    Another interesting balanced story, no fevered rambling just a nicely told story giving multiple scenarios & leaving it to the viewer to draw their own conclusions .

      Horror writer H.P. Lovecraft once said, "The most merciful ... thing is the inability of the human mind to correlate its contents." Not just a spooky saying. A great truth. "We live on a placid island of ignorance," he went on to say, "in the midst of black seas of infinity, and it was not meant that we should voyage far."
      By sitting in the comfort of our homes or a peaceful cafe watching these spooky videos, we gain distance in the midst of conformation, and so help to keep it that way. No, all we are doing is reminding ourselves of the voyages we do not want to take. Some adventurers try, and very often, they die foolish deaths. Stay close to home and live your simple, happy life. Whether rich or poor, it is what is best. Bad enough to gain the world and lose your soul. Worse yet to try to gain the world and lose your body to the devouring forces which surround us. Beasts and tiny predators alike. The sucking muck and the waters still or raging. All the hazards of the great wild. Even the hazards of the night right in your own neighborhood or town. No, the infinite is not meant for us.

    If you turn on AutoPlay and doze off, your brain will still process the voice and the stories. You can have some pretty fucked up dreams and memory flashbacks. When you wake up, you can realize how powerful the subconscious truly is. Kinda scary too...

      Yes . Though very weird , the most plausible is probably the true account . England has it share of brutal robbers and murderers , as their history attests , and the man must have ran afoul of some bad folk . The weird parts are merely strange coincidences :
      How hard did the "scientific community " band together to test the "strange" gel , in some random murder ?
      How sure are accounts of state of clothes and no footprints in coal ? If two men dragged him up by the armpits , he wouldn't have got too dirty , and if hurriedly dressing a corpse for disposal one would not be to particular of buttons and laces .
      I'm imagining lumpy coal bits ... if you walk up and walk down how "disturbed " would the jumble of bits look ? If you fanned the marks with your hands on way down , especially, it would be nearly indiscernable .
      Are some weird points , doubtless, but can't just jump too UFOs , an as yet unproven quantity , as the answer . Often the truth is stranger than fiction .

    It was stated in the beginning that he and his wife moved from Poland in 1960 to the UK.
    Could there be some possible Soviet involvement? It would be interesting to know what his job was in Poland. Maybe he was running from someone? KGB perhaps? Just a theory is all. I usually try to figure out some plausible explanation before blaming ET's...those little buggers get blamed for everything!

    • @johnnolan33177

      Thats probably close to the truth. Sorry this turned out so long LOL. Look into the Alan Godfrey abduction. He was the cop who was called on to this mans death site. I have it downloaded but there are numerous Alan Godfrey stories on here. Him and Adamski are linked. One abducted, one probably abducted and brought back dead by mistake. I say mistake because of the ointment, and the fact he wasnt mutilated or injured at all. Like Travis Walton now says, He felt they were trying to save his life, if you listen to his story, its incredible, his coworkers were looking at murder charges because their story was so crazy, they were driving home from work, 7 of them, they see a light, get close, see what it is a UFO. Witnessed Travis walk under the UFO and a beam of light hit him and threw him 10-20 ft in the air. They flee, and stop. Realize they gotta go back, Travis is gone. 5 days go by, they got 6 witnesses to it, cops are trying to get them to confess to murder. 5 days later, travis shows up, on the ground looks up, the ufo is above him. After they see hes OK they leave he said it was a star in seconds. He goes to a phone, calls his brother, and he comes to get him. Travis gets in the car thinking its the same night, his brother says Travis feel your face! He had a beard. He tells his story to the cops which everyone thinks was crazy, but 7 people 6 witnesses, all passed polygraphs, he woke up on the UFO and seen 3 "creatures" He had an artist do a lot of work fo him, anyway he thought they was drs. He picks up an instument and acts like hes gonna hit one, they back off, walk out, he tries to flee,finds a chair with a star map hologram 3d type thing when he moved the chair, the entire star pattern moved in unison, a human walks in, with a kind of glass mask like an astronaut helmet He grabs travis takes to a few more humans and they put a mask on him and he remembers nothing,until he woke up on the ground, theres more. Well look up a speech of his, hear it from his mouth, not other youtubers trying to make a buck, half of it is half assed anyway.

    About the burn marks found on Mr Adamski’s neck and shoulders: It is worthy of note that Mr Adamski had been attending an acupuncture clinic to treat his aches and pains. Part of his treatment involved bamboo tubes and burning cotton balls (to induce a suction on the skin?). It is possible the burns were caused by this treatment. Also, the mysterious substance found on the burns was not tested in a lab. The coroner didn’t know what it was, but no chemical analysis was carried out, as it was determined the substance was unlikely to have contributed to the death of Mr Adamski.

