LOKI SEASON 2 FINALE REACTION - IS THAT YYGDRASIL!? - First Time Watching 2x6 - Episode 6 Review

- Welcome to our first-time reaction to the finale of Loki Season 2! This season was such a blast but episode 6 was absolutely incredible. From the performances by Tom Hiddleston to the incredible music by Natalie Holt this season finale has everything we wished for and more.
What an arc for the God of Mischief himself! Finally realizing what his glorious purpose must be at least for the time being. Did he just create Yggdrasil!? Still this all feels like it was by design. He Who Remains still paved the road for Loki to timeslip which leads us to believe he knew Loki was the only one that was capable of bringing some balance to the collapsing multiverse by turning himself into a living time stone and a temporal loom all at once.
He Who Remains wanted one thing and one thing only. To prevent the war across the multiverse. But doing things his way meant no free will and a lot of annihilation every time they pruned a timeline. Now with Loki we have someone in charge that cares for every single one of those timelines.
He is doing his part, now it's time for the TVA and the Avengers to step up and help cleaning up this mess that the Kang variants have started to cause.
Loki finally sits on his thrown. All we can hope for is that the sun will shine on him again.

What a finale! We were absolutely blown away by how they managed to wrap things up for now. What did you guys think of Loki's ending and how he's fulfilling his glorious purpose?
Thank you guys for watching! We hope you enjoy.
I think and I did think about it a lot this may go in my list of best end episodes I've ever seen. Obviously we could talk all day about the production quality for starters. Going in I had good expectations but not sky high. I figured the last season end was probably the zenith and the record store scene in the previous episode the best thing we'd see. Happy they proved me wrong. Start to finish this episode was great! It was beautiful and made me cry. And oh man the soundtrack for it. I read there is consideration to even give this a limited theatrical release because the reception of it, rightly, was so high. So glad to finally see your reaction. I have been checking and waiting for it.
As far as future forecasting, no pun intended. I briefly read something from Hiddleston is this was the closure point for Loki's character development and masterfully done at that. I'm otherwise very reserved about talking about it as a comic reader growing up. I have read Kang Dynasty/War and Secret Wars in addition to the more recent Time Runs Out/Secret Wars and I know there is a basis here going forward and am seeing where they are placing set-ups for the upcoming bookend films. Quantumania for example has a big part of that Kang Dynasty story right out in the open. And that is I'm really going to say on this. You have the roadmap in the source material or not and otherwise it's a thing where I do not enjoy spoiling even before the fact. But I can see where they are steering all this. Kang Dynasty, Secret Wars (hodgepodge), soft company reboot. And then sales along the way will determine any specific changes of course as they have already.
What mics and main camera do y’all use?
He is a true god, he just have all existence in his hands now. Sad, but glorious.
"He Who Remains" killed Loki to take the throne and then create the one timeline. So we are now back to just before the Multiverse Wars that he had spoken of started. The timeline is one giant loop.
Best reaction, nice to see an intelligent and articulate pair on TH-cam - capable of critical thinking. Those are rare qualities on the internet. Will look out for future reactions.
Loki's sacrifice is up there with Tony Stark's sacrifice in "Endgame". Both of them were told that they weren't the heroes -- and it turned out that they BOTH were the heroes. It's amazing that they both ended up on the same journey -- sacrificing themselves to save their friends, their family and countless others -- but on different paths. Which, to me, makes that moment where Tony recognizes Loki is "a full tilt diva", like him, supremely ironic. Also, Moebius' line about "Loki, King of Space" is the ultimate call back.😂
Absolutely agree! So glad they gave Loki such a great moment. The sacrifice had full weight to it and we can't wait to see the implications down the line. It's up to the TVA and the Avengers now!
YES!!! We love our full tilt divas of the MCU!
@@jamesmorales4735Pretty sure that ending up at the end of time, with no one else and being "nowhere", counts as a fate worse than death. Tony can rest (like Pepper said); but Loki is responsible for keeping an infinite amount of universes alive. There is no rest for him.
Tony was the one who told Loki: “there is no throne, there’s no version of this where u come out on top!”
“Its all on you”
@@kenyabrunson4985true
Loki finally claims his throne not to rule, but to serve!
He claimed his throne when it was the last thing he wanted. Absolutely selfless!
I hope y'all are feeling better. I cried during the final scenes. Loki's character and redemption arc is the best in the MCU. He became the hero we all knew he could be. Tom Hiddleston deserves so much praise for his performance of Loki. Loki is such a complicated character and Hiddleston portrayed him flawlessly. I'm so sad that this is over but what a fantastic ending for such a beloved character!
They stuck the landing! His character will forever be a fan favorite. What a way to send him off! (for now)
Yes the finale was brilliant and incredibly moving it shows what Marvel can do with a villainous character , how they develop
And redeem him , so to all the Marvel haters out there they do get it right ✅ the show as a whole in my opinion is easily the best of the MCU shows and Tom is fantastic as Loki in fact the whole cast gave it their all in terms of performances 👌 I can't think of a bad or weak performance and Natalie Holt created a amazing and memorable score too 😀
I know one of my first thoughts was, 'look, he's the person his mother always saw he was.'
