There has been many a reporting from people having experienced huge time slips, it has been said these time slips can rob more than 60 years of people's lives. It's called a job.
I have time slip everytime I fall asleep. I usually skip 4-8 hours of time at once. Its so weird. I also sometimes have visions during this time, I think they are probably alternative universes.
@@pramitbanerjee dude that's nothing! there are times I'm staring st something, and I just slip into a dimension where I can do whatever the hell I want! it's so weird and also alternate universe like....
Hi Darren jones I am you from a different dimension I have been trying to find you . We I mean you too are going to die u need to run get away from her
I actually had this happen to me once.... and have my whole family to verify. One morning, I got up early (as usual) for an early morning class. My high school in Minnesota was about 20 minutes away and had STRICT parking rules (a parking pass was $300 and you HAD to register with another student. A sort of... forced carpool arrangement). We were about an hour outside Minneapolis in a town called Excelsior, and our school was on the same route as it would take to get to the city. My sister and I got in the car and I called my dad to finish a conversation we were having over breakfast. We got on the main road, and five minutes later..... we were in Downtown Minneapolis. I told paused and pulled over. I told my dad I didn't know what had happened and he didn't believe me until I called over video chat and he saw it for himself. My sister and I were late for school just day because we had to drive 45 minutes BACK to school.... having made an hour long journey in just 5 minutes. My dad had to excuse our tardies and everything. To this day I have NO explanation for what happened. The clocks were correct, and working perfectly (across 3 phones, a car, and our clocks at home my dad was looking at). We were on the phone the whole car ride and all knew exactly how 'long' we had been talking, which was backed up by our clocks. We left the house, and 5 minutes later we were an hours drive away. It was one of the weirdest things that's ever happened to me.
Mate I believe ya this kinda happened to me too and it's more common than u think I made a 1.5 hours long journey in 12 minutes i was using Google maps and it stopped working and when it came back on i was at my destination and it felt like I was out of place looking outside my car
I've had a couple similar experiences. I was walking to the part of town in Springfield, Mo. Where the motels are, and somehow, ended up way on the OPPOSITE side of town!
For decades this tale was popular among members of Europe’s paranormal research community, and it was generally accepted as true-an example of a genuine mystery-until 2005 when researcher Chris Aubeck investigated its history. Aubeck discovered that the tale had begun life as a science-fiction story penned by Jack Finney and published in a 1951 anthology. Two years later a writer named Ralph Holland reprinted the story in a booklet, but he did so without permission and removed all indication that the story was fiction. Holland was a member of a group called Borderland that was committed to promoting belief in the existence of a ‘fourth dimension.' The Fentz story, when presented as fact, ably served this agenda. Through Holland’s booklet, the tale of the accidental time traveler made its way to Europe, where it soon took root and circulated for decades within the European paranormal research community.
In the early 70’s while attending elementary school, my class was returning from the auditorium, walking along the main hallway in single file along one side of the hall. I remember looking through the window of each classroom door I passed and seeing other students at their desks. I was confused and bewildered by what I saw for the split second it took to walk by one of those windows. The room, furnishings and students in their garments all appeared to be of the 1920’s. One student was looking directly at me. I remember it as vividly today.
I can personally attest to the legitimacy of time slips, I personally 'fell' into the 1760's and was entirely baffled by why everyone in the pub was dressed in 'old time fancy dress' (at the time I assumed a folk gig!) and like you, I caught the eye of one person and was mildly alarmed at his attitude towards me, one of fear and confusion. I later confirmed the aprox date while chatting to vicar about his vicarage, I was able to accurately describe the previous vicarage which had burned down over a century before and later found parish records dating the 'pub' as an alehouse last registered in the 1760's!! The whole incident lasted a few minutes and to this day it is a more vivid memory that seeing my first son born!!
