Thank you for sharing this nice video about the city I live in and try to promote to visitors 😊Indeed Fishermans bastion is one of the most popular spots and certainly the most crowded, but the tip about coming here late evening is nice as most of the organized tour groups are gone by that time and its easier to enjoy it, although I would say you don't need to climb up to the first floor of the Fishermans bastion (for which you need to pay during the day, but in late evening and very early morning the gates are open and no tickets are needed), the views are actually really good at the ground floor too and the arches and "Windows" make an excellent frame for the city of Pest :) Other scenic spots not mentioned in the video that I really like include the Danube view from Gellert hill lookout spots, On Buda side of the river right in front of Parliament building at Batthanyi ter Station or the View of the St Stephens Basilica in the Zrinyi street in front of it 😊

At 4.20, under the right sleeve of Bea's jacket, you can notice a minuscule statue of the famous Franz Josef, whose name the Liberty Bridge was wearing earlier. ;-) He is sitting in a hammock, but I think he was placed there only by the playful mind of the artist, Mihály Kolodko. Huge reconstruction after the world wars and 1956 and big renovations and upgrades in the last 20 years. I'd been visiting for 11 years and living here for the last 10 years now. There was a complete overhaul of the city park and an ongoing reconstruction/renovation of the castle district with original buildings being put back to their former glory and usage. I can say that Budapest has improved in so many ways, aesthetically, the events as well as becoming quite a foodie town which I'm very grateful for. I haven't been to the spa, I really don't want to take a bath with a thousand people inside :) I was a little disappointed with the food, maybe I wasn't lucky when it comes to the restaurant. You should try fisherman's soup (halászlé). It's considered one of the spicier European foods. But a good goulash shouldn't feel like some hot water. It's actually quite a hearty soup. We have our fair share of tourist traps, so you should look the restaurants up in advance.

I dont know much about Bucharest, but as I know this title they got in the interwar period, when the city really looked like a small-Paris. I think after the destruction of the communism (as I know Causescu destroyed a complete classical city district, to build up his megaloman Parliament), and the consequence of a devastating earthquake in the late 70s, the city now not really look like anything close to Paris, except they have few really beautiful buildings scattered, and a very small area of "old town" (Centru Vech), which containing few streets only...