I was already crying and then I got myself sobbin like a baby lol
This was Loki's purpose all along. Except when Loki screamed that he wanted to rule them all, he wasn't ready for the throne. When Loki shouted that he wanted to save them all, he wasn't ready to become the saviour. Only when Loki admitted that all he wants are his friends, was he ready to shoulder an eternity of solitude.
It’s so sad that after revealing he fears being lonely he ends up alone at the end of time…
This was incredible. And well written enough to be believable. We saw Loki go from the wounded selfish child, to this selfless person who could truly love his friends without anything in it for him. He became a god who loves selflessly, and out of love sacrificed himself. This was epic myth. Loved the callback to Thor. “For you. For all of us”
Loki's arc has to be one of our favorites in the MCU. What a way to make us care so much for a character. He did a lot of the hard work and now he's the hero the multiverse was in desperate need of.
this is by far the greatest Marvel television I have experienced . just amaizing😍😍
We definitely agree! The writing, the score and the effects were all top notch! Both seasons of Loki are one of our favorite marvel projects period!
Hell nah! Loki is not better than Daredevil, Agents of Shield, and Legion. Is it the best MCU tv show by far? Sure, but it’s not better than DD, Agents of Shield, and Legion.
Comparing both first two seasons, DD S1 is a 10/10, and S2 like a 8.5/10 (the weakest of the show) S3 is another 10/10, but comparing only the first two season, Loki S1 is like a 8/10, and S2 a 9/10, so DD is better than Loki even if we only use the first two seasons. DD has better writing, acting performances, dialogue, antagonist, cinematography, etc.
Now, comparing Agents of Shield first two seasons against Loki then Loki is better, but Agents of shield then gets better and better, and it has too much content vs Loki only two seasons, so overalls as a show AOS is better.
And Legion first two season are slightly better than Loki so.
Top five Marvel shows:
1. DD (9.5/10)
2. AOS (9/10)
3. Legion (9/10)
4. Loki (8.5/10)
5. The Punisher (8.5/10)
@@reynaldolorenzo8409off by a long shot, this is 14 years of character development and both finales of Loki had bigger implications than any marvel movie.
@@Viper72 The Loki finale didn't have any implications until Loki S2, two years later. And it doesn't matter because, like I said, the other shows I mentioned have better writing, acting, scenes, cinematography, antagonists, etc. Loki is amazing; it's the best MCU show, but it's not the best Marvel show; those I mentioned are better. Look at the ratings from critics; there's a reason why they have a better rating; the other shows are definitely better😉
@@reynaldolorenzo8409 uhm???? Hello? Loki S1 finale literally set up Spider-Man No Way Home and Doctor Strange Multiverse of Madness.. without Loki s1 finale with Sylvie killing HWR… neither of those two movies would have happened.
Odin would be proud of his son! 😊💘💔😢😭
He really would be 😭😭😭❤️❤️❤️
How much did Odin foresee? He said both boys were born to be king, but only one would ascend to the throne. That line has a different meaning now.
@@CrankyGrandma I think it depends on if he can see past his own death during Ragnarok or not. I think he was also talking specifically about the throne of Asgard.
I did see interesting fan theory that Mobius is a Odin variant :) He has two sons. One thats a troublemaker and rides a green bike. The other is the upstanding one and rides a red bike ;)
Odin is a b..th , he never cared for Loki
@@michaelriddick7116I think they definitely did that on purpose, not because mobius is a variant of Odin, but because he is meant to represent a kinda father figure/friend to Loki Odin never was and at the end of the show we see he has finally fully separated himself from Odin by going back to his family and making sure they are ok
Loki’s new realization:
With great power comes great responsibility.
Thank you Stan.
Man.... when Loki was pulling up with the OG drip, the series was solidified as the GOAT in the MCU
Right?! Seeing him with his crown, ascending to his throne and fulfilling his glorious but burdened purpose was just amazing!
Lokis tears then during that last scene were real the actors had all had their emotional goodbyes shortly before filming and when he then came to film his emotions were genuine as he wouldnt be playing loki again.
I think Loki will be making a return at some point, just not in the same way people expect. That’s what I hope anyway. Best character arc in marvel without a doubt
25:52 when B-15 asked Mobius if he was scared... The way the shot was framed he looks half her size. Like a scared child. Just great shot composition to give us the answer before he speaks
Im super satisfied with Loki's. I wanna share some of my knowledge on this too!
1) Loki in the comics transformed from "God of mischief" to "God of stories at one point.
2) When Loki time slipped, you can see that before he would slip his physical form to a different time where he was able to see himself in the past/future. But he trained himself that he slips ONLY his consciousness to his past/future self.
3) Yes it is infact Yygdrasil, the tree of life.
4) This Opens up A HUGE AMOUNT of multiversal possibilities/ Example, now its a huge possibility that Tony stark is alive and well somewhere in a different timeline. The Xmen can maybe enter MCU through this. And many MANY more.