      Just curious (I don't know!) but how do you know that the ointment wasn't analyzed? I've read several items about this case and never came across that info other than "it was an unknown substance." Also, cupping (i.e. the burning treatment you mention) is usually done of broad skin areas (chest, back) rather than on curving tissue like shoulders, arms for obvious reasons.

    Two possibilities jump out:
    1. He was involved in criminal activity, during which time he was injured and later died (maybe during a heist, processing drugs, idk). After which his criminal associates dumped his body, not wanting to go through the legitimate avenues for obvious reasons.
    2. Something or someone came back from his past and bit him. What exactly can’t be known with the little info given. What did he do for a living? What did he do in Poland? What was he doing during the war? You catch my drift..

    I worked for WYP for over a decade, and the cold case files were asked from time to time, to be reloaded on the major enquiry teams oracle database. The old cases were on tape and had to be removed from fire safe, before being loaded onto the solaris servers. Having reload many different unsolved cases over the course of my employment, the Adamski tapes were the only ones missing from the safe, and unable to obtain, anywhere! We were also told that all the paper work (used prior to electronic computer systems) was also missing.

    Questions: What did he do in Poland before he and his wife crossed the Iron Curtain? If he was fleeing Cold War Poland, that might explain some things. And when they said they could not identify the gel substance, what does that mean? Like, they put it through a gas chromatograph and couldn't identify ANY of the chemicals or elements that is contained? Or they just had never seen something that was that particular combination of chemicals before. There's a big difference there. Why would kidnappers OR aliens allow him to shave? The autopsy would have revealed stomach contents, and even if he did not eat on the day of his death, there should still be food matter in his digestive tract for 24 hours or more after he ate it; what did he eat? Fish N' Chips? Space Nutri-paste? That information would have come up in the autopsy, was it not released to the public? As presented, it's a very mysterious story, but not enough information to rule out a half assed investigation; at least in this video.

  • @runlarryrun77
    @runlarryrun77 6 ปีที่แล้ว +10

    Great vid. I remember reading about this case years ago in a "dictionary of the unexplained" type book but had forgotten about it. To begin with when watching the vid I was thinking that he was some kind of defector as moving across the Iron Curtain was far from easy. However the latter part of the vid suggests he had extended family in the UK, which would given him a far more mundane reason for moving & have made it far easier for him to settle there from a legal pov. So once you discount the possibility of him being a defector & having been murdered by the Soviet secret services because of espionage... Who knows. Beats me. This is one of the ones that really does make you wonder "aliens...?"

  • @nepalichoro3431
    @nepalichoro3431 5 ปีที่แล้ว +24

    Given the timelines and basis, it can be speculate as,
    He was kidnapped, hold captive for several days. During the torture, (something to do with burns) he could not bear the pain which lead to death(heart/autopsy). He might have been burned multiple times leading to that instance.
    Then kidnappers cleaned his body to remove any possibility of leading it to them.
    My presumption, there were at least 2-3 people involved. They had key to the gate or had access to it.
    His body was carefully dumped and positioned on top of coals and while retracting their footprints/footsteps and erasing it. Since there was no any dragged marks, his body was carried by at least 2 people.
    Also, that jelly like substance was something they must have prepared and used on him to clam him down during their tortures.
    His body was left there on purpose since there were rumours of ghosts/Aliens and UFOS at that time and people would believe that kind of shit easily.

    • @mickm5097
      @mickm5097 5 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      The UFO stuff is very, very far fetched. The problem w the torture theory is that he was clean and had shaven fairly recently, which is not something a torturer would be likely to allow a captive to do. Also, what torture? Not indications of major bruises, no broken bones, no abrasions, just 2 relatively small burns on his neck? That's not what an angry torturous person would do in a rage. That was clearly small and incidental, some accident that was later treated. I would guess someone in the family knew something that would have shed more light on this, but it sounds like Adamski was treated with some courtesy wherever he was.

    • @juicygoldengrapes
      @juicygoldengrapes 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Yes, he was held captive and eventually tortured but his death was unintended I believe. He was well fed and allowed to shave and bathe. Things turned nasty when he refused to cooperate. A coal miner dumped on a coal heap, their was more than one person involved definately. My two cents...

    If I was a betting man I say he saw something he wasn't supposed to see either walking to work or at work. Then he was kidnapped to see if he could be silenced. He was taken care for ( which would explain eating well and the lack of a stuble) up until he had the heart attack. He was then dumped hoping his body would be crushed under the coal and his kidnappers covered their tracks. Which leaves me to wonder what was going on in that coal mine.

