracken, and the other two died because one of them ran backwards from the bracken into a landmine, killing both of them, when I finally decided to go check on them, I saw the bracken and screamed and ran away back to the ship

The whole game is like this. IDK how the dev did it, but this game just always has perfect timing. Every monster encounter, every dead friend, everything is a scene straight from a horror movie, and none of it is scripted. Actually incredible game.
It's even better when the person was carrying a flashlight, so when they get grabbed the on flashlight is on the ground. Perfect horror
This game is genius. It's Starship Troopers tier satire about working at a company that gives no shits about you, and will actively hurt you if it deems it profitable or necessary.

Then in that case, it doesn’t stand as having anything of substance without that satire. Which would be more accurate. Lethal Company does on the other hand have an extremely high quality of satire and both actual substance to it.

Every death me or my fellow interns endure, feels like a horror movie. The screaming down the halls until there is nothing but silence. Not knowing whos dead when your walkie dies. Coming back to the ship to realize your comms guy has been dead the whole time. Its all so great.

My favorite moment was when we had 2 new members with us and landed and were showing them the ropes. After the first quota we landed on a rainy planet and both me and my other veteran member jumped of the ship and immediately fell into a quicksand pit killing us right away and leave the 2 newbies to just watch and then have to complete the whole mission by themselves.

I love how it looks, it's so stylized and full of personality. The monsters feel like actual unique creatures not an arbitrary enemy. Nothing feels manufactured just to scare you.

I actually love this take. Most of the stuff is more goofy than scary, but because you know just about everything can/will kill you, and theres a chance nobody will know, that's the thing thats scary.
I don't think a game has ever scared me so fast. I booted it up with my sibling, we messed around, landed the ship, and walked out of ear shot of eachother. That sudden silence and lonliness was actually horrifying. Its hard to put into words how valuable communication is and how much we take it for granted in our hyper connected world. That feeling of "oh shit, if I die here no one will know what happened" is equal parts exhilarating and horrifying.
That divorced dad joke made me spit out my water, oh my god.

I think the lack of interfaces / UI is a thing where this game really shines too. Interacting with stuff directly is so much better than with an immersion breaking interace. It's also really smart for this indie dev, because this way you have to do minimal UX/UI design.
I still really wish it had keybinds for the inventory instead of just mousewheel

It really adds to the tension to hear your friend screaming for dear life only to be cut off mid scream. And that can only work with proximity chat that Lethal Company offers.

There’s a mod you can install that doubles the characters you can have in a game. To say that it is chaos would be an understatement.
My group ends up being way too organized with only like 3-4 people, maybe there will be some funny stuff if we get far in but with like 6 people it's just immediate insanity

I just played the game and as me and my friend were walking across a bridge, the literal exact precise moment i said "i dont think this bridge can actually break", it exploded and launched us deep into a pit with the distant voices of my friends on the other side of the bridge laughing.

It absolutely did perfect with the proximity chat, not only that but the atmosphere of the game as a whole is impeccable, masterpiece of a game.
This game made me laugh so hard, the scenes are just amazing when suddenly your homie stops talking and the monster that just shut him up just stare into your soul letting you the time to think about everything before killing you, just amazing.
The "flower man" is by far the scariest of the monsters, mostly because me and my friends struggled to figure out it's gimmick at first lol
The genius behind adding clips all through the end of the video, even when he's in the conclusion, is... well... genius

Playing a 10 person lobby and returning to the ship alone while being chased only to discover everyone else is dead is the best thing thats happend to me
One of the scariest experiences in this game is waiting on a landmine in the darkness while my friend went back to the ship to turn it off, I could hear something walking around the corridors it was terrifying

For anyone wondering, the atomic mirror brain segment came to Habie from astral gods. Habie said that the gods came to him in a dream and said to him "Habie, the key to success is to yell at people that give you money." Supposedly Habie woke up in a sea of sweat and thought to make the supreme Atomic Mirror Brain and to yell at them every episode. That is story time, come back next week for more Habie lore.
Zeekerss is one of if not the best indie horror dev I've seen, I love all their works and I've been following them since they were a roblox dev
I am very glad to have experienced this game before it went mainstream so that now I get to watch content on it without feeling like I'm missing out.

this game is made by the same guy who made "the upturned" which is a similar style of 'funny horror'...similar animation style and sound design as well. so it's really no surprise it's so funny, and i feel like it'll only get better as development goes on, i love it.

I love this game so much, the amount of clips I've had from this because of the funny moments I've experienced over prox chat is insane.
You know what makes this game so much better while using voice chat? There's a mod called "Skinwalkers" that records audio from you and your friends and plays it back at the location of the monsters.
Some of my friends were playing a game where one of them died and #2 was looking for him, and he shouted out "[#1] where are you?" and a monster replied in #1's voice, so #2 didn't realize he was dead until much later.
There's tons of hilarious clips that resulted from this mod, I urge you to check it out

it's moments like 9:25 that make me love the flowerman/bracken so much. you and your friend are explaoring a new room, you look away for just 3 seconds, when you turn around hes gone with nothing but a blodd trail where he once stood.
In one the first couple games me and my friend played, I went into the building first and stepped on a land mine right next to the entry room thinking it was scrap. My friend had fallen behind and was being paranoid about the 4 winged birds, ran inside warning me saying “there’s something in the sky.” Just to see my dead body and immediately go completely silent with no idea how I died.

I remember the first time I played this game I went in completely blind with one of my friends. Me and that guy spend about 30 minutes being terrified of a hoarding bug.
The funiest thing about puting a color blind person on radar duty is that it also uses shapes so there just bad.

They should create a monster that has sonic scream when it attacks and rings the players ears that attacks them, so when a friend tries to communicate it’s almost impossible to hear through the ringing

The thing im most excited about, is that this game is not done. Its some of the most fun ive ever had in a multiplayer game and it doesnt feel incomplete, but the developers have said that they have so much more planned for this game.
For one i think they said they’re working on a monster that can record and replicate your voices, which would be the most terrifying thing gaming has ever seen

Had a moment today where we were cautious of a turret and landmines. There was one landmine on top of pipes that run on the wall and bracken arrives. Buddy backs away slowly towards the mine while I'm his "radar". I tell that DO NOT MOVE ANY MORE BACK and he steps on to the mine. You hear the "click" and as instinct he gets off the mine, killing himself and me along with. Third buddy witnessed this all and was mortified but amused.

For some it might get stale, but I expect it to be a fun game every now and then for a long time to come. Especially with the coming updates

Wouldn't say Lethal Company got so good BECAUSE of proximity chat, its a part of the ingredients in this horror cake. Many horror games have had prox chat, what makes lethal different is the gameplay surrounding it compliments prox chat as one of it's additions rather than something just thrown in, the experience is well crafted with it as apart of it's mechanics.