5) Loki S3 might be cool but this is a good ending for Loki series. But he now will be playing a BIG role in Avengers Kang Dynasty and Avengers Secret Wars. He IS now the pinnacle being of the entire multiverse saga
Im so happy and satisfied that MCU after so many L's gave us this masterpiece. This proves that its the writing thats the issue here. Not the characters, not the VFX, not anything. Just how they write the characters. But we have to keep in mind, Loki's character was developed for 14 freaking years throughout MCU and ms marvel, Photon, She hulk and others were not given enough time to be developed. I really want Marvel and Disney to take their time and write good stories. Even if the movies are delayed. Id rather wait than see an unfinished pile of crap.
You have found your Glorious Purpose. Long live God of stories - Loki
Here, Here 👏
Absolutely agreed on all counts here!!
The way they've managed to organically grow Loki as a person and as a god was incredible and the MCU we know and love! We cannot wait to see more of him and how he's going to play his part in the future of the MCU!
I don’t think he’s to god of stories. He was going that way in episode 5. But he gave that up. The god of stories rewrote stories. Loki is allowing the stories to write themselves. He’s not interfering. He’s the custodian (Atlez in the comics) not the god of stories.
@CrankyGrandma he is God of Stories. It's been confirmed by the writers and actors. It was on the whiteboard at the beginning of writing the season. They knew what they were doing from the start. But you're not wrong in that it's God of Stories mixed with Atlez.
It's not from comic, he is not the God of Stories
The first time I have seen the finale I thought Loki has become a God of All Time. But actually Time... Is only exists in one timeline. So after I have heard he has actually become the God of Stories - yes, that's what fits. Beautiful and poetic. Every universe have its own stories, and the Loki is in the heart of all of them, sacrificing his own wish to not be alone just to carry on with the Glorious Purpose / Burden - so great.
Thank you guys for this reaction.
I hope the Watcher comes to talk to Loki cause he's so lonely right now 😭
The score to this show sent me on a trip, along with Lokis character arch! This might be the best thing marvel has done since endgame
been checking your page since the finale dropped, my loki experience is never complete without you guys 😆💖
Haha awww this comment made our day!! We are so thankful that you were so patient with us and joined us on this epic season finale! Hope you enjoy our video!
20:00 I don't believe he's tanking damage, he's tanking time - asguardians IIRC get more powerful as they age, so it makes sense he was suddenly able to do everything he did.
Its been a week and still can't get over that finale! Soo damn good from start to finish! Btw im glad yall are feeling better 🫶
Wow did they do Loki right! Hes such an amazing yet tragic character. What hits me hard is that now that his family would be proud of the God he became, they will never really know. And that Yggdrasil revelation! Also your Loki time stone/Wanda Reality stone theory might be right. No spoilers but theres more additive to this theory on another recent movie.
Yeeesss!!! This was such a satisfying conclusion! We have always loved Loki but seeing how much he has grown, and the sacrifice he was willing to make just broke our hearts. We NEED a reunion with the fam now!!
Also ooohhhh, we got some catching up to do then haha we want some spoiler talks!
Yes, he gave up his companionship, but what he gained was the love and gratitude of people who know what he sacrificed for them. Even better, he can see it. All the love he ever wanted, he is practically drowning in now.
another great video! loki being the god of stories is awesome!
Thank youuu!! Loki is so OP now and it was soo satisfying to see him as the God of Stories!
What a breathtaking finale!
The episode's climax -- where Loki is shown selflessly dragging timelines up some steps to sit on his throne -- was such a profoundly moving experience that I found myself tearing up for him, for his sacrifice. 😢
Loki is the linchpin that begins Ragnarok in mythology. Loki and Sylvie’s actions do so here causing the destruction of everything. But everyone always leaves out *what* Ragnorok is for. The destruction of everything is just to make way for new creation - the beginning of everything.
Ragnorok can basically be summed up by the two halves of what Sylvie and Loki say in their conversation “sometimes it’s ok to destroy something” - “if there’s a hope that you can replace that thing with something better.”
Glad you guys are feeling better. I was worried something was going on. Stay safe!
Like Mobius said we need a Loki Who Remains and that is exactly what we got. Someone with way more mercy than HWR. Saving countless of lives by the minute. It’s been a rough couple of days but we’re getting better! Thank you for watching this with us ❤️
So...the deal with Loki being "alone" for eternity at the End of Time...yes and no...
Sylvie's TemPad can let her go there. So, she can visit him pretty easily. There are also other ways to get there, and O.B. can always rig new TemPads to do what Sylvie's does. So, it's really not a big deal for others to go visit him now and then.
Additionally, it's highly probable that Loki can "possess" his variants in those other timelines without "leaving" his throne at the End of Time. He's pumping his own magic through every timeline, so it's entirely reasonable to conclude he's automatically connected to all of his own variants. He's also got all the time he needs to figure out Enchantment if it's actually necessary, or learn it from Sylvie. And since he's at the End of Time...if he EVER learns it at all, then he'll have ALWAYS known it in that "place."