      However, you have to understand its been speculated some aliens don't have feel/emotions/empathy.
      If for whatever purpose they conduct abductions; being alive seems to be prevalent.
      Of course a sudden over reaction by an abductee (heart attack) renders the patient? Useless to them - this the abrupt treatment.
      Plus aliens have different physiological differences to humans - for one there hands are (alledgy) larger longer digits .
      I don't see it being that much of a stretch aliens having a hard time doing up laces/belt?
      The missing wallet is red herring.
      Just to divert attention.

    weird re-clothing is a "symptom" David Paulides talks about in his missing people cases. When bodies are found, with his cases, often the clothing is all wrongly put on, sometimes its not even the victim's clothes. And in his cases, the bodies often turn up in weird, out of the way places - or they suddenly turn up in places people searching for the victims could not possibly have missed them. Poor bugger! Anyways, love the show, got some good ones here.

      Susan Griffiths It's a well known (but bizarre) symptom of hypothermia to strip off clothing, check out "paradoxical undressing".
      Also, in a survival situation it would make sense to do things that might seem wierd with clothes- like tying a shirt around your foot for blisters, or pants around your head to block some of the sun. No one plans to get lost, so you're forced to use what you have with you for as much as you can.

    A lot of this can be answered simply by the fact that it was 1980. Crime labs weren't advanced at all, they didn't even have DNA testing yet. Bad detective work could explain many other aspects which was and still remains to be a problem to this day. Never discount the irrational mind of a jealous lover either. The husband with the retraining order could easily have decided Adamski was either having an affair with his ex-wife or simply mad he was supplying her with protection from him. Torture gone wrong, heart attack, outdated science can't identify the "ointment", dump him in a bizarre spot to leave people baffled which worked so well we're still talking about it. Jumping to it being aliens is a wild leap and an example of why Occam's razor should be applied until nothing else remains. I cut hair for a living and was able to posit a reasonable possibility so I'm sure the truth is even more simple than my example but is somehow being overlooked.

  • @Tekrothebountyhunter
    @Tekrothebountyhunter 5 ปีที่แล้ว +11

    I wonder if the supposed lack of trace evidence and the inability to identify the gel was in some part caused by poor forensics? This was 1980 in a rural area after all; the local police department and crime scene investigators probably didn't have an ideal amount of technologies and techniques to work with. It's possible there may have been something at the scene of the crime the police missed that could have helped explain what happened to Adamski.

    • @j.murphy4884
      @j.murphy4884 5 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Yeah. People jump to "the lab couldn't identify the gel, therefore aliens" but the truth is that unlike what watching CSI might have you believe, the forensic lab is not infallible. Forensics were still pretty primitive in 1980 compared to now, and this case likely wasn't a priority at the time.
      There are two rational explanations for Adamski's injuries:
      1. Adamski was tortured, possibly by a party to the family feud, as members of his family maintain. Or (speculation) it might have had something to do with the mines. Adamski was a coal miner by trade, he was from a communist country, and there was a lot of industrial action and social unrest over the decline in coal mining in the UK at that time. He could have been caught up in some kind of labor dispute gone violent.
      2. Adamski was apparently undergoing an acupuncture treatment that involved burning balls of material being pushed onto his skin. One such treatment could have gone wrong, thus explaining the burns and the missing shirt.
      Either way, the missing watch and wallet are a big smoking gun that points to a criminal culprit. Missing valuables points to a greed motive.

    I wonder why no one considers the Polish secret service behind it? The Cold War is not so long ago - and Poland was a communist dictatorship when he, as you put it, "relocated" (i. e. fled) to the UK. In my opinion, everything points in the direction of a secret service - the fact, that he was dumped at a place where he would soon be found, so his death could be a warning to other people who fled. The fact, that he had burns (from torture maybe). The fact, that he was hastily dressed, so he was during his absence obviously undressed to humiliate him. And so on.

    Dumping the body on a coal pile might seem odd. Yet we should consider that the culprit or culprits may have wanted it to be found. Maybe guilt over an accidental killing. Maybe a warning to others. Or maybe they wanted to avoid a drawn out missing persons investigation that could point to criminal activities. The man's watch and wallet was missing, to me that points to criminal involvement in the body dump.

    His body on the coal pile as well as alien activity can be explained in several ways: For one aliens have nothing to hide in the sense that they will not have to face legal repercussions. Therefore, placing his body in a locked area in broad daylight is not something they would be overly incentivized not to do. Also, his body being on the pile without any trace of climbing the pile indicates that it is not farfetched to say that he was placed there from above. Three, when you consider the area has been known to experience UFO activity that makes alien activity even more probable. Also, the gel like substance could not be explained by science indicating the substance may be from another world.

