I researched whether or not this man was trespassing, and he in fact was, the officer could have enforced a trespass on him. ‘Authorized Vehicles only’ signs not only apply to cars, but they apply to humans too, basically anything that can transport you to the restricted area is not allowed, that’s generally what the sign is meant to imply. Not everyone uses Uber. There is a video of a man, not drunk but has some issues who lives less than a mile from karaoke bar where everyone knows him. Check it out. See what the police did to this poor guy who did nothing wrong. I get your point. In fact when * was younger I was always the designated driver because I didn't want to be in a position where one of my friends was driving but had some drinks. No Uber back then. No táxis for us, too expensive at the time. Going to bars, trying to meet women, having to buy drinks because you going to say no if they ask you to buy them one? No....lol. Give you another example. Nothing went wrong and it worked out fine because I mind my manners with police. Early on in the cell phone era I got a phone call from a girl I was dating. Was after 10pm and driving home about a 40 minute drive from work. You couldn't talk on cell and drive. So I did the responsible thing and pulled over into a residential street, off the main road. Was talking for less than 10 minutes when the cops roll up. Ask me what I was doing there. I explained. They said some neighbors called and said I looked suspicious. I explained I'm willing to move just pulled over to take a call and didn't want drive and talk on the phone because I knew it was against the law. He smiled and told me I did the right thing and went on his way. Now I explained, gave ID, was polite and I understand people's concerns. I could have been an ass, imo, and held my ground, I hadn't committed a crime, he had no due cause to question me, the homeowners or renters don't own the street. I could have made something out of it and been technically in the right, but for what? Protect people's rights to park on the side of the road to take a call? Not worth my time or effort. But public access to public property even if you can't enter with your car is different. Would I fight that battle? No. Most people don't even know the laws. Most people would give a posted sign more credit than what the constitution reads. Sometimes I use a cane in the past if my knees were hurting. Protected under ADA. Yet people ask why I am using the cane? Illegal to ask. Even on a plane or in court or any facility, government or not. Service animals too. No certifications or documentations required. But most people don't know that, even employers. You may disagree with the necessity for auditors. But answer me this? Where do you draw the line? Who gets to say this you can challenge and this tou can't even though they are illegally stepping on your constitutional rights? Who gets to make that decision? You? Me? The government? Hell no to the government on that one! Point being it may be worthless to you, but it's still against the law and if we can be held accountable, so can they, IMO. Thanks for responding cordially! There is a reason behind it. It's to make sure that they know the law and see following it and not just making up stuff. You may not like it but what you like doesn't matter. It's the same as when a cop ask for your ID and you say no and he gets s mad and starts tripping out because he doesn't know the law and he thinks that just because he asks everyone has to comply with him but state law says you only have to give ID after you are arrested. That's state law and id know one challenges that cop he will teach other cops that when you ask for ID they have to give it to you. This. He wanted to be a smart ass with his "specifically" but the sign specifically says only authorized vehicles may enter.
Brilliant!!!!!! 😂
@@angelsjoker8190 "authorized vehicles only" means that only authorized vehicles are allowed. a person is not a vehicle and so would be irrelevant to the sign. if it meant only authorized people only, it would've been either gated, or said do not enter, or restricted area. the only implied here is that if authorized vehicles only are allowed, then unauthorized vehicles are not allowed. to make that leap of logic to say "authorized vehicles only" means only authorized vehicles and literally nothing else, then that would imply that what is not allowed also include: all humans. all animals. leaves and sticks from the nearby trees. rain drops. literally anything that moves that is not "an authorized vehicle". this is why her logic falls apart, and that it does not work that way.
long story short: if the sign did not allow people, it would have said private area, off limits, not "authorized vehicles only"
small correction: this is assuming the sign does not say "do not enter" at the end. if it says "authorized vehicles only. do not enter" then she was correct... which she does say actually.

I can deal with someone who is ignorant yet kind because they have a teachable spirit and pose no threat. We need to honor these type of officers who serve the community and go out of our way to protect them and to educate them as well either kindness.
A cop who is mean and rude is emotionally unstable and poses a threat to himself and others likely escalating things. The auditior imo should have left just to avoid issues I understand he can be back there but just because he can doesn’t mean he should.
Edit: While ‘authorized vehicles only’ sign refers to the restriction of vehicles and not people directly, the vehicle is a means of transportation for people, so people would also be restricted from going into the area. She also mentioned that the journalist passed a ‘Do Not Enter’ sign later on in the video, which obviously restricts pedestrians.
The wording itself implies you need to been in a vehicle in the first place anyway. Similar to bikes only for bike lanes. As soon as he said "Am I a vehicle?" she should have said "No, that's why you have to leave, you're not a vehicle, the sign says vehicles only."

@@richardgonzales3562this man is trespassing and politely telling him to leave so he doesn’t have to be arrested… “authorized vehicles only” INCLUDES the people inside them. Every law regarding vehicles also apply to people in the vehicle
@@richardgonzales3562As to your comment about walking home drunk. Its against the law. The law being public intoxication. Thats why you need to get a taxi, uber or designated driver.
@christhenoob6396 never said drunk, did I? After drinking. Could be one beer? If you were stumbling about drunk in public would be an issue. A bit stretched because not causing a disturbance.
Open discussion is how we evolve and adapt.
@@richardgonzales3562 I guess technically it would depend on the person if theyd be drunk after one beer. But as to the video you said to look up. What is the name of it?

If a sign says employees only does that mean you can drive you car through a door? It is a driveway and normal people do not walk up a driveway to harass someone. It is obviously not open to the public. Do they have to open the jail because it is a public building? Common sense is lost on you. So because she's beautiful she gets to trample over your rights? 😂😂😂😂😂
She seems so nice and patient, and kind-hearted. This guy is giving her a hard time for what reason? What a weirdo
Not only is the cop wrong but the law also says it's a secondary chargeand that means that you can't be arrested for failure to ID.
She needs to learn the law even tho she's cool woman 😂

@@zlayer3170 is probably not public property or at least has the right to restrict entrance, the guy (the auditor) is adressing that the vehicle restriction is fine by just a "sign posted", so if the police came with a sign saying authorized people only he would inmediately accept he is in the wrong? is kind of dumb, he may be in the right about trespassing as was not clarified in the sign, but if he is being clarified about he not being allowed to be there, then it should be wrong to stay after that clarification