So, while I'm sure they'll play up the "noble sacrifice" angle of it and not do any of that on-screen ever, the fact is that it's completely reasonable fan head-canon to assume that Loki can still indirectly visit, and be visited by, his friends and family. He is, after all, everywhere, and everywhen, at all times. He's omnipresent, and pretty much omniscient and omnipotent. A True God.
There are still some limits to his powers and knowledge, but really the ONLY being in all of Marvel that compares to him favorably, is One-Above-All (Marvel's version of God god).
Everyone else...anybody with all of the Infinity Stones (even Ultron with them), the Watchers from What If, the Celestials from the Eternals movie...all of them are lesser than Loki now in terms of capabilities.
Are you a god for yourself. "Yes" Scaled down Are you a god for others? "Yes" scaled up. Loki broke the scale with the walk to the end of time, holding all the forgotten timelines, gathering them, nurturing them, giving them all a chance, till he sat on a throne he never wanted, and knew he'd never leave, to give, everyone that one fucking fighting chance, a moment in their own time, all flowing through him. That's some soldier shit. Damn you trickster, you soldiered up in the end.
Wow, Google suggested this channel after I fell in love with Loki's ending (almost noped out partway thru the season) but watching your reactions, esp. near the end of the episode was awesome - and knowing the name of the Tree of Life earned you one subscriber :) Peace...
Glad you stuck around! The story was well worth it. Thank you for watching these with us. It’s been such an amazing journey ❤️
What a glorious end to a glorious season (and maybe series?)!
I LOVE this show so much.
Long live the God of Mischief.
#LokiSeason2 #GloriousPurpose
Good points in your summary. Lokis journey has been a complex story. Scaling up is right to infinity!
Imagine! If Loki is constantly scaling up his own power to contain the multiverse how freaking powerful will he be by the time we get to secret wars!? Thank you for watching this with us. It truly means a lot!
As someone who believes in Norse mythology and religion.. This made me cry softly the entire time.
Most purpose is more burden than glory. What an amazing line.
You guys caught on WAY faster than any of the rest of us to what Loki was doing. Nice work!
Loki literally saved all of existence. Amazing.
you guys are some of my favorite reactors that don't use captions! THANK YOU pls never change!
Behold, Loki the God of Stories who is burdened with glorious purpose.
He foreshadowed his own destiny and it just broke our hearts that this was it... Incredible, but also so lonely!
@@OfficialMediaKnightsThe foreshadowing in this show is done so well. The ending reminded me of what Sif kept saying to Loki when he was stuck in the time loop memory prison in S1. "You are alone. And you always will be."
The line loki used before going out to the loom were his own. He chose them as a throw back to the first thor when he tells odin I could of been great for all of us. His producers asked him to think of something to say before the doors opened. Mobius and Sylvie didn't know what he would say until in the moment making their reaction truly authentic
Doctor Strange: I looked at 14,000,605 alternate timelines using the Time Stone.
Loki: Bitch, please. I'm the one who SHOWED you those timelines through the Time Stone.
Haha 😂
I really enjoyed this series. It gave Loki so much depth from the 2-D Comic Book Villain we've seen up to this point. Season 1, Episode 5 is probably my favorite.
The only thing I wish we'd seen before the finale of S2-E6, would be Loki tracking down Thor to see his Brother one last time. Have a whole moment where Thor is both happy and pissed to see him alive. After Loki hugs Thor to shut him up, Thor pushes him back...
Thor: "I knew you faked your death with Thanos!"
Loki: "I didnt... Thanos killed... me. The Real Me. I'm a Variant."
Thor in confusion: "A what?"
Then Loki explains how he's alive and The Real Loki isn't. A little explanation on the TVA and how there is a universe ending event about to happen. Thor of course asks if he needs help. Loki clasps him on the shoulder and says, "no... you've already helped me." He then leaves to finish things.
I would have loved to see that. Maybe even Loki timeslipping to speak to his father and mother before taking the "Throne".
The parallels between Loki and Atlas is super interesting. Atlas holding up the heavens, and Loki holding the multiverse together.
When Odin passed on, he gave Loki a good portion of the odin force. He always knew who Loki would become.
Loki becomes the god of stories, capable of creating an avatar in each realm just like he who remains.
The ending was brilliant perfect and it doesnt only cover Loki but encompass the MCU.
Think about it Loki turned the loom into Ygdrassil in the TVA for all time. So it has become reality For All Time
Time Travel
Meaning when young Odin studied the Multiverse and teaches it to child Thor and Loki. Odin is teaching them about what Adult Loki created.
The entire MCU exists in Ygdrassil branches meaning the MCU happens as Loki wills it. All of his failures his tragedies and sacrifices, everything that happened in the MCU was allowed by Loki in order to get him where he is now
The fact that loki was meant to be killed off early on in the mcu but this is where we end up with his character is simply amazing.
Would of never thought he would have a character arc like this.
Its also heartbreaking that he never wanted to be alone and yet his sacrifice to save everyone means he will be alone forever 😢 i love loki
I'm sure Kang know that finale decision of Loki, cause said in season 1 "I'm tired. It's a burden" and say metaforic that Loki sjould take his place
I don't normally evil laugh out loud, but, "Please, no. I cannot watch that again. Absolutely not", did the trick. Great vid.
