You went on a nougat quest last year? Did you go beyond the limits of Alexander's empire in the East? It's just four ingredients. This one is the first one I fell on. Perhaps you next try a peanut butter quest. Oh snap!
I really like this recipe because of the baking part at the end. It’s a much quicker way to achieve hard nougat than all the stirring you need to do the old fashioned way. I agree, the taste is sensational, it’s quite unlike anything else. If you add nuts it’s Turron, but if you add nut butter it’s Halva. It’s all the same ancient Persian roots. Respect!
I love seeing ena fans and people being confused by them And the ena fans are confused themselves, even, this isn't the right kind of turron lol. (The right kind is the turron de doña pepa, it's from peru were Joel is also from!)
I always thought this delectable treat was "way too hard" to even try. Now I have made it and I am SO HAPPY. Thank you for demystifying it into an easy recipe. From New Zealand, 2023.
En Diciembre siempre compramos turrón y este es mi preferido. Hacerlo en casa sería mucho mejor, muchas gracias por la receta, se ve tan delicioso. Me encantó.👍👍👍
Wow! Looks amazing. Only four ingredients... The process is extremely tedious but you make it easier by stating exactly the time for each part. Wonderful video like always. Thank you for sharing your expertise and culture.
Wow, I love this recipe! It's pretty similar to italian torrone, but there's honey caramel sauce in this...you never go wrong with caramel!! Really amazing, thanks for sharing my friend!
You cook with so much love and passion my friend! These almond nougat looks amazing I am actually getting the flavors through the video! Season greeting my friend!
Great to see you make a real Spanish treat. I love the taste of almond and honey, so this Spanish Almond Nougat must be very delicious. Awesome recipe 👍 Hasta luego!
First video to make turron de alicante and thanks to you. I can learn to make it. Oh my good ness it is so delicious. Now I would love it if you show us how to make the soft turron de alcante. Thank you so much for the video. Muchas gracias.
¡Feliz Navidad! Thank you for your recipe. I've scoured the internet for a good turron recipe, and I think this might be it. I've seen one from Anna's Kitchen which was ok, but my turron had no structure, so when I baked it to remove extra moisture, it ended up like a meringue candy that tasted like a turron. The differences between your recipe and everyone else's is that you add the honey first for 15 min then the sugar. Everyone else adds all the sugars at once and either uses candy thermometers for hard crack version or 45-60 minutes of stirring. Some also say to put the turron either in the frig or freezer to harden faster. I will try yours this week because I keep failing and your recipe gives me hope! Especially during the season of hope and grace! I'll let you know how it comes out!
@@SpainonaFork I followed your recipe to a T, but the torrone is still wet. I let it dry for about 6 hours and it was stiff but not hard. I didn't want to cook it too long so as not to burn the sugar or honey. I live in WA State, and we have a lot of rain this year, so I think the humidity is affecting it. Should I use cream of tartar to stabilize the egg whites, or beat the eggs longer before I add the honey mixture? Thanks for all your tips and Feliz Año Nuevo!!
That's some very delicious looking Spanish Almond Nougat!!! You really nailed it. Such a beautiful presentation! Thanks for sharing. Merry Christmas! 😃👍
Wow. I love Turron and can’t buy it here. First had it when I was in Madrid in 1975. Very excited to try your recipe. Hope my effort is successful. Thanks for your video
Hi, I'm Ivy. I came over from Booger's channel because I saw that you were going to send her beets. I thought that was funny, so I came over. Love the almond treat. Never made nougat before. I'm allergic to eggs BUT ... I think I can use my whipped bean water. Gonna try. Thanks!
Great recipe may I knwo is this the hard crunchy torrone recipe ? I mean it’s not only the almonds making it crunchy I’m asking about the texture because there two kinds of torrone soft and crunchy 🌸🌹
Oh yeah! I went on a nougat quest last year - without finding what I was looking for! This is it - just perfect! Thank you so much for sharing! 💗💗💗
Thank you so much for your comment, happy holidays :)
