I just thought I'd add some advice. I was able to successfully remove the old acct user by contacting Blink themselves and providing them with proof of purchase. In my case, I got a blink camera from Salvation Army. I provided that receipt to Blink, and they were able to remove the old user. Hope this helps.
I got a blink camera but I was the owner and registered on my old phone which I lost and now I can’t set it up again because It says registered on different account
Great advice. I've recently bought a blink doorbell camera, and a problem I had was that you can only sync one device to the camera. My family members wanted to sync their phones to the camera too, but couldn't because blink only allows one account to operate the camera. So instead of blink allowing several devices to be used under one account, we found a TH-cam video to teach us what to do. Each family member had to download the blink app onto their phones, and then each family member had to use the email and password that I used when I created the first initial account with blink. We were very upset about this, until we found a way to circumvent the issue. Anyway, thk you for your advice, I would've never thought that someone could sell you cameras that were already registered to a different account, with no way to clear it out.
I have a new email address & no longer have the email I used to register the blink. I do remember the password, but it wants to send a verification code to that old email address I no longer have. 😢
Well, when I called Blink they said there is no way to unlock or reset the cameras. The only way is for the person that previously registered them would go into their account and delete the camera from their account. So, from what I understood, if you have a new phone number, you must go into your Blink account and delete the cameras first. Then set up a new account with your new number. Then add the cameras to the new account. My suggestion to all would be to call Blink directly. They tried to answer all of my questions. They just said unlocking is not possible without first deleting cameras from the account they were registered to...
Now in my case I bought the cameras for my grandfather he ended up selling his property after my grandma passed and moved in with my family. He brought the cameras with as well. I was the one who set them up for him and since he is my grandpa I was able to go into his blink app and delete the cameras from his account. So if anyone is in the situation of buying them from someone who used them and decided to resell them you can ask them to delete the cameras from their blink account through the app before purchase or if someone you knows is regifting them to you then you can have them to do the same and delete them from their account and everything will end well and you won’t just have to use them for parts.
When I talked with Blink, they told me there was nothing they could do without the original account owner removing the camera(s) or the module from the account. Like I mentioned in the video though, some people will buy them for the parts. Thanks for the comment!

That is great news! Thanks for the comment!
I bought 4 units at Goodwill - have the receipt. Called BLINK they absolutely refused to help.
@@josiechoulat7261Amazing.
Especially if Blink can see that it hasn't been used in months or years.
I contacted Blink and provided the best buy receipt of purchase and they denied to reset the account 😢
Yep... that's what they told me. Thanks for the comment.

Yes, I hear ya! Without the old account you can't remove them in order to put them on a new account.

That is how my wife and I do this. One account, both have the app on our phones, then we use the same log in and password. Thanks for the comment!
How do you unregister a camera when you have the original sync module but no place in blink app to unregister
You have to be the account holder that originally registered it. You go into that original account and remove the units. Hope this helps!

I would call Blink! Tell them that you know the email and password!
Hey. Quite informative. However. Can the blink doorbell be "unlocked "? Or reset? What is the recourse for operating system for a new line?

True!
I have two that came with my home I purchased.
Maybe you can contact the old homeowners to see if they would remove them from their account. Then you would be good to go!
our cameras are registered to my husband account he deleted the account and also he forgot the password😢
Oh no!
Blink wants us to purchase new units not reuse them!
Yes... Blink won't reset them. Thanks for commenting!
What is the solution if the Sync module gave me the same message?

sometimes they're stolen cameras too. 🤦🏻♂️great for dummy cameras.
True!
Found one in a building we were disassembling.
Already registered, so plan to use it as a deterant.
I have a indoor camera
I would imagine that Blink works the same way for all their cameras.
They are rubbish, no access to previous account so might as well go in the bin
Blink is no help when asking to unlock. i have sold them for parts though. Some people say they use them as dummy security cameras.