Oh, i wish Thor, Frigga, and Odin were here to see this. Loki's family would be more than proud, they would be marveled to see the god, he has become.
As a dyslexic the word “yygdrasil” gives me a stroke
It's a tough word as it is!
What many forget is that Loki never had the opportunity to grow. He was alone on Asgard, and even though he had his family, he didn't have a connection with them or anyone. He just existed.
Mobius is probably the first person that ever knew him, and took him on verbally and was, in turn, willing to listen.
To have that for the first time in your life would change anyone.
The fields of Valhalla would be honoured to have LOKI in it one day while Thor and Odin welcome the king of the fukin time, a rightful son and a loving brother into their arms.
The main thing I want is a Thor/Loki reunion so Thor can finally see the Loki that he always hoped was in there, and at some point, perhaps when Thor is in trouble, Loki picks up Mjollnir.
I like how Loki went from being an unworthy murderer obsessed with the throne, to someone not interested in ruling but would actually be a far better king than Thor. Outside of Odin, I would consider this version of Loki to be the best ruler for Asgard. He has humility, patience, and insane willpower - all things Thor lacks. Thor never would have solved this problem as he literally lacks the intelligence to even learn centuries worth of physics, let alone know how to use the info to fix anything.
Loki is above celestials, every dr doom, kang or thanos, he is ultra being. Love to see him develop like that
Well finally it will be fun!!! And take care of yourselves health comes first. Get well soon😄
Thank you, that's so kind of you!! We hope you enjoy our reaction and thank you for your patience and support!
It's so nice, man, when people pick up on everything.
Loki did not re-create Yggdrasil - the branches flow infinitely forward and backward in time. That means he was ALWAYS the source of Yggdrasil.
Something I haven’t seen anyone say is that Loki is the tree that Thor talks about in his first movie meaning that Loki has always been the tree and holding onto all time lines. We only watched how it happened and once Loki destroyed the timeline, the tree always existed.
Do you folks notice that "Let time pass" actually echoed all the way into the last scene where Loki sits? I think Mobius said "Let time pass" because only that way Loki can see him, i.e. on a timeline. And Loki heard that and smiled (maybe I should say "hears" and "smiles" because there is no time or past or present there 😂)
that's what I've been thinking of, too. And yet, almost no one from the reactions I've watched so far, mentions or notices it. Or, maybe, they do notice, but just don't speak about it. I believe Loki was watching Mobius & hearing him. And, dammit, man, when you look at Mobius there, your chest aches 'cause you feel Mobius misses Loki.
Loki done became a god, for others not for himself.
This has been the best from mcu for me, I think the kid mobius was supposed to prune but couldn't was kid loki at the end of time. I also feel the gold appearing in his throne was almost like odin was giving him his approval
Actually, almost every 60 second of time travel loki said, omg look Loki learning, but I get your point, Red Lady.
After this banger, if not already you may want to check another one, this time in animation, the last Netflix prod, Blue Eye Samourai! 💪
Great reaction as always .
This was an amazing episode and such a fantastic season / series finale , the amount of character development and growth that Loki goes through in this show is so so great . I knew from Season 1 that Loki was my favourite Disney + MCU show and season 2 has just cemented that for me , I would honestly say that Season 2 in my opinion was better and I really thought they would struggle to better season 1 - how wrong was I .
The introduction of the new characters OB , Victor Timely was outstanding , Ke as OB was great his energy he brought was so refreshing and he was so funny , Jonathan shone as Victor ( Current problems not withstanding - going to wait for the trial before I make up my mind ) all the returning characters were just as great Mobius , B15 , Renslayer , Casey and of course Sylvie but so much praise has to go to Tom who just inhabits the character of Loki so well how far he has come from the first Avengers movie , Loki is now up there as one of my favourite characters and the ending is just so bittersweet Loki now truly is the God of stories . Also I must mention the fantastic Natalie Holt who scored both seasons , Natalie does a great job in both seasons and the music in the final moments of this episode is tremendous .
The visuals in this season were terrific they VFX department really outdid themselves what with Victor spaghettifying , Loki time slipping and the Timelines and variants disintegrating it looked really great , beautiful and trippy .
I really don't think we have seen the last of Loki I think he will be back in Avengers Kang Dynasty or Secret Wars as he plays such a pivotal role in the Multiverse now .
So to conclude a fantastic season finale to what has been an amazing show a real highlight for the MCU .
They really killed it with this season! And the fact that we can binge season 1 and 2 now will make the experience even better. The writing, performances, cinematography, vfx, editing and score of this show was exactly what we all needed. The entire team crafted this with care and honestly I would not mind at all if this is the team that takes over writing Kang Dynasty and Secret Wars
him sitting alone in his throne is just so sad man his glorious BURDEN purpose
Loki became the God of stories
The stage is set…The Kangs will spawn, And thus the Dynasty will begin…the Secret Wars will wage on and only time will tell us who wins…
I LOVED THIS!!! Since May of 2012 Loki has been my favorite MCU character and this was so beautifully bittersweet and tragically perfect. That’s the way a Loki story should be, that’s the way Loki’s story has always been.