@@freemanjackmsiradio whoa I always wondered what it would be like to go back in time to the 1700s or something lol kinda scary to think about tho cuz they would probably try to kill me out of fear
@@freemanjackmsiradio wow thanks for sharing. So, someone noticed you were there and they probably noticed your clothes, hair etc not being the same as them and they probably freaked out too? What did u you in those minutes? Quite interesting.
@@malenyluna5275 I was just walking up the road outside the cottage i had just 'left'. I didn't remember leaving and i was walking the wrong way to be going home but it was so real, so immersive I had no idea it wasn't 'now'. There were noticeable changes but the surroundings were so familiar I even thought the cobbled street was something the council must have done and i had just not noticed them tearing up the tarmac!! It only lasted a few minutes at most, enough for me to 'walk' the 100 or so yards to just past the vicarage.
@@freemanjackmsiradio That was a form of manipulating your perceptions. You thought that you fell into the 1760's but in reality it was a mental type theater scenario which was set up in order to deceive you into believing that you traveled back in time. It was definitely demonic in nature.
I hade something happening to me as a kid in Sweden back in the 80s. One Day i skipped school and was walking in the Woods. It was wintertime and snow everywere. I got lost but saw a hill. Thought i go up the hill to get a better view were i was. I climd the hill to look at the other side. And to my amazment what i saw was a Summer landscape. What was suppose to be roads and houses were just farmland ,horses and barns. And everything lookt like it was hundred years ago. I turn my head to look back were i came from and it is the Forest and snow. Turn back to look at the farmland and all was there were houses, roads and snow. Everything had turn back to reality. I swear this happen to me. Sorry for my English
That was a Time slip. Thanks for reporting it. I will add it to my collection of time slips. Haha. Oh, people who experience a time slip often report getting lost, that is common.
@@Irina-zr5bb I can't imagine that it would be all that pleasant. But it would be interesting to experience it and than go back to 2019 and appreciate the things that we do have.
Just Imagine dissapearing in 1939 in Germany & appearing in 2020 - could you tell the difference ? except the Nazi's arent in their designer Hugo Boss outfits.
Sounds like the work of demons. Demons impersonate humans. They get rid of them mysteriously and then another demon impersonates the actual person that they eliminated. They can impersonate humans by way of knowing us from the time we are born and then they utilize their shapeshifting abilities in order to fool those people who aren't aware of what the Bible says about these demonic entities. See Ephesians 6:12.
It’s so refreshing to see a channel include the debunks as well. So many channels try to peddle everything as real and never seem to mention all the information they have gathered. Great channel. Thank you for all of the hard work 🙏🏼
I think what I love most about this channel is how the stories are beautifully and clearly told without being sensationalised. I like how the narrator discusses loads of different theories and angles and lets us come to our own conclusions instead of forcing an angle on us like most other shows. As a history student I find your approach insanely satisfying, well done!
If there is a letter , i , on the date of a painting listed as 1395, do we lose one thousand years? Is that a painting of 395? It's a interesting thing to look in to.
True story: my late grandfather lived most of his life in Portugal, except for a period where he went to live and work in Toronto - Canada, near a town called Lourinhã (today very famous for dinosaur findings), but still a little far, up on the hills that sorround the town. One day he had to come down to town for some matters (to buy some products or whatever, i no longer remember) and in those days the roads were no good and by foot was the only option available. It took him a while, but he managed to reach Lourinhã, where he went about his business. He had lived around all his life, so he knew all of town very well. But a fog suddenly appeared out of nowhere, sorrounding him, and for a moment confusing him. Then the fog cleared away as fast as it had come, but... he no longer could recognize the place he was in. He said that the street he found himself on couldn't be a street of Lourinhã, as he knew the place like the palm of his hand and yet he had no recollection of ever being there. Furthermore, he made a claim that i never understood, to this day: he simply stated that the windows of the stores and shops around the street were filled with... amazing things, beautiful things that he couldn't describe!! (he never really told what those things were - jewels, gold?? What exactly could it be, in order to leave him in awe?). Then, he found a woman crossing the street, and he approached her, asking her if she knew the direction towards Matas, which was the name of the village on the hills from where he came. She said she knew very well, and pointed her finger towards some direction. He thanked the woman and followed the direction she had pointed... until he looked around and, once again, he was back in the Lourinhã he had always known. He went home, not sure of what really happened there. Many times did he come to Lourinhã again, but never again did he find that bizarre street or the shop windows with "amazing things". He passed away some years ago, so i guess i'll never find out what exactly was he talking about. But, to this day, my mother retells this story many times, and i always hear it with the same sense of wonder as the first time.
