Can we talk about how much of a Unit Sigurd is? He survived and reported about every single monster in the game. He survived his first encounters with those too, even knowing how the bracken turns aggressive when gazed on or how the Jester becomes deadly after playing his Melody. He survived all of it. Literally the only one he hasn't recorded in his logs is the little girl, simply because it's a figment of one's imagination because they're too paranoid.
I read the fine print. "The Conpany may or may not be responsible for the Gordion incident. Please do no investigate us and absolutely please do not drill through our protective wall " Matpat has a solid theory with that fine print.
Something I don't think is mentioned in this video (10:00 in the video to be precise) is the fact that if you or another player keeps ringing that bell on the desk too much, you start to hear growling noises (screams maybe?) and the screen starts to shake a little bit. Keep ringing that bell will open up the little hatch and some monster tentacle will lash out, killing the player.
I like how there is an in-game reason as to why brackens spawn most frequently on vow. Brackens are most likely a nocturnal predator, and the leaves on their back were for both blending into the environment or making forest giants think they were some exotic species of plant, and when the moons where industrialized, they used the buildings as nests. The dark and narrow hallways helped them tremendously for picking off the unluckly prey that happened to wander into the buildings
The thing i love with lethal company is it's like phasmaphobia in the sense of it's scary at times but doesn't rely on cheap tactics to scare you like most horror games, it doesn't have any jumpscares and is more psychological, it also is a co-op game with proximity voice chat and even if your not a youtuber as long as you got a friend or two you'll be laughing because it creates so many funny moments
i remember reading that the creator took heavy inspiration from phasmophobia's proximity chat system and was overall a fan of the game itself. of course, seen in that the two share vastly different systems for proximity chat, zeekerss had their own idea of how they think proximity chat could be best implemented.

Ever since Lethal came out I've been so hyped for a game theory on it- however, I'm surprised you didn't talk about the monsters' connections to Sigurd's crew or the fact that the Company's transmissions don't come from the Company Building but on the other side of the galaxy. I hope you guys do a follow up when it comes out of early access!
It's been out for a while but might be worth checking out Pyrocynical's review/theory on the game. I like the angles that MattPat brings, but a lot of times it really feels like he's picking pieces of circumstantial evidence and misrepresenting things. Like if both the monsters and the bestiary was produced by the company, why would the bestiary "speculate" on the intention of their weapons? Or the fact that it actively gives misinformation like the dogs attack each other?
Have you noticed that items that are more sentimental are more expensive? Like a tattered sheet and a engine is somehow less expensive then a loud robot , And things like teeth, mirrors, are all expensive.
This game has made me so invariably happy, the fact that it's got great mechanics, is clippable as all get out, and has LOOOOORE is just too perfect. I had only theorized that the Company was actually the monster inside (Since it's always referred to as an entity, not a group) and that it was kinda enslaving humanity to feed it, I just never got far enough to find all sigurd's logs! It's implied that the company is named "Halden Electronics," so there's a chance that they did make the turrets and mines, but unlikely that they made the monsters on the moons. Jeb(the monster in the company) is also most likely a (i dont know how to describe it other than this) Wither storm-type-creature. Perhaps from deep space or another plain of existence. Another idea is that maybe the *Golden Planet* is Earth. We as a species would probably give our birthplace a sentimental and important name. To round it off: it's never said that humanity has almost gone extinct. The only mention of war is, "i heard Titan won't be the same in 2 years," and even then, that could mean a plethora of things. I'm not trying to correct you in any way. I'm just adding more stuff/theory's to the table

There’s this really underrated game called “Please don’t touch anything” on VR. It has a bunch of endings, lore, symbolism and all of that stuff that would be PERFECT for a Game Theory,or even just a GT Live stream.
It is not that underrated, Just became old. They streamed it on gt live (the reason I am saying that it's not underrated is because when the game first came out almost everyone made videos of it)
I'm really glad this was made! I feel like the secret logs got REALLY overlooked in everyone's playthroughs, but I was always curious what story (if there was one) was being told through them.
i think in the full game there should be ending after 90 days because it seys that you have singn 1 season long contract with the company (but it would take a lot of work since 70 days is something around 12K quota)

Little detail for any would-be theorists- the "factory" is actually the _maintenance hallways_ of said factory. That's why we don't find proper machinery, it's on the other side of those walls. Lethal company is the best. Simple. I'm so glad Mat decided to meet and greet it, and it'll be so nice to see a theory continue from someone else's ideas to another person's. I don't think that's really happned before.
Quick thingy i found: Typing "fortune", a word i saw just when getting on the monitor, gives you "you must scan this creature to get more data" so it makes sense fortune is the fortune (gold) eating monster, and like other creatures he is man-made.

honestly, i'd love it way more if the drill opened up a sort of final level which is just an incredibly difficult building where you have to navigate the Company building to defeat the Beast. It would be an awesome way to be a final test of skill for players

What do you mean doesn't have a jump scares coil heads have had me off my chair. Not denying that it's an amazing game though.
A single mod makes the existing jumpscares worse and all it does is add mimics that repeat you and your friends voice lines back to you

Sometimes if you go deep enough into the factory you do actually find what looks like a conveyor belt system.

We LOVE that Tom is leaning in on the "there is no moon" joke from their GT Live Jackbox Part Pack video! Although we do feel bad that the day it was actually his and his wife, Stephie's anniversary. Poor Tom was getting dragged for being a moon denier and roasted online for being British on their anniversary no less! 7:19 Apparenlty the nutcrackers don’t show up on the terminal map as well- which makes me think that they were meant to be guards, hence not showing up and attacking you on site
They do appear on the map, it’s just the the shotgun they hold is counted as scrap so the yellow triangle overlaps the red enemy dot.

honestly, i'd love it way more if the drill opened up a sort of final level which is just an incredibly difficult building where you have to navigate the Company building to defeat the Beast. It would be an awesome way to be a final test of skill for players
