I wish hardcore compilations were still a thing as much as they were in the 80s, but I guess it's been made redundant by streaming services. Still, there's a couple good ones. I ordered the "Greetings From Sweden" compilation last year and I've listened to it quite a bit since. Thanks for another good episode!
@@Dennisdeepcuts It really is! I got it because it's got an Exil track on it and I discovered so many other bands I ended up really liking on it. I'm still holding out hope for a part two.
I bought my copy of Tooth and Nail at a Gilman Street record swap in the 80's even then it wasn't easy to find. John Silva worked the swaps with his partner (the guy who ran moby disk) he had a bunch of copies. Silva later went on to manage sonic youth and then nirvana and maybe the foo fighters now? Dennis, what happened to Patrick Johnsson who ran Really Fast? I met him in SF in the 90's he was visiting here and staying at the Max RnR house.
I would add one of the We Got Power comps. I can never decide which I like the most. And The New Hope comp because of The Guns tracks and a bunch of other cool stuff. There's enough great comps do talk about for hours.

Yeah, the culture has changed a lot. But that's a great comp for sure! Some real killers on there.

He’s still sort of around.
Think he might be a bit of a biker but still playing in a punk band.
Haven’t talked to him in a hot minute though.

Yes. We got power comps are great and I could probably do another 3-4 episodes about this.
Any chance you'd ever do a Japanese or Italian punk/hardcore episode?
Italy maybe. My Japanese section is not as great as I would like it to be.
Ruling!
