    HS Can is the High Speed CAN (Controller Area Network) Bus. In the simplest terms, it's how modules in a newer car communicate (how the PCM sends data to the cluster, or the BCM [Body Control Module]). A new Mustang would have that and a Medium Speed CAN Bus for less critical things (like the radio or heater/AC).

    The yellow wire is a key on, but it is meant for your electric power assist system, a long with the hs can +/-, along with a power and ground that isn't included in the control pack. Typically your key on should be already wired through your steering column wiring for your radio, may want to go back over it all and make sure there isn't a ton of redundancy in the wiring near the wheel. Otherwise everything is explained pretty accurately and car seems to start up just fine.

I would want a ported cj intake and l&m intake cams...get upper 400 rwhp range with all supporting mods and closer to 500 with e85 fuel that would be straight nasty in a low 3000 lbs new edge lol. I wanna do that with a new edge...get it up close to 500 on motor reving to 8k and get the car down to 3000 lbs or less and put all the right suspension and tires on it it would run deep 10s with a vanilla na setup. Be pretty sweet i want it to be light but not a tin can not a straight race car itll be 100% street car capable of running in the 10s ON THE STREET with a dragy lol. Be sick.

      You may be right 🤔 do you have a swap ? If so where did you run yours

    • @cobrajeff96
      @cobrajeff96 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@xJD2Vx yes, I did the gen2 and just relied on much of the info in the control pack guide from FRPP.
      I actually used the 12v key-on wire from the 96 Cobra cube looking connector at the passenger side firewall as a trigger for a lot of different relays throughout the car, the coyote electronics being one of them. This same wire also energizes the control pack light-green wire that wakes it up. I didnt use much else through the control pack.
      Original 96 computer and other original stuff still controls AC and starter. Did the autometer 9117 tach adapter to get a clean signal, as I understand direct wiring into SN95 crank position sensor causes needle flutter at low rpm.

    So do you by chance know, I have to get a control pack for my engine, I have a Gen 1 block from a 2012, Just bought all forged internals, and I'm putting gen 2 heads on it from a 2017. What control pack would I use for that? aren't most of the plugs on the heads anyway?

    • @xJD2Vx
      @xJD2Vx  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You will use a gen 1 control pack and depending on your transmission it will be for a auto or manual . It has to be a gen 1 control pack because of the timing components. Since you have gen 1 heads and cams it must be a gen 1 control pack . Also if you order oil pump gears make sure it is for gen 1 that way all your timing is gen 1 thanks for watching man good luck on the build 🤘🏼

    • @lethalnate9461

      Only issue with swapping the v6 is you will need the 4.6 hydro boost setup, rack, pump, booster, lines. Thats if you want to keep power steering. So its usually easier to swap a v8 chassis.

    • @midnight347
      @midnight347 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would start with a v8 there is just more stuff needed with the v6 including trans and rear end with a GT or mach/cobra the stock stuff would work at least for a while trans might need built if you go much above stock coyote power and stock coyote redline but the stock v6 stuff wouldn't even be good enough for stock coyote power and redline. If sell the 6 and get a gt to swap you can find em cheap especially with high miles or non running engine