The call back line to the first Thor, “for you, for all of us.” 💔😭💔
Hiddleston has no right being so damn good.
When I first watched this episode I kept thinking about what Peggy told Steve in CA:TWS
“The world has changed, and none of us can go back. All we can do is our best, and sometimes the best that we can do is to start over.”
The Multiverse Saga will be the final chapter for the last 20 plus year of Marvel movies & television. I can’t wait to see the new United MCU and all the characters that will rise from the ashes!
Happy you guys are feeling better, this was a nice surprise. You guys always bring the positive vibes!
Hate to tell you, but Kang might not happen. Looks more and more like Marvel are stepping away from Jonathon Majors, whether they recast him or replace the main villain I dunno.
Everything is set up! Loki did his sacrifice to allow the TVA and the rest of the MCU heroes to step in and clean up the Kang variants that might start some trouble. Can’t wait to see the culmination of this saga! Thank you for watching and for the patience. We truly appreciate it 😄
God of Stories Loki is what this was. 🎉
Loki broke his own timeloop 😊
I'm almost 60 uyears old and I say again, best fucking series finale ever.
It really was. Every aspect of it was just perfect.
i LOVE the God of Stories.... so awesome
🎵 Even Loki had a montage 🎵
"Glorious Purpose" went from a narcissistic poster quote...to being "careful what you wish for...you just might get it."
Really some Monkey's Paw shit right there. Except instead of some nefarious agent or device corrupting a wish...it's Loki slowly realizing that he never wanted that wish, but being forced to make it in the end anyway...for the sake of his real wish. For the lives and happiness of the people he loves, and everyone they love and who also loves them.
Just like the branches of time, the connections people have are endless. You love someone, who loves someone, who loves someone, who loves someone...and on and on it goes. If you really love someone, and you really care about their well-being, then you're forced to consider all those others connected to them, no matter how indirectly. You can't just pick and choose as you please.
I know what I want and I know what kind of god I need to be. For you. For all of us.
One of mcu best character arc🔥🙏🏻
They did such a great job with the writing. Loki has always been a fan favorite but with this show he got some incredible character development that showed us just how complex he is. We need that Thor-Loki reunion now more than ever!
@@OfficialMediaKnightsYa need this version of Loki to meet Thor in future movies like Secret wars
Möbius’s story ab the 8 year old variant reminds me of doc strange “in the grand scale of the multiverse your sacrifice….” Doc strange understands making the hard choice
Doc strange & dormamu for sure great comparison & Loki can time slip & where did it lead? Straight back to he who remains, like thanos “you couldn’t deal with your failure, blah blah & where did it lead? Straight back to me” typa thing
That's why he's the goat
He has always been there he's the God Of Time and Multiverses. Thats why Time Stone is Green. Cause HES ALWAYS BEEN AT THE END OF TIME 😢
Well......... He did say in Avengers he was "burden with glorious purpose".
i swear i was patiently waiting for this soooo long... 😂
hope you both are good and healthy, and honestly i like little late reaction episode it helps certain shows extend it's trend scale little longer.
speak of episode,
My man Loki went above and beyond. for me personally he went above steve and tony's sacrifices.
it's one thing to give your life for someone and it's whole another things when you live your entirety of life just so you could let your friends live on.
Loki gave up his freedom, friends and freewill just so his friends and others can have freedom, friends and freewill.
9:50 i was so waiting to see you guys reaction to this point... jumping back to season 1 finale.
11:45 every time Kang said "see you soon" he wasn't talking to sylvie he was telling Loki. that boggles my mind...
my theory: it was all Kang's plan to replace loom with Loki.
14:22 here Loki takes a look at the equation written on board. remember he lived far longer than Kang so he knows how to change that equation now since for centuries he been studying quantum physics.
kang needs his tempad to pause time while loki can do that without any accessory your tool.
kang knew he has knowledge but not power and he also knew that the only best option for multiverse to have proper order is to give it to someone who has both knowledge and power.
there is no season 3 (i am glad for that) the producer and writer said it was 2 chapters for 2 season. i am happy taking that home..
Thank you so much! We are slowly getting there! This episode had so many incredible moments. As we had suspected and I believe many of us had, it was all by design. We agree with what you say. HWR wanted Loki from the start. When he offered the position I guess he was hoping that Loki would take the throne because...c'mon...It's Loki. Loved the amount of development they gave the character. He now takes the thrown but for selfish reasons but the complete opposite. At the end of the day HWR is trying to avoid the war across the multiverse. With the way he was doing things all the timelines lost free will. Now with Loki not only can the timelines exist but everyone in them have a fighting chance against whichever variant of Kang they get. 2 for 2 with these seasons! it's been such a blast!
@@OfficialMediaKnightsi came back to watch the reaction again, now knowing that deadpool & wolverine also has TVA element. i am curious if we would see tom hiddleston. there is a chance and they might keep it very very tight secret like spider-man no way home.
at this point i want Olike to appear in tiny bits in most coming movies of multiverse related, just like how anakin has his appearance in recent star wars shows.
i have a strong feeling lokie is in deadpool & wolverine.