The last few generations have really dropped the ball when it comes to picking the brains of our elders and hearing their odd stories (and normal ones). They didn’t go around talking about things as openly as we do today and require asking and genuine curiousity...they love it when we actually listen. How many stories have been lost to history?? Anyway, good story....see how it has stuck with you for life
Jimmy David, whether mistakenly written, or embellished, your grandfather’s story is contradictory in that you say he well knew the Canadian town as “He had lived around all his life, so he knew all of town very well.”. This contradicts the beginning of the story where you wrote that he “lived most of his life in Portugal”. Not trying to make a big deal of it, but when I find these sorts of things in stories, I tend to focus in on them and must point them out.
>Be me >Suicidal >Decide to play epic prank >Spend months in preparation gathering old-timey stuff >Steal identity of missing man from 70 years ago >Make a big show in square, yell, then act confused >Yeet myself in front of a car and into the history books
Anyway, that was a STORY, a work of fiction. The guy is even the name of the character in the story. It's just the same story as the book. IOt's stupid, but people are so gullible, they won't even try and check anything...
Whether this story or any of you other stories are true or not. They are worth telling as folklore and entertainment regardless. And you do a great job of being non bias. presenting the stories with points to either side letting the listeners decide for themselves what they wanna believe. That point alone make your channel unique. Most other channels proclaim the wildest stories as absolutely FACT. Which is obviously not always correct. Your great narration, subtle sound effect, somber music, and awesome illustrations. Make this channel hands down the best of its kind. Great work! Keep em coming.
I had $9000 in my pocket a week or two ago. It happens. And this was back during the time when cash was the only thing you could pay with. Having $70 in his pocket is one of the more believable parts of the story.
Between 1880 and 1951 the inflation rate did not increase as much as the period thereafter. In 1951 that $70 would have been worth $178. In 2019 it would be equivalent to $1,761.
I'm real eager to pull off a Taured style prank on a friend. Just close off a section of airport where they land, have a few actors pose as security, confused about this country called "United States" that your friend claims to come from. Have a mocked-up globe with different countries, A momentary lapse to another dimension! Never tell them you believe them afterwards. Let them wonder...
I really like that you actually call the story into question and leave it upto the viewer to judge whether it could or couldn't be real. That gives this channel a lot of credibility in my book. Keep up the good work.
Can you imagine disappearing and not showing up for 75 years? Flight of the Navigator has a boy gone for fours hours, but to his family he had been missing eight years. Seventy five years? Wow.
So far, really enjoying this channel that I came across yesterday. Fascinating stories and narration. Excellent artwork and use of it for highlighting the stories. Impressive. Thank you!
Rudolph Fentz (also spelled as Rudolf Fenz) is the focal character of "I'm Scared", a 1952 science fiction short story by Jack Finney, which was later reported as an urban legend as if the events had truly happened.
The detail that the people in the streets of New York suddenly stopped when he appeared would mean that many would still remember that incident. Apparently this didn't happen.
@@tashmoobabe8704 People stop in NY? Really? Not in 1951 not now. Get hit by a car wearing a hired theme costume they step right over you and carry on w/ their daily lives haha :))
I've watched a couple of these videos, and I have to say I'm hooked. The mood of the videos, and his voice just resonate spooky vibes which just make the stories all the more enjoyable for me. This channel has a new subscriber. Hope to see more great stories in the future!
