matheusz took alot more risks and was more active and attacking. dante seemed like he was playing it safe. sadly leon won by being so conservative. poor matheusz. i agree w the decision tho.
This is a tournament. Strategy is involved here. He has more matches ahead (I think 1 more to semi, and the finals -- so two more). He could've done more, of course, but he had to pace himself. More exciting if he let it all out during this match? Absolutely. Best thing strategically? Definitely not. Not affiliated with Dante, or his team -- or even his country, for that matter.

An unsatisfying match.
Adcc has become boring, the rule set needs to promote action and not stalling if they want to grow the sport. If they wore a Gi it would be the same as an ibjjf tournament
why didn't Dante score when he took the back?
It was all about the minutia of what counts as taking the back: over under and both hooks in. The hooks were not technically both in at the same time at any point in the sequence.

Szczecinski was lame during this. Pulling guard and hunting a leg lock the whole time is so boring to watch.

Mateusz was literally constantly attacking wether it’s the legs or not he wanted that sub, this is adcc not fucking golf idk what more you can ask of someone
if people pull guard and go for leg locks "oh my god this is so boring!"
if they stay on their feet trying to get takedowns but nothing happens cuz they're not wrestlers "oh my god this is so boring"
im sorry but not every competitor will be as dominant as gordon.
But if you think bjj is boring then perhaps is watching the wrong compettion and thats entirely on you.
Train some jiu jitsu until you understand what they're doing. Then it will be more exciting to watch because you'll understand the little battles better
