I just wanted to tell you that I don’t think you’re a bad host; just didn’t like the format of the previous videos. Removing the number system and staying more impartial helps a lot.
He's not bad, or at least I don't think he's bad. All hosts at donut are good, my least favorite is probably Zach, but he's still very good and would be waaaaaaaaay better then me if I was a host.

Yeah the 2 most well known rivalries like Mustang versus Camaro and Bugatti versus Koenigsegg turned out to be a disaster in this show just because of points, causing a lot of controversy.

I wonder the same thing. Maybe they are too old and "large"... Cant fit. IDK... Love sports cars! I bought a 2019 86 gt bc I already had 2 vettes and camaro. Needed daily. Liked visibility etc better than 370z etc... Love Zs... Weird decision maybe, but it has worked out very well so far. Got enough storage in back helps. Great mpg too!!! Just crappy hp, but it still does fine. See it some on Road Odyssey channel on TH-cam.... Great cruiser.
the new 86 is an interesting car to me. My broke ass is currently stuck with an '04 Accord sedan, but it's a V6 and is plenty of fun to drive with decent hp (240) and torque. Compared to that, I'd think the 86 would perform almost as well and maybe with better handling as I'm assuming it's MUCH lighter than the Accord with only roughly 35 less hp. The unfortunate torque dip is the only thing that worries me
@@terminhaider9695 SavageGeese sums it up perfectly: Right car, wrong engine. I'll probably sell my brz this summer because the torque dip bugs me and I miss having a Miata.
The cheaper ones I can't fit in(gt86 and miata), the cheapers ones I can fit in are mustangs and camaros which I dont want, its not worth buying a 370z new, and the ones I do want I can't afford.

I haven't looked into how much an AE86 would cost. But due to it's legendary status, I'm betting it's not affordable unless you've got a ton of time and money just laying around.
AE86's in 3-4 years are gonna be more expensive than GT86's

As an owner of a 200sx with a CA18DET, it is disappointing to not see it just mentioned
everyone forgets about the old ca18det :( in europe, or atleast the uk, the s13 200sx only came in a pop up hatch with a ca18
i'm putting a CA18DET in a Nissan right now but its wrong wheel drive. CA is definitely the underdog

@@justawhitenigga 500+hp diesel in Europe? Nope. At least not a normal not tuned car. B57 makes 400hp, Touareg/SQ7 435hp V8. So you must be thinking about 6.0 V12 Audi diesel in Q7 first gen. But that engine had so many problems, owners would sell it 1 euro just to get rid of that. I was a mechanic for many years in Europe. I know the cars.
@@augstsh Well they are almost the same, diesel is better for its torque. So for trips and daily, its better to have diesel. Especially if you have a light foot on the gas, you can almost cruise in neutral most of the trip. But if you want to hear some revs, have some fun in the corners and work that gearbox a bit, petrol is better.

@@silverwolf6738 I got a fwd 2004 Honda Accord v6 and every winter I go to empty parking lots and just kinda spin around yeeting the handbrake. Short answer, you *can* drift it, but mostly only if the road is slippery enough or just drive with tires so old they don't have tread lmao

Same here. I knew the 86 was a good drift car. Got a 2019. Put over 40k miles in 1 yr. Love the heck out of it. Takes curve like my 2000 and 2005 modified vettes. My daily too. Great car so far.

Ive owned 2 silvias in my life, my first S13 fastback. I had that car for 2 years until i was involved in a head on collision at night time. I just recently bought a S15 that is US legal now, since the coronavirus came i thought it was great to get one. The S15 is gonna be great for this year.
Love my 86. The bumper is a bummer, looks alright in black though.
Pretty easy to work with, hard-lines stock, plenty of space to play despite that heritage. Parts aren’t too bad either.

I miss my s13 240sx. I did an sr20det red top swap. And it just had 425cc fuel injectors and I upgraded the boost to 10lbs. And that car was so sick! I miss it. And it also had an r32 rear diff and 300z front brake swap. Very fun drift cars!
Not gonna lie, I didn’t like this host at first, but in retrospect, I guess it was just because of the scoring system. This video changes things. 👏🔥

I’ve got an 86 and raced it in a circuit series in Australia. Great car, wildly tough, incredibly reliable engine with oil sump baffle and cooler. Gearbox is very weak, 4th gear goes all the time, the rear suspension geometry doesn’t allow much squat (to help is slide more easily). The chassis (not suspension, the actual monocoque chassis) is massively stiff. Now have one as a road car. I absolutely love it. Also, I think that I’d call the rear suspension multilink, it’s got an upper A arm, two lower control are and toe link. Lots of little things you can do easily but it’s no S chassis when it comes to modification.
The s chassis is a better car, in my opinion, if you want to pour yourself into it. In Australia we were lucky like you mentioned, SR20DET as standard, for a few bucks you get yourself a bleed valve in the boost reference line and that’s the end of your life as you knew it. Everything on an s-chassis is like that, it’s just better and easier to get massive gains. You always find yourself wanting more and you keep spending but you get so much back from the car when you put effort in. And here the pricing is almost reversed, s14s regularly for for more than 86s, s15s I think all go for more than 86s.
For me I’m a bit lazy, I was to beat the living shit out of my car and not have to worry about a little tweak here, a litttle fix there. That’s an 86. My cousin can’t help himself. He’s had a string of other people’s disaster s chassis and given them a new life as road registered drift beauties.

FA20 handle boost just as well. Ka blows up after about 10 psi unless built.