Stumbled upon this channel today. B & W impressionistic sketchings, narration, stories, and onscreen text make a uniquely captivating cocktail that's easy to watch. I find myself reading the text along with the narration which somehow adds something to the story (what, I don't know, but it adds something). Keep the style here. And don't change a thing. There's something really catchy about this style. The style feels out of date, but I love it. More please...
This happened in Dominican Republic in the early 80s. I still remember it as if it was yesterday. When I was 7 years old, me, my cousin and a friend of ours had gone into the park just across the street from my house to hunt for grasshoppers. The park was the size of a city block, much like many parks here is the US, but it didn't have any swing sets, or games. At that time it was just grass and hills. We caught grasshoppers for a while and then decided to go home, but for several minutes we couldn't find our way out of the park. It was like we were going in circles. So we decided to climb one of the hills in order to get our bearings and when we did, to our utter shock and dismay, where there should have been houses, street lamps, paved streets and vendors were instead trees, trees all around us and not a person in sight. I remember that we got scared. We started crying and we decided to make our way towards the trees cause they had to lead somewhere. So, as we made our way towards the trees I decided to climb another hill and this time the houses, the street lamps, the paved streets were back. But, while the sun was just setting the lights were on indicating that at that time was at least 6:30-7:00 pm. It was weird cause we hadn't felt time go by. We finally made our way out of the park and into our homes and were instantly berated by the adults who told us that they had been looking for us for hours. Moreover, they said that they went to the park and shouted for us, and looked everywhere and couldn't find us. No one believed our account, but it was many years later, when the park was turned into a sports complex that I dared to go into it again. Till this day I believe we traveled into the past.
You see, he was from the 1870s so he couldn't possibly know that he should leap out of the way of the giant metal things hurtling toward him in the middle of the street. Human reflexes weren't developed until 1945. Most people in the 1800s were run over by horses pulling carts and wagons.
Jerzey so you would not leap out of the way of a train .horse and cart .stage coach .your logic makes no sense of course you would move out of the way of a oncoming thing of any description .
Jerzey people still get run over today because there not fast enough .shock .or just don't see or hear an on coming car and there people who know what a car is .get a grip think before you open your mouth and come out with rubbish that makes no sense .
W-what? Where am I? Last thing I remember I was watching Looney Toons and looking at a Berenstein Bears book, thinking about how tragic it was Nelson Mandela died in prison so many years ago..............
We believe this is based on a short story and that it's not true. However, that makes no difference to us. A spooky story is a spooky story and we'll tell it in any case.
One of my most vivid dreams was like this. I woke up in what my mind was 500yrs into the future. Everything was future like, the buildings were slick and dark. Everything had a black or dark grey shade to them, like the buildings, trains, cars, roads. Also no trash visible. It just looked like every square inch was cleaned with a toothbrush. It was a short dream, after wandering for just a handful of minutes I realized I stood out like a sore thumb because I seemed to be the only one outside and walking. The streets were busy but only by cars & outdoor subways. I became a fugitive and felt I was being chased, after just a min or two of running away from what was following me I woke up. It was such a scary and beautiful dream.
That was a veritable smorgasbord of information , I was born in 1885 London and the very same befell my unfortunate self. I will muse this story during my morning perambulation. Capital story sir!
There is a park in front of the house that I grew up in. When I was 7 I went to play there with my cousin and a friend of ours. We were all around the same age. At some point we wanted to go home, but couldn't. The entire park had changed its landscape. Where there sould have been roads was nothing but forest and hills. We wandered for hours, desperate to get back home. Eventually I climbed a hill and was amazed to find that the landscape of the park had reverted back to what we knew. All the houses and roads were where they should have been, but weren't a moment before. We made it home to find out that our parents had spent hours looking for us at that same park. They demanded to know where we had been, and no one believed the story of three seven year olds when we said that the park had changed its landscape and we had spent hours lost in a forest that we had never seen.
Kose Avase me too, and the title. It particularly works well or me because that’s when I listen to these videos. Before bed. And the black and white imagery and stuff work perfect with it. It’s a great channel and I love the presentation and stuff as well (I probably already said that lol but it’s true. Great channel!!’