Well, some folks don't even like the word solution, because solution comes with final most times.
Just seeing some comments here and have to state this as i see some argue hes not God of Stories.
Yes, he is now God of Stories as he becomes in the comics. Its been confirmed by the writers and actors on the series. Yes, there is another character named Atlez that is similar. Its kinda a mix of both in reality. But he is God of Stories now.
@The Media Knights,
3:55 I think the best thing about this is that it WASN'T a waste of time. It allowed Loki to spend centuries with the people he cared about most, his friends. Even though it was the same moment numerous times, each time was different.
4:30 lol -> 2:35 -> 6:07, lol! Loki really, doesn't want to deal with this mishap again. How many times did they get this close?
9:48 THIS IS SYLVIE'S NEXUS EVENT! I'd also go so far as to say that it is also her Canon Event, Sylvie must do this, and there is no stopping her, as it is her destiny to kill HWR and end all of time. This is why she was pruned as a little girl! Sylvie jeopardized the TVA's entire purpose.
10:04 More than millions! I timeline is an entire universe, how many living beings exist in a single universe? What Sylvie did, will result in the destruction of all universes in the Multiverse and the numerous other Branched Timelines, all of which are variants of the same universe so equal numbers of all life in all universe. Yikes!
This means nothing to Sylvie, as she was never really allowed to live, and she wants to live.
11:01 I love the reminder that HWR is just human, and I think it was made to show that he and all that he built is the pinnacle of human achievement. I still don't think HWR is the bad guy the Internet thinks he is. He's done too much to protect time the best way he knew how. His loom is the only thing keeping time together and he's only able to do that by pruning branched Timelines, since Branched Timelines overload the system and kill everyone, well I guess it's not really the branches, but what his system is holding back, him! HWR erased his variants and removed himself from time. This was the only way to keep himself from bring un unwinnable war back and repeating the chaos from before over and over again.
11:17 She can't help it. When destiny calls, you answer.
12:12 Last week's episode started off with HWR talking about him paving the road Loki and Sylvie were on, so his involvement in what was going on was hinted then, though most of likely assumed that was was the case given that Ravonna nd Miss Minutes were carrying out his mission even after his death. It certainly wasn't a coincidence that Victor just happened to have the very thing that the TVA needed for the loom. Sure, it didn't work, but wasn't that the point? It brought Loki back to this moment, which is where HWR wanted Loki to be. Still, HWR chose Loki, a god, why? He gave Loki new powers, but did he really want Loki to do what he ends up doing or did Loki do something he didn't foresee? Is it possible that the guy who plans 50 moves ahead, didn't see Loki making the choice he inevitably makes or did he want Loki to do what he does? Only Loki could do what happens at the end, as the loom was the best HWR could do.
14:02 Here's that reminder that Quantumania took place during this, though we should have realized that three episodes ago given that Victor Timely debuted there first. Black Widow aside, MCU projects have released sequentially.
14:42 I don't think he's lying here. He did the best he could in the best way he knew how. Yes, he erased branched timelines, but those people didn't actually die--we learned just a couple of stories ago that the branches that Dox's team erased, grew back! Branched Timelines are like body hair, you can shave them down but they grow back. We watched Victor die over and over again, and yet he came back--this entire story is a repeating cycle, like the branches. People don't die, they're just reset--season one actually told us this too during Loki's first mission as an agent when they said that they needed to reset the Timeline before the branch redlined. HWR saved all of time by clipping the branches and policing time. He staffed his police force with variants from Branched Timelines, so he didn't erase those people.
15:37 This discussion is very important, as it tells us what Mobius and Ravonna did before their current jobs. They did Minority Report type pruning; they pruned people before their crimes. That's why Ravonna went for Sylvie! She wanted to stop her future Nexus Event, but there was no stopping that, as Sylvie was always going to do it.
17:12 The God of Stories rewrote the story. That never happened, so he erased it. Loki wants his friends the way they were, not the way they are in the moments he's interacting with them in the past.
18:52 Surely that wasn't a coincidence, Loki's return and the computer welcoming HWR.
21:46 Loki pulled back the vail to reveal the where the man behind the curtain stayed, just on the other side of the loom--he did gesture behind his chair when talking to Loki about the Sacred Timeline, so it makes since that it would have been there.
24:05 Loki took the original roots of time and the branches and built a tree! This was epic! It was nice to see the return of the Tree of Life in the MCU, the last time we saw it was when Hela burned it down in Ragnarok. This Loki wasn't here for that, and in a way this was his Ragnorok. He destroyed the old world and introduced something new. And He's been rewriting parts of stories since the end of last episode and he's about to pick up steam:
1) The TVA was built by HWR, but the new TVA is all Loki's doing.
2) OB got to write the updated second edition with the TVA's new mission statement, and you had better believe that everyone read it this time, lol.
