This is all about powering up the sync module while pressing in the reset button. The Blink help only tells you to press the reset button while it is powered which just resets the stored WiFi connection settings. Powering up with the reset button pressed causes the original factory firmware to restored. You then need to add the sync module to your system, connect to WiFi and the sync module starts to download the latest firmware. Everything now works as before, no more “WiFi password incorrect”. Thanks for suggesting this fix. I was just about to buy a new sync module! 😊
Wow!! This actually worked!! I had to get a new Wi-Fi router and of course had to update my settings but what kept coming up was 'Wi-Fi password incorrect'. I tried over and over dozens of times, but it never worked. I thought I was going to have to buy a whole new setup until I found this password fix. Thanks for the help. This worked on the first try!
I've had Blink for several yrs now and they have been reliable and trouble free until ... I had some connectivity issues with one of my gen 1 syn modules. I almost tossed it, but stumbled on to your video. It took me a few tries, but then it connected and immediately went into a firmware update. Works normally now. Thank you so much !

Thank you for this brilliant tip, which has both saved my sanity and saved me from throwing away my entire Blink set-up! I'd already spent hours trying to get it sorted after it first went wrong last Sunday and was on the point of giving up. It was great to get this resolved today, as I had to collect a hedgehog from my local rescue and I was really concerned that I wouldn't be able to monitor how well he settles now that he's back home. I'm glad for all the help this has provided people. I pulled my hair out for days, trying to fix my cameras. Im still in absolute disgust that Blink refuses to give this fix out to people. It took me hours to figure this out. I knew there had to be a way to do a 100% reset for the hub and purge the incompatible software updates Blink pushed. I have had forum posts on a few different formats that got mysteriously deleted somehow. This has probably helped well over 10,000 people. Thus saving people close to $200,000 in total, it is probably closer to half a million. What a rotten company to refuse to give people the info to fix the hubs they actually broke changing the software in the hubs. Sam loves the attention! She is a once in a lifetime dog. I have owned many dogs over the years. She is special. All dogs are as long as their owners take care of them. This one has loyalty I have never seen before. She will not let me out of her sight at home. She is a big girl.....the video does not fully show her 70lbs. My wife is 5'2. She is taller then her when she is up on her rear legs. She know at least 20 tricks and commands.

Same thing with mine. This worked it said updating firmware and connected to the network. But the arrow by local storage in the app still isn't there and cameras record with no clips. Also, live view wouldn't work and couldn't update thumbnails. I rest 2 of my cameras which was a pita given their location. Then live view and thumbnails updated but still no clips to view ha. Then I unplugged the module and moved it to a different location. Since then, I have been unable to connect it again, trying the same procedure. My system worked great for almost 2 years, then all of a sudden, August 7th no more local storage option and problems with the module.

I can not get my indoor blink wired cams to connect. One existing camera that used to work, and a new one. Both continue to say incorrect password. Any suggestions?

They know about this fix but won't tell anyone. It's disgusting. It's a problem with their software being updated and them not including older devices in the fix. Mind you.....now they charge a fee for recorded footage on their cloud. They want you to buy a new one which is not grandfathered into the free cloud storage. That's why they withhold the information.
This week I changed out the hardware on my 5G mesh network to a Deco 6E mesh network. Every device in the house has reconnected, but the Blink Sync Module. The Deco 6E allows you to have dedicated 2.4 channel for IoT devices like cameras. I’m going to try this to see if it fixes my wrong password issue.
None of this worked for me. In the end I deleted the Blink app from my phone, reinstalled it, updated the firmware on the control module and the camera, and finally everything worked.
@@agunachembadeshadow355 After you delete the app in your phone and reinstall it, then the firmware will update as you go through the normal set up process. It will tell you not to turn off your phone because the firmware's updating. Only took a few minutes max. Hope that helps.

The few post I have made probably cost them hundreds of thousands of dollars in lost sales. I would not remove it even if they did pay me. Dishonest company.

I just bought a set of blink outdoor 4s and I had this issue. This fixed the problem and in so gratefully i avoided the whole return process