The first time I read this story it was recounted by Robert Heinlein, a famous sci-fi author from that time period and beyond. He also stated at another time, "Authors have no problem filing the serial numbers off a story and using those stories for themselves", or words to that effect. I think this is the most likely explanation.
Loving this channel!! I think this is one of those urban legend stories that has just the right amount of believability on its surface, but when scrutinized sort of falls apart.
Glad I came across this doc. I read some of the public coments, perplexed I gave this matter some serious thought, but decided this is a long anticipated opportunity to dump some unwanted baggage, I needed to get this off my chest. It took place in 2001, I was a ballad singing troubadour 50 miles north of Virginia USA. It was a bitter cold, damp, freezing fog kinda night, totally still and about 10 degrees below, this was a very Civil war sorta town, steeped in tradition of legends and hero's, trials, executions and reprieves, like the past was still hanging in the air, the sounds of the hammer on the anvil, the blast of the musket still reverberated into the present. I was waiting for a train to go and play at the music hall 100 miles down the line in the next town. At the old railway Station I was huddled beneath the canopy of a kiosk which sold fresh hot coffee, sandwiches, Cigarettes and beer, it was past midnight, the kiosk was closed and I had six hours to wait for the next train. I walked around in a little circle and smoked a cigarette like you in that kinda cold, I'd been noticing how everything appeared to be in black, grey and pale white, and then it happened, I finished the cigarette and put it out in the snow with my boot, then, it felt strangely comfortable, Warm and dry, as if the season had suddenly switched to summertime, and it no longer seemed to be midnight, felt like very early morning or late dusk but definitely summer time, things appeared Warm brown and pale yellow, the station looked mysteriously brand new, I mean it was a grimy old Beat up, dump of a place but somehow it seemed Brand new, I didn't hear him approach but I turned and saw a young man in badly fitting, out of date torn and tattered clothing, I felt that I had eye con- -tacted him but he walked on by, he appeared to be unaware of my presence, he turned the corner and disappeared from sight, I tried to follow him but I skidded on the ice, bewildered, I looked back at the kiosk, my guitar, my back pack covered in snow, the experience only seemed to have lasted about 5 minutes, but the next thing I knew that train was pulling into the station and I climbed aboard, having lost track of 5 and a half almost 6 hours. I have never mentioned this to anyone at all throughout these years until now, I was in denial. Guitar Dave.
Captivating illustrations, thought provoking mysteries, brilliantly brought together, perfectly voiced narrator... CAN'T STOP LISTENING!! KEEP UP THE GENIUS WORK MY FRIEND!!! ITS NOT EVERY DAY U HEAR STORIES THAT RAISE THE BAR OF MYSTERIOUS TRUE STORY TELLING!!!!! 💪💪💪💪💪💪
wonderful! my compliments to the artist, and to your growing channel. if you'd ever like some artwork done in a traditional comic book style, message me! but i don't want to step on any toes.
I *like* this channel, but I'd graduate to *loving* it if you were to make outright fables, hoaxes, and creepypasta a separate and clearly labled video series from ones describing real events like Flight 19 and so on. The former are a waste of time for "real life" mystery enthusiasts like myself.
Well, that's the thing. For some of these, it takes the better part of ten minutes to get to the "Oh, by the way, this is just some random yarn" bit, that's not really ideal. Up front disclosure keeps everyone happy.
I suppose that's fair. But Rudolph Fentz is pretty famous as a piece of science fiction. I will take your feedback on board. Also, I would advise against watching the Carl Pruitt episode, Olivia Mabel and possibly Ourang Medan (but that last one is still a bit of an unknown whether it was an urban legend or not).
This story reminds me of the Buster Keaton episode of the Twilight Zone "Once Upon a Time" 1961. It was written by Richard Matheson. I wonder if he had heard of the Rudolph Fentz story or if the story came about as a result of his writings?
