I've heard some say that he enjoys voicing Spongebob, though I do think hearing the character now just feels painful. I can't help but be reminded of what happened to Marge Simpson's VA due to how she can't replicate the voice very well anymore.
Spongebob should end the show with him becoming the world's best chef or something like that, so he becomes famous and really happy. And he's training other young people on how to be a good chef, too. Or he could finally get his boating license. Idk just something like a "happy" ending.
I like to imagine the first SpongeBob movie as the finale in the SpongeBob episode timeline. Thing is, if there were any episodes that are supposed to take place after the movie, there would be the KK2 and SpongeBob as the manager of it. But that’s never even thought about in the show, let alone directly mentioned. In fact, Stephen Hillenberg _wanted_ the movie to act as the final episode in the SpongeBob timeline.
It was getting better for awhile from Season 9B-12 (excluding episodes like Ink Lemonade & The Nitwitting) but Seasons 13 & 14 have been the worst in the series IMO. Which we all knew would happen due to Stephens death. The fact that several fans are now nostalgic for Season 4 & 5 (The Declining but still has its share of golden moments era) shows that this series has dragged too long. Hell some fans I’m even starting to see are saying Seasons 13 & 14 have been so bad, they make Seasons 6-8 look like Comedy Gold in comparison
I don't know, I mean, there are some good episodes still, but most of them aren't that good, I thought season 13 had some really good episodes, but unfortunately they were very few compared to the good episodes of other seasons

You can tell that SpongeBob’s voice sounds slightly off in these newer episodes. There is definitely something off with the way his voice is pitched. It doesn’t sound “full.” Tom Kenny still sounds like SpongeBob, but it’s like his upper vocals have gotten flatter. Either that, or he’s trying not to strain himself nearly as much on his pitch.
Not just the jokes, but entire episodes. Sometimes in Modern SB the show will make a character or other variable more of a jerk, dumb, or whatever aspect so it can convenience the plot. It’s like, instead of fitting the shape into the correct hole, they just force a shape into a hole it shouldn’t be able to fit in and call it a day.
This is definitely a real problem. So many of the jokes could work on paper, but they force it in as if the writers believe kids won’t get it unless it’s specifically told to them. The clown joke, and even the ending with Patrick crying could’ve been great jokes if they didn’t just straight up tell you what the joke is.

I rewatched Funny Pants and although I'm not a fan of season 4, I'm shocked how much better we had it back then. Coherent story, funny faces kept to a minimum, occasional good jokes. 20 years has not been kind to this show.
Most of Season 4 was actually kinda solid and Ridiculously Overhated. The problem is the BAD episodes (Good Neighbors, Funny Pants, All That Glitters, Squid Wood, The Gift of Gum etc…) we’re significantly worse than the Worst Pre-Movie episodes (I’m with Stupid, Grandma’s Kisses, Dumped, Great Snail Race, All Season 3 Specials etc…) which hinted that the series was in decline
I haven't watched Modern Spongebob in about 2 years. MY LORD I had NO CLUE Tom Kenny's Spongebob voice had dilapidated SO MUCH! Nothing against him, it's Nickelodeon keeping this show and the VA's on Life Support
Nice to see you back Also I wonder why the writers can’t understand that SpongeBob isn’t Ren and Stimpy. I can’t stand the weird and exaggerated humor. However, in my eyes, Season 1 - 3 are the canon seasons, and the first movie is the true ending. It’s sad that Nick is milking a once amazing cartoon and turning it awful. I don’t care if people are sad when it ends. It just needs to. The show's creator died, and most of the voice actors/actresses are getting older, yet they just don’t care. So Nick, please, just let this show end already.
A lot of the crew who worked on Ren and Stimpy went to work on SpongeBob following the show’s cancellation. But half of em are old asf now and probably retired by now. These new writers/animators are on some other shit. They don’t gotta clue on how to properly tell the difference between SpongeBob and an old Bob Clampett cartoon now.
It feels like they're running low on budget or at least they're making their budget Tighter and Tighter to try and make as much profit as possible because the fishes in the previous episodes all had different colors and even unique patterns and all that our stuff and now they all just look the same SpongeBob and Patrick look extremely oversimplified not even blinking as much as they used to do it's kind of sad really and SpongeBob sounds completely different
This episode seems even more unsettling than just another random Spongebob episode popping in from the get-go. The other fishes at the beginning were all greenish, Spongebob's faces when he tries to hold in his laughs, and take that the entire episode of Spongebob laughing at many real-world situations we see today; poor customer service, an operation (whether if life-threatening or not), and even him laughing at a funeral. What scares me the most is that his whole face becomes a literal wide mouth agape, laughing 24/7. If I were Nickolodeon, this episode should be banned. The difference between this episodes and Funny Pants is that in In Funny Pants. He tries not to laugh at funny things or else he thinks he will never laugh again. In this episode Spongebob can’t stop laughing and he is trying not to laugh in front of people because it would be awkward. Which honestly sounds like a pretty good concept for an episode. Also, is it me or is the animation in the older seasons more smoother than in the newer seasons? I mean, at 3:41 he’s just sliding. It’s sad seeing Tom Kenny slowly loose the SpongeBob voice. Though at least it’s not as high as it was after the third season
I've heard some say that he enjoys voicing Spongebob, though I do think hearing the character now just feels painful. I can't help but be reminded of what happened to Marge Simpson's VA due to how she can't replicate the voice very well anymore.
I didn’t even know they had season 14 bruh😂😂
And a 15th and 16th season are confirmed.
Season 6 will be 10 seasons ago...
Make it stop.
@@BreakingNuytNo way. That makes me sick to my core
@@BreakingNuyt I thought only season 15 was confirmed right now.
Yeah, they started it literally right after season 13 ended
16 too? I thought only 15 was confirmed…
Spongebob should end the show with him becoming the world's best chef or something like that, so he becomes famous and really happy. And he's training other young people on how to be a good chef, too. Or he could finally get his boating license. Idk just something like a "happy" ending.
Most likely the show goes on until it gets canceled cause of a massive controversy.
Well....the first movie was meant to be exactly that. SpongeBob became his own manager.
people keep saying modern spongebob is good but its either boring or just terrible
@@jonahgoldstein9905seasons 7-10 really are underrated and judged too harshly

