Church is a church is a church. Is there need to state that churches in Finland are protestant, almost all christians in Finland are Lutherian, which makes them protestant. Anyway, got it, there's some church with a glass roof, cool.
"I cant keep up with the car" thats such an insightful Bjorn observation. M3 is so efficient in real life it will put charge faster than you can rest and eat. Other bloggers saying the efficiency/charge numbers are not relevant should take a look, its a big deal.
Your road trips with the Ioniq lead me to get one, next on my shopping list Model Y but model 3 looks awesome and i love the last 10 minutes showing the traditional hotel EXCELLENT Video Bjorn
Bjørn, the Model 3 has a chargeport unlock from the charging screen as well, but it is hard to find. It's all the way to the right of the screen, look for padlock icon. Tesla should move it or make it more visible.
I'm sure he knows that but it's a pain to go into the car to press the button and hurry back out to yank out the plug before it relocks. Bjørn's point was that it's a lot less convenient even to use the app while standing there than to just have a fob that lets you do it immediately.
@@curiou25s I don't know how the Model 3 differs from my Model S, but you can always open the door and plug in, but releasing the plug is a different story. You don't want some random stranger to be able to unplug you (and if you're using your UMC make off with it), so it won't release the plug unless it senses your fob or you use the onscreen button or the app. It will make a clicking sound and momentarily stop charging, but won't release the plug. Fobs are an optional and expensive extra with Model 3s (and weren't even an option when they first came out), so you're reduced to ducking inside the car or using the app. Just pressing the button won't work.
There's a new rumor that Model X an S are being redesigned to support Model 3 permanent magnet motor an improvements in efficiency. Very likely working on new battery technology to support 250 kWh charging. This news apparently came out after quarter results. Likely to address Wall Street's concerns that Model X an S lacks Model 3 charging speed an they mentioned the infotainment responsiveness vs Model 3. So it's very possible there will be reductions in energy use with Model S an X in future models. Likely have AP3 hardware as DAErik video shows the board. Already people in the US are using enhanced summons with calling the car from across the parking lot.
wow what an amazing ending and a huge cliffhanger right at the end, cant wait for the next part! It made me glad that you finally got some northern lights on your footage. I'm still really excited for next part of Lofoten roadtrip aswell to see if you, Ammery and Optimus Prime got to see the northern lights. I actually got to see Optimus Prime in person right before it retired, just the same as I saw the original Millennium Falcon in Oslo right before it retired aswell. I hope I get a chance too see MC Hammer sooner, than right at the end of its career. :D
BMS doesn't need to learn. Picked up a M3 a few weeks ago and went straight to a SuC - got 118kW without any problems. There is a bug with ccs+type2 SuCs atm.
My model 3 in the US is weird about supercharging. Sometimes I can drive for an hour and have had full regen for a while and plugin and get 40kW max on supercharger. Other times it hops up to 118 then immediately falls to 80. This only happens on my mid-range with free supercharging not my long range with paid supercharging. The long range 3 amazed me recently where it had 50% regen limit and within 5 mins of plugging in I had 115kW.
The high speed fans while supercharging didn’t kick in as loud or as hard prior to 2019.8.3 on the model 3. They ramped it up since 2019.8.3 no doubt to prepared the car for higher charge rates from v3.
Try cycling the pack, 100% - 5%(or below). This will reset the energy estemator which is how the car mainly calculates the % left. Might not help with the charging, but who knows
I'm still surprised you got the P. I thought you'd want MAXIMUM EFFICIENCY (with AWD :P). Is it a shock going from a huge X to the smaller 3? The videos look so different when you look in the back seat haha. It's like...that's it?!
Damn it Bjorn. Now i want to visit Lapland (and Lofoten). I think i might drive next winter in my shitty 14 year old Toyota. 🤔 Just need a set of winter tyres. Great stuff as usual. Loving the model 3 content.
Great video as always! I've seen huge improvements in my AP2 Model S over the last year. Oddly, when I first got it it worked on a completely unlined city street but with the first update no longer did. Since then as long as it is engaged where there are lines it will often go quite a way just fine if the lines disappear. Other than that, it was scarily bad at first (losing track of the correct lane through curved and not perfectly aligned intersections and swerving at intersections where the outside line curved to meet a side street) but has gotten quite good. It has gotten more cautious, though, and occasionally slams on the brakes for no reason. I guess that's better than not hitting the brakes when it should, though. It has gotten much better at recognizing bicyclists and pedestrians, although it doesn't really do much about them yet.
Dude... at 10:45 you were comparing Tesla's Autopilot to Nissan's ProPilot, which I tried, and it doesn't even work on the UK motorways. Don't expect ProPilot to work anywhere. It also ruined my garage, my car must've been triggered and it just lept forward. Switched to Model X and I am way happier.

They're frameless so the window has to lower and raise every time you open the door. If you're like Bjorn and going to open the doors a million times it saves on wear on the door window actuator. Same thing for Mercedes and older BMW cars that had them.
I don’t get any crazy fan noise while supercharging my LR Model 3 at ~115kw. The ambient temperatures here are warmer than yours too. Could there be an issue with your particular car’s cooling loop or something else?
Do Tesla Destination chargers in Europe have Tesla or J1772 plugs, or both? I was thinking if you parked to sleep you could find a Destination charger to plug into so you don't incur idle fees, and you can slow charge up to 100% if you wish, or maybe 95%
Neither. Tesla's shipped to Europe support the Mennekes "Type 2" plug for Level 2 charging which is conceptually similar to the J1772 connector used in North America. Model 3's in Europe have a CCS Combo receptacle which uses the Type 2 receptacle combined with connectors for DC fast charging. Models S and X have a Type 2 receptacle only but Tesla was able to implement Supercharging using the same plug. Yes, Bjørn could have destination charged the night he slept in the car if there was a convenient public charger but he may have wanted to park somewhere more private.
So cool that you finally caught the northern lights!
I live near the church its a really old protestant church, it has a glassroof since it was on fire when i was young.

Love the simplicity of the videos, very down to earth. I am currently waiting for my model 3 long range dual motor :)
Even though the video is 2 yrs old, it was worth the watch just to see the finnish traditions and the northern lights!

Very cool movie with Tesla Model 3 roadtrip and Finnish hotels and saunas. And finally the northern lights 🇫🇮🏚️🧖♂️🔝👍
The ending scene with the serene music and the aurora hovering above was so sublime. You really captured the emotion perfectly, Bjorn.
Thank u for showing the amazing Northern Lights!
Can't wait to see the next part!
The last 2 minutes are the best part of the trip. Thank you for sharing your experience :)

Bjorn in a SPEEDO? I would pay to see that! lol
Lovely car. Happy April, Bjorn. I wish the Model 3 were inexpensive enough in Canada.
For the record: I actually really enjoy the mukbang segments! There aren't many other places where I can enjoy my twin obsessions of EVs and food!
Looking forward to your Model3 sound insulation videos, tested one with spike tires and unfortunately the tire noise was nowhere near premium...
Oh, cool. You caught the aurora borealis on video. It's like magic in the ionosphere! :D
Great video Björn. That ending was absolutely beautiful. I went to the IceHotel in jukkasjärvi but it was cloudy so sadly no spectacular night sky.
Glad I watched to the end! Beautiful aurora!
My 3 was slow to charge when I first got it too. After more charges it picked up to 119KW
Breakfast lunch is called brunch Bjorn