My personal account: Highway going through mountains in West Virginia on a college visit trip with the family, probably 2009 or 2010. Car radios tend to get a bad signal in the mountains, but ours cut to static on every station. Flipping through the stations, one of them gradually became clearer, but still static-y. It was someone reporting the news about president Nixon sending more troops to Vietnam. After the update, it talked about a "new album" by the Beatles and started playing (I'm _pretty_ sure it was Get Back, after checking their discography). My parents joked that we must be in the Twilight Zone, and I panicked after pointing out the car clock hadn't changed. We all watched it and counted out the seconds, and eventually it did change, but it was closer to like, 120 seconds per minute. We didn't see other cars on the road until a couple of songs had played and the radio went back to static, then back to normal local stations.
I love the way you articulate, you have me hooked on every word. Your voice reminds me of a modern B.B.C voice (no I'm not that old, I just love old eitiquet), I look forward to many more bed time stories from you. x
You mean there's no issue of Colliers magazine in existence for that week? That's hard to believe. It was a mass circulation magazine selling millions of copies. Must be in various archives.
There is an urban legend in the Philippines: During the Spanish occupation, a civil guard in Manila fell asleep one night and woke up the next morning in Mexico City. He told the authorities what had happened. Nobody could explain how he could possibly travel across the world in one night when a galleon route typically lasted four months. He was eventually shipped back to Manila. The mystery of the Manila teleporter was never solved.
I read about this case and yes what your saying is true. Keep in mind that demonic entities can teleport people. This is what probably took place and if that is not the answer then it was just an urban legend. They played a trick on that poor individual. Angels of God don't do that sort of thing. Jacques Vallee the French UFO investigator talks about this type of deceptive behavior or manipulation of the senses by way of these entities in his book Passport to Magonia.
andalusianguitarist oh dear, we have a witch burner here. No evidence so it must be a demon or as said in past a witch in league with demons. Please tell me you are not serious about your comment
This reminds me of something called the Versailles time slip, where two women in 1901 somehow found themselves in 1789, during the French Revolution, near the Palace of Versailles. Luckily, they were able to get back to 1901 without getting beheaded.
" The magazine sourced the story to the book published in 1953, A Voice from the Gallery by Ralph M. Holland. Aubeck believed the origin of the fictional story had been found. In August 2001, after Aubeck had published his research in the Akron Beacon Journal, Pastor George Murphy contacted him to explain that the original source was older still. Ralph M. Holland had taken the story about Rudolph Fentz completely from either a 1952 Robert Heinlein science fiction anthology, entitled Tomorrow, the Stars, or the Collier's magazine from 15 September 1951."
I believe in time slips, I remember an English couple and friends visiting France and they came across a local Inn. They booked rooms and noticed there was no windows and the few people they saw were dressed in late 1800's while they were there a policeman walked in and he was dressed very late 19.Century . When they left they said they'd visit again and when they did they got to the spot there was ruins and one was an Inn and a police station late 1880's-early1890's. Another English couple were driving back home and went through some town ,the cars were all 70's and people dressed 70's, when they went back it had changed and there was a notice with the towns name with " most clean town of 1976" This was on Michael Aspel's Strange but true.