You see it walking. Its bones strugling
6:30 Idk why but "after killing the two doctors spongebob laughs" was hillarious to me for some reason.
Bro, they turned that Spongebob laughing banner meme into an entire episode.
Its just new mic production
It’s like the crying episode except with laughing
It’s like you took ear worm and funny pants and puked all over it and then took a massive watery poop on it

I feel like the modern SpongeBob is trying too hard to be funny to the point where some jokes feel forced
THESE JOKES ARE SO FORCED its actually insane
@@yuhaye3986 of course ive seen old spongebob my age doesn’t matter. I’m agreeing with you, that modern spongebob jokes are forced and lazy
SpongeBob has turned into cocomellon YT kids levels of annoying randomness.
I HATE HATE HATEEEEE the “random” humor. Like its just not FUNNY especially when they use it as much as they do in modern spongebob

Cause you know the series gets good after the first few duds. You just gotta prevail.
A lot of people are talking about Tom’s voice. It’s just age and it happens to everyone. I just think Tom can’t hit the highs of SpongeBob anymore or can’t do them long enough for a full session but it is still “SpongeBob enough” for me. Doesn’t really change the fact that the episodes aren’t good though.
he sounded relatively normal until like one specific line that made me go 🤨 and replay it a couple times bc it was just deep enough for me to be surprised that it was SpongeBob saying it
yeah it's when he says "nobody will hear me" around 3:46 . the first half of that sentence is fine too so it's just barely slipping
I can only hear the laugh from SpongeBob for so long
I rewatched Funny Pants and although I'm not a fan of season 4, I'm shocked how much better we had it back then. Coherent story, funny faces kept to a minimum, occasional good jokes. 20 years has not been kind to this show.
Season 4 was great.
Also the end of that episode is very random.

Nice to see you back
Also I wonder why the writers can’t understand that SpongeBob isn’t Ren and Stimpy. So Nick, please, just let this show end already.
when was spongebob underrated like ever
@@explicitcommentsThat’s an intentional mistake. I’ll go back and edit it, thanks for the reminder
Season 4 and 5 are overhated

It is so uncanny and out-of-normal, that I would rather consider this a CREEPYPASTA.

I'm really getting burnt out on the show and one of the main reasons is just the lazy episodes that are just older episodes. These recent seasons have been doing that a lot and it's so dull. I mean there's a couple I find unique and good but with S9 and 10 at least every episode felt fresh whether it was good or bad.
