Can we talk about how much of a Unit Sigurd is?
He survived and reported about every single monster in the game. He survived his first encounters with those too, even knowing how the bracken turns aggressive when gazed on or how the Jester becomes deadly after playing his Melody.
He survived all of it. DUDE, I STILL DIE REGURARILY TO THE SPIDERS.
Literally the only one he hasn't recorded in his logs is the little girl, simply because it's a figment of one's imagination because they're too paranoid.

This game has made me so invariably happy, the fact that it's got great mechanics, is clippable as all get out, and has LOOOOORE is just too perfect.
I had only theorized that the Company was actually the monster inside (Since it's always referred to as an entity, not a group) and that it was kinda enslaving humanity to feed it, I just never got far enough to find all sigurd's logs! Thanks for doing the hard work Mat

i think in the full game there should be ending after 90 days because it seys that you have singn 1 season long contract with the company (but it would take a lot of work since 70 days is something around 12K quota)

Something I don't think is mentioned in this video (10:00 in the video to be precise) is the fact that if you or another player keeps ringing that bell on the desk too much, you start to hear growling noises (screams maybe?) and the screen starts to shake a little bit. Keep ringing that bell will open up the little hatch and some monster tentacle will lash out, killing the player.

ive only watched the videos when i saw the farewell and didnt even watch that (just the thumbnail) and some of the tweets/reaction
the intro,... man brings back the years. and i can feel how this is much less edited compared to the last video ive watched... man i feel like everything else is ending.
Ever since Lethal came out I've been so hyped for a game theory on it- however, I'm surprised you didn't talk about the monsters' connections to Sigurd's crew or the fact that the Company's transmissions don't come from the Company Building but on the other side of the galaxy.
I hope you guys do a follow up when it comes out of early access!
It's been out for a while but might be worth checking out Pyrocynical's review/theory on the game. I like the angles that MattPat brings, but a lot of times it really feels like he's picking pieces of circumstantial evidence and misrepresenting things.
Like if both the monsters and the bestiary was produced by the company, why would the bestiary "speculate" on the intention of their weapons? Or the fact that it actively gives misinformation like the dogs attack each other?

The thing i love with lethal company is it's like phasmaphobia in the sense of it's scary at times but doesn't rely on cheap tactics to scare you like most horror games, it doesn't have any jumpscares and is more psychological, it also is a co-op game with proximity voice chat and even if your not a youtuber as long as you got a friend or two you'll be laughing because it creates so many funny moments
What do you mean doesn't have a jump scares coil heads have had me off my chair. Not denying that it's an amazing game though.
A single mod makes the existing jumpscares worse and all it does is add mimics that repeat you and your friends voice lines back to you
i remember reading that the creator took heavy inspiration from phasmophobia's proximity chat system and was overall a fan of the game itself. of course, seen in that the two share vastly different systems for proximity chat, zeekerss had their own idea of how they think proximity chat could be best implemented.

Seeing MatPat do theories on games both old and new is gonna be something I'll deeply miss.

It's implied that the company is named "Halden Electronics," so there's a chance that they did make the turrets and mines, but unlikely that they made the monsters on the moons.
Jeb(the monster in the company) is also most likely a (i dont know how to describe it other than this) Wither storm-type-creature. Perhaps from deep space or another plain of existence.
Another idea is that maybe the *Golden Planet* is Earth. We as a species would probably give our birthplace a sentimental and important name.
To round it off: it's never said that humanity has almost gone extinct. The only mention of war is, "i heard Titan won't be the same in 2 years," and even then, that could mean a plethora of things.
I'm not trying to correct you in any way. I'm just adding more stuff/theory's to the table

I don’t actually think it is implied that the company is halden electronics, that is just where the terminal is from. Also matpat never said that humanity is extinct, just that all the moons that are available to go to are ravaged by war and radiation and therefore uninhabited

I think what I’m going to miss the most is your voice. It’s just so iconic for me. I’m still gonna watch all the theory videos because I’m sure the new personalities are gonna be just as great. As a Die hard Lethal Company fan, this is a blessing, two of the coolest things, Lethal Company And MatPat. Thank you for everything you have done on youtube.
There’s this really underrated game called “Please don’t touch anything” on VR. It has a bunch of endings, lore, symbolism and all of that stuff that would be PERFECT for a Game Theory,or even just a GT Live stream.
It is not that underrated, Just became old. They streamed it on gt live (the reason I am saying that it's not underrated is because when the game first came out almost everyone made videos of it)

Little detail for any would-be theorists- the "factory" is actually the _maintenance hallways_ of said factory. That's why we don't find proper machinery, it's on the other side of those walls.

Sometimes if you go deep enough into the factory you do actually find what looks like a conveyor belt system.

I always thought when playing Lethal Company that after a few quotas the thing behind the wall sounded.. *Bloated* like it was full of something, and the only thing I could think it's eating is the scrap, you can hear it groaning and hear it's stomach grumble
Quick thingy i found: Typing "fortune", a word i saw just when getting on the monitor, gives you "you must scan this creature to get more data" so it makes sense fortune is the fortune (gold) eating monster, and like other creatures he is man-made.
no it doesnt lol the game is just autocorrecting into "forest keeper", the game finds the first 3 letters of the thing you type, and then gives you a result based off those 3 letters.

We LOVE that Tom is leaning in on the "there is no moon" joke from their GT Live Jackbox Part Pack video! Although we do feel bad that the day it was actually his and his wife, Stephie's anniversary. Hi matpat! so there's this game called THE FINALS the game is based off of a VR game around 2051 the game has MANY easter eggs and some lore that if someone tried to peice together the story that would make so many fans happy. i know the chances of u seeing ths are low since as of when this was commented there are 6.9k (I'm not joking) and it will be hard since there are only currently 2 lore videos but in the future i would LOVE for u to do this and from now on I will just keep commenting on your newest videos until u at least mention the finals so today is DAY 1

But whilst that is obvious...I just feel like it needs to be emphasised how fricking hyped I am for Tom to take over. Its big shoes - the flagship channel. As a fellow Brit and someone who has always enjoyed his cameos...I'm hyped about what hes going to do.

There's an inactive drill that looks like it needs at least 3 apparatus' to turn on, so that might be one of the first steps for finishing the game, when implemented. Excited to see what gets added from that

7:19 Apparenlty the nutcrackers don’t show up on the terminal map as well- which makes me think that they were meant to be guards, hence not showing up and attacking you on site
They do appear on the map, it’s just the the shotgun they hold is counted as scrap so the yellow triangle overlaps the red enemy dot.