Not long after watching the Doctor Who episode about the Silence, I got a really weird time-slip/kyros story that freaked me the frick out! For those who don't know, the Silence are creatures that you can only remember when you look at them - as soon as you look away, you entirely forget and lose that whole chunk of time in your memory. So I had an outdoor kitty named Rosie, since mom wouldn't allow pets inside, but she was allowed in what we called "the mud room" at the back of the house. Our back door from the kitchen, connected into the mud room, and if you looked to your left from there, you'd see the laundry room as well. Since I would feed Rosie in the mud room, I kept a container of plastic spoons for her wet food in a shelf built into the back wall of the laundry room for easy access - but since I was a messy teen I'd often reuse an old spoon for a couple days, and would leave them strewn about the mud room until I finally felt like cleaning them up. On this particular day, I grabbed a new can of wet food that I kept in the kitchen, holding it in my left hand (my hands and the layout are very important). I opened the back door of the kitchen with my right hand, closed it, then bent down to pick up the cat's bowl from the floor. A low dresser at the back of the mudroom where we kept our tools served as my little preparation table, so I set her bowl down on it, then used the tab to pull open the wet food can's top. Then took the spoon and- FREAKED OUT! Where the HECK! had this spoon come from!!?????!???? First off, there was no way I could have had a spoon in my hand even IF one had been nearby, because my hands had both been full - one with the bowl for the cat, the other with the can. Secondly, even if I had absently grabbed a spoon, ALL of the ones in the mud room were dirty (and on the floor - again, i was a messy teen, but i knew better than to leave dirty spoon on top of the low white dresser. the mud room was for wiping feet and stuff, with a naturally odd-colored tile for flooring, so i figured no one would mind a occasional cat food stain there). This spoon I was holding was CLEAN. The literal ONLY WAY I could have had a CLEAN SPOON in my hand was if I'd walked all the way back into the laundry room and grabbed one from the box. And I most certainly had not done that. . . This is not the only time something like this has happened to me, either, where I've skipped time, but it was absolutely the strangest and the least easy to shake off. The two other occasions were one time driving down the highway as I used to do weekly for about a year, I made a trip from my class in one city to my home city that took about an hour and fifteen... and that was because I sped. like... always. It should have taken me at least an hour and a half. There's a sign I notice that tells me I'm about halfway home. I got onto the highway and within 5 minutes suddenly saw that sign. It so weirded me out that I called my mom, who waived it off and said I had just driven absent-mindedly and just hadn't noticed the time. Not possible. I made it home that day in about 45 minutes. The third time my goddaughter and her mom were over. We make songs together sometimes. We were going to practice a song, and I needed to get something from the rear room where I kept my art supplies, film equipment, and keyboard. A good while back - maybe 6 months or a year previous to this particular day? - we'd done a comical music video where my friends dressed up in feathers and flamboyant outfits. I kept that material in a closed box, and I had no reason to go to that side or area of my art room. When I came back out to the living room with I think my music notebook, a colorful feather fell from my hair to my shoulder, and then onto the floor, while my guests watched. It had come from the outfits, tucked in a bag, stuffed in a box, that was closed in my art room.

I don't think Bedtime Stories usually presents any of these as straight up fact, it's more about the atmosphere and the story itself. Usually they're pretty good at going into all the holes in the stories as well, it's one of the reasons I respect the work this channel does.

It was one of the weirdest things that's ever happened to me.
i heard about at least two other people having experienced exactly the same thing on Gaiam tv
Mate I believe ya this kinda happened to me too and it's more common than u think I made a 1.5 hours long journey in 12 minutes i was using Google maps and it stopped working and when it came back on i was at my destination and it felt like I was out of place looking outside my car
There are testimonies of people being transported by God to be somewhere on time❤
Daylight savings time
I've had a couple similar experiences. I was walking to the part of town in Springfield, Mo. Where the motels are, and somehow, ended up way on the OPPOSITE side of town!
PSA: When you are suddenly transported into the future, remember to REMAIN CALM.
and look both ways
Not Easy...

Yea, so easy!
And don't forget your towel.
Still a really good story though it is fiction
All of that was mentioned in the video.

Maybe Rudolph Fentz didn't get back again like your grandfather because he died almost immediately after being transported/warped

@@charrua59 Please tell us.

Your great narration, subtle sound effect, somber music, and awesome illustrations. Make this channel hands down the best of its kind. Great work! Keep em coming.
$70 in 1880 is like a person carrying $1000 today. Odd amount of spending money to carry.
John Smith the time traveller didn’t exactly appear to be poor
Maybe the money self adjusted for inflation :)
John Smith
$1,678 to be exact. This amount is not an impossible amount to carry about. My husband frequently has around $2,000 on his person.

