Filmed at the Whisky a Go Go - I was there, ended in an actual riot. Inger threw a drink into a Security dude's face (he was a jerk) and he swung and hit some other girl - huge riot. She smashed the box office window on the way out... Last of the many Nymphs shows I saw with her. There was one after, in Riverside, but she never showed up so the audience members took turns singing the songs!
I saw them during that time at the Marquee in Garden Grove. She pulled a guy up on stage, announced a new song "how I suck C*ck". She then proceeded to give him a bobo. The riot started soon after there too. She is my hero.
@@alexbazoo Yes! I was there, too. She had lost her voice mid-show and was trying to find something to make it interesting... haha. There were girls in the audience who started to yell at her and she came back at them. The cops came in minutes - full on mayhem! Amazing.

I don't think the drugs are the issue here. It was totally the label that fucked things up. Holding the record back meant they missed their moment. Simple as that. This drops in 1990 they're stars. Even with DGC pushing the record back it probably would have worked out fine for them if DGC gave a shit and promoted it. They did not. I mean look at this crappy video. Contrast this with the Nirvana videos and you can see what the issue was pretty easy. Also marketing them as "the last glam band" is just fucking weird. They didn't look or sound very glam. They looked alternative and their music functioned somewhere between Appetite/Lies era GNR, Sonic Temple by The Cult, Brick by Brick era Iggy Pop, Jane's Addiction's 2 records, and grunge bands bands like Mother Love Bone and Facelift era Alice In Chains. Bottom line fuck DGC.

There was a brief time in history when Sunset Strip glam had rough sex with Grunge-y alternative and the Nymphs were the beautiful bastard child of the union.
@@lupishanza1009 Great question. By their own admission in the song "Whiplash liquor" UKJ proclaim they're neither Glam or thrash.