And in this case, maybe a prank went too far and the scientist greys had to scold their foolish interns, treating the man after an accident, but in vain. And after some deliberation, they tried to fix their mistake by returning the corpse. maybe one grey wanted to leave a note but the older ones decided against it... Battery acid would do a LOT more damage that second degree burns!! Sounds almost like a too hot and too long shower- especially on the back of the neck and upper shoulders. (And yes, you definitely CAN be burned by your own home shower, as crazy as it sounds.)
    Maybe he ran away with a man from work, had a heart attack, and his lover put him in a place he would be found right away- you wouldn't want a person you care about decomposing somewhere. They don't mention him having other injuries to his body, (maybe took a super hot shower while drinking or feeling guilty?) and was shaving, eating, showering, had clean clothes etc... In a small coal mining town in the 1980s it would probably be pretty hard for the other man to come out as gay, and there are similar cases in the BDSM community- the people weren't muderers, they just didn't want to be found out or have to explain themselves to the police.
    Just a random thought.

      Considering he was Polish, it's likely he was a catholic. Poland as it is, is one of the most religious nations amongst Christian countries in Europe, there alongside Ireland, Italy and so on. And that's today. He was born in 1920s so it's logical to think he was likely even more religious that nowadays Poles are.
      Now consider the fact that Christianity has for a long time been against homosexuality, one might guess that it's unlikely that he had a lover and a man at that.
      Instead, considering he came from Eastern Bloc, I see it more likely he got interrogated and possibly murdered by either MI6 or more likely KGB. I would exclude Polish intelligence however, since Peoples Republic of Poland, being an "allied" state of the USSR, would be unlikely to partake in such action on its own. Not to mention it was about as effective as modern day British cops are at stopping terrorists attacks (so not a lot)... KGB and MI6 on the other hand...

      Lol. How'd the body get there.? Within a 4 hour period there still should be tracks on the pile. Unless there was a conveyor belt above no one saw. I'm sure that's happened.

    1980 ...the same year my dad saw a ufo .
    Adamski lived only a few miles from where we lived at that time in Wakefield.

    If Zigmund Adamski was tortured, maybe the strange substance on his skin was conductive gel. And maybe they had to move him quickly so they dressed him badly because it is always harder to dress someone else rather than yourself. Then they just disposed of him. As for how they got on the premises, maybe they were already there from the earlier shift.

    "Modern science could not identify the gel." You mean that a couple of investigators in a rural part of England were unable to identify it. Chances are good that they lacked the equipment and training to make a thorough analysis of a gel they didn't recognize. It's not as though the full weight of modern science was brought to bear on the problem. It sounds dramatic, but modern science never had a good look at the gel.

      You're speculating... Sorry. It was actually analysed at a lab in Leeds.

      For all we know it could have been and the results were still the same . I am sure it has been it's too an interesting case . These cases are opened all the time and only reported on when something has changed
      The lab it was sent into was in Leeds which isn't rural or as backwards as people like to think

      @@BedtimeStoriesChannel you do say in the beginning that it was a "home lab" if i remember right.

    • @BedtimeStoriesChannel
      @BedtimeStoriesChannel  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@chrisragnar1 No, we said it was tested at a "home office" laboratory. The UK Home Office is one of the highest authorities regarding regulations on anything from housing, environmental compliance, welfare, health and, yes, even laboratory testing. In other words, the laboratory it was tested at was an official one, in compliance with strict regulations.

    "It's impossible to dismiss alien abduction". It's very possible. In fact, I just did. The man was tortured. The torturer did not, apparently, intend to actually kill him, probably just intimidate. Hence the ointment applied. However, Adamski's heart failed, leading to his death. In a panic he was hurriedly redressed and his body was dumped. Sometimes the most mundane explanations are far more interesting than "aliens did it!".

      If you watch the video, he had already had altercations within his family involving a woman in which he was threatened.

      Also doesn't explain the dumping of the body in broad daylight in a locked facility with zero trace of evidence around the body. YOU don't get to assume anything either, smart ass.

    • @PoochieCollins

      @mrargus : the man would identify his torturers once released, so if torture is what his captors did (and that looks likely), then they planned to murder him. If it was a family person behind it, though, why go through the risk of holding him captive, which significantly increases the chances of getting caught? Weird case.

      From what I read, the last person they could confirm saw him alive was a neighbor he greeted on his way to the store so it's likely he didn't make it there.