Stumbled upon this channel today. B & W impressionistic sketchings, narration, stories, and onscreen text make a uniquely captivating cocktail that's easy to watch. There's something really catchy about this style. The style feels out of date, but I love it. More please...
And his wife said to their children, "He said he was just going out to get a pack of cigarettes."
In the original story, he went on the walk to smoke a cigar, which his wife forbid him from smoking inside, as it stunk up the drapes.
Always worth going back to these older stories.

The first time I read this story it was recounted by Robert Heinlein, a famous sci-fi author from that time period and beyond.
It was a bitter cold, damp, freezing fog kinda night, totally still and about 10 degrees below, this was a very
Civil war sorta town, steeped in tradition of legends
and hero's, trials, executions and reprieves, like the past was still hanging in the air, the sounds of the hammer on the anvil, the blast of the musket still reverberated into the present. I was waiting for a train to go and play at the music hall 100 miles down the line in the next town. At the old railway
Station I was huddled beneath the canopy of a kiosk which sold fresh hot coffee, sandwiches,
Cigarettes and beer, it was past midnight, the kiosk was closed and I had six hours to wait for the next train. I walked around in a little circle and smoked a cigarette like you in that kinda cold, I'd been noticing how everything appeared to be in black, grey and pale white, and then it happened, I finished the cigarette and put it out in the snow with my boot, then, it felt strangely comfortable,
Warm and dry, as if the season had suddenly switched to summertime, and it no longer seemed to be midnight, felt like very early morning or late dusk but definitely summer time, things appeared
Warm brown and pale yellow, the station looked
mysteriously brand new, I mean it was a grimy old
Beat up, dump of a place but somehow it seemed
Brand new, I didn't hear him approach but I turned
and saw a young man in badly fitting, out of date
torn and tattered clothing, I felt that I had eye con-
-tacted him but he walked on by, he appeared to be unaware of my presence, he turned the corner and disappeared from sight, I tried to follow him but I skidded on the ice, bewildered, I looked back at the kiosk, my guitar, my back pack covered in snow, the experience only seemed to have lasted about 5
minutes, but the next thing I knew that train was pulling into the station and I climbed aboard, having lost track of 5 and a half almost 6 hours.
I have never mentioned this to anyone at all throughout these years until now, I was in denial.

This story did remind me of the Twilight Zone.
My personal account:
Highway going through mountains in West Virginia on a college visit trip with the family, probably 2009 or 2010.
Urban Legend apparently but good stuff all the same !!!!
Great way of presenting. Love "Bedtime Stories", awesome work ❤️
I love the way you articulate, you have me hooked on every word. Your voice reminds me of a modern B.B.C voice (no I'm not that old, I just love old eitiquet), I look forward to many more bed time stories from you. x
Big Black Cock voice??
I really appreciate your lack of bias and agenda, awareness of agendas and attention to detail and possibilities
You mean there's no issue of Colliers magazine in existence for that week? That's hard to believe. It was a mass circulation magazine selling millions of copies. Must be in various archives.
so good!!
Thanks!
Wonderful story!
I love your channel.
Cocaine is a hell of a drug! :)'
I heard of this story but I do not believe it.
Good Stories and Great Narration.
Every time I cut one, I enter a parallel reality for 30 seconds, perhaps a portal to the future
Edward Bliss, Whoah!!!
You funny, Edward.
The typewriter and rotor phone sound effects are a nice touch @ 4:30
Makes for a good story. Reckon it came from very old Sci Fi writer, and disproved years ago
Great yarn, love it
I believe in time slips, I remember an English couple and friends visiting France and they came across a local Inn.

Great video!! You should make another time slip video 👍🏻

This is a fictional short story by Jack Finney this is NOT FACT!!!
Did you watch the video? Asking for a friend...
8:30: 🤔
I don't think Bedtime Stories usually presents any of these as straight up fact, it's more about the atmosphere and the story itself. Usually they're pretty good at going into all the holes in the stories as well, it's one of the reasons I respect the work this channel does.
