      @@masonvevo. kind of like everything else out there then? The complete line of F-150s have major electrical and transmission issues.
      Jeep, well enough said.
      Chevy Silverado/GMC Sierra were ranked as the least reliable full-size truck in 2021 with engine issues and quality issues, nothing has changed for 2023.
      Lincoln Aviator: Major electrical issues including back over prevention, forward collision avoidance, and the fuel/propulsion system, brakes, steering, suspension, and vehicle speed control.
      By far the most common problem is related to a warning message the driver gets to “stop safely now.” There are indications that this may be related to some sort of battery failure.
      Airbags are also a big issue.
      I could go on and on…Alfa is much better than many mainstream manufacturers.
      If you want ultimate reliability chances, go with Toyota, otherwise move on and be prepared to take whatever new model vehicle you are driving into the shop more often than ever before.

      Why would you pay $20k more for the exact same car? Is that badge that important? It's like people who pay $90k for a Lincoln Navigator because they think it's a different vehicle than a $40k Ford Explorer. I purchased a GT Plus with the Track Pack. Blacktop Pack, and the Tech Pack and I love it. It has all the tech of the Alfa and the 2.0l Hurricane 4 Turbo engine is actually faster than the Hybrid. Dodge understated the performace stats on that engine and all the testers are proving it

  • @bigpopa1971

    Dude, why are you reviewing a fully equipped Alfa with a GT and not the GT Plus. The GT Plus has all the power features including the Sunroof. Your review makes it appear as though those options are not available in the Dodge. Not reviewing equal trim level cars and then not identifying the fact that all of the differences you indicated are available in your review makes this review very lame. This video gets the gas face because of that.

    This is badge engineering at its worst - two nearly identical products that vary widely in price. Note that once you get beyond the bespoke hoods and front fascias, all the exterior body panels are shared between the two cars (to Alfa's detriment). Most of the interior bits are shared as well.
    So it has to be this way, you say? Nope. Check out the VW Golf versus Audi A3, alike in platform and powertrains, but very different in exterior/interior appearance. That's how you do platform sharing properly.

    • @davidturgeon2087
      @davidturgeon2087 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Actually, this is badge engineering at its best. The Hornet gets the option of a 2L turbo ICE powertrain in the GT that the Tonale does not offer, so the powertrains are about as different as they can be.

      @@davidturgeon2087 A different engine (which will be offered b y the Hornet in due time) does not constitute a unique vehicle. I would love to lease a Hornet R/T Plus once it's available. I think it looks great. Some fail to realize not everyone wants an 800HP Dodge. There is a market for a normalized Dodge vehicle or two which they haven't been taking advantage of very well. I like the Dodge brand a lot but at the same time I want a practical vehicle and an 800HP vehicle isn't that. Many people say Dodge will not survive after the death of the HEMI engines, but I think it's the opposite. Dodge cannot survive on only HEMI vehicles.

    • @RockandrollNegro

      Yet, when it comes to Dodge, the only vehicles they sell well are RWD V8 musclecars. Each time they come out with something like this, it sells OK for the first year, but once the reports of terrible build quality come through, people go back to what Dodge is relatively good at making, the Charger and Challenger. Dodge has forever been trying to come up with a fuel efficient car that can help offset the CAFE averages that the 300/Charger/Challenger spike, but nobody goes to Dodge for practical, fuel-efficient hatchbacks, because Dodge sucks at building them.