3) If you look closely in the War Room you'll see D90! Brad pruned him and he should have been in the void with Ravonna, but he didn't go there because Loki put him back at the TVA. Brad wasn't in the void either. Brad never had a choice, he wanted to live on the Timeline, but was forced to work at the TVA, something tells me Loki sent him home. Casey is more than a receptionist at the TVA, he's part of the War Room Council now, along with B15 and judge Gamble.
4) Loki returned Victor to the point his life was changed forever, and let him live out his days unaffected by events.
5) Mobius' story isn't quite the same story we saw just an episode ago. Mobius and his boys are bonding in a way we didn't get to see, and not a broken family. Mobius' wife is still gone, and if you look at the garage you'll see just one personal watercraft instead of two. Looks like Loki helped Mobius get over his wife, so that he and his boys could move forward. Mobius has the life he was afraid to learn that he had had, "something good." Now he has to choose, choose to experience this life or choose to fight and protect it. Whichever he chooses, Loki will support it.
6) Sylvie of course gets to do whatever she wants. She gets to live. I wonder if she'll ever meet Thor?
With Loki's new powers, do you think he'll write the wrongs he did? Namely bring Phil Coulson back and keep his mother from dying?
Those two changes would be massive changes to the MCU. If Coulson lived, Secret Invasion likely would have been a very different story. Maria, Soren and Talos likely wouldn't have died.
If Frigga didn't die, Odin wouldn't have died of a broken heart. With Odin alive, Hela wouldn't have returned and caused Ragnorok. If Ragnorok didn't happen, Hemidall would have seen Thanos making his move, and Odin would have been right there to stop Thanos before he even got his first stone, with his army and the Odin Force. If Thanos never got the Infinity Stones, Gamora, Vision, Natasha and Tony wouldn't have died. Steve wouldn't have been able to go back in time to live with Peggy either. Those are some massive changes. Will the MCU pull that trigger?
What an epic end to a great character if this truly is his end. I hope not, but I'd respect it if it is. I hope that he and Thor can meet at some point, as that is closure that I think needs to happen at some point. I hope Thor can get a moment like this, but this will be very hard to top. Frigga would be so proud of her son, Odin too.
"Are they going to make us watch him get spaghettified again?!"
😬
The time-slipping / control of time is definitely what made him immune, he would have died otherwise.
But it still had an effect on him, while he was out there he aged as you saw, until he destroyed the loom.
That's truee!!! It's so amazing that they brought this element to Loki, and combined with the profound change in who he has become, this was an utterly stunning episode!
i just thought it was because he’s a god
@@penguin50279 then he would have said "no I'll go" to Timely. But the radiation would have otherwise killed any of them, besides Lokis are just aliens with magic that call themselves Gods.
@theAstarrr asgardians are far more durable than humans like victor. I think loki would have lasted considerably longer than victor regardless of the time slipping.
Loki could do this only because he's asguardian, he can live thousands of years. It's also a little reference to Thanos vs Thor in an animated show where Thor becomes more powerful as Thanos makes him age.
Most epic ending ever❤❤😊😊
Thats reaction.. Most youtubers just do discussion /conversation n named their vid as reaction..failed. But u guys do the reaction..u feel the music..the cinematic..
Loki has become the most powerful God in multiverse who has the power of time. And Morbius will be seen soon in Deadpool 3 which come in July 2024
Loki became God.
I also missed him before the episode even ended…
So, i decided to watch this react first before watching the prior episodes. I then went to playlists to play these eps back to back but i couldn't find a playlist! Could you make one please? ❤️ Btw, love you guys!
The God of Stories
Long live the God of Stories
TVA fucked around found out Sylvie was a Loki and in the end, the attempted murder of a child changed the universe with another Variant, taking on a burden for us all.
Well, should we have killed the child?
Can I please recommend a movie for you 2? I watched "Extraction 2" yesterday with Chris Hemsworth. What a movie. I believe there is a TWENTY MINUTE LONG scene without cuts (of course with hidden cuts). That is insane to me. I'm mad at myself for seeing the first one first and I'll somewhat rectify that tonight. But for a couple like you 2 noticing all the camerawork, lighting, acting etc... I would love to hear your commentary!
Except, he's the original Loki. He became a variant when he took the opportunity to grab the stone. Its a elsewhere variant Thanos killed. Its why he and Thor can reunite as the studio is proposing.
Now you know why the time stone is green.
32:30 dunno if you guys watching "WHAT IF" season but based on what we know... Loki is yes scaled up in terms of power above THE WATCHER.... who was watching all the multiverse.
Loki will be connected with deadpool here we go.
Two characters I feel Tom Hiddleston could easily play: James Bond or Doctor Who. Of course, the producers of the Bond franchise have stated they feel he's too smug and not tough enough for the role. And in terms of Doctor Who, he wasn't even on the list of candidates. Since both franchises have been in decline recently, I'll be interested to see how they do when they are recast.
nothing is rushed loki perfected the only route possible... timely does feel like its rushed because for him it's always that one same day for loki its hundreds of years later
i wish he meet his brother again! i just wanted to see him and Thor together again! so sad!😢
