    Any chance you guys are going to fabricate a lathe adaptor for your existing neck turning tool? Please?

    Help me understand how I would decide what cutter lead angle to get?

    • @kmshooting
      @kmshooting  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Scott, here are some bullet points on cutter angle:
      • Our “universal” 50° cutter can be used with any shoulder angle and some folks prefer a matched angle.
      • If you want to go with a matched angle - select the cutter that is larger than the shoulder angle, e.g.: get a 33° cutter for a 30° shoulder angle
      • The goal is to trim slightly into the neck-shoulder junction to reduce the chances of fireforming a donut
      • The larger angle ensures a cut deep enough before contacting the shoulder
      • The 50° cutter can cut the deepest, but take care not to cut too deep and thin-out the junction thinner than the neck wall thickness
      • Checkout the graphic for more info at the bottom of this link: kmshooting.com/product/spare-cutter-selector/

      Hey Brandon, intro music similarities are completely accidental. BTW, thanks for the lead on demoranch.

    Is okay to use imperial graphite dry lube?

    • @kmshooting
      @kmshooting  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey 372HGS, we recommend using a wet or wax lube for neck turning due to the rotating action of the cartridge on the pilot. Dry lube can typically be used with our expand mandrels as it's just a sliding on/off motion.
      Please send me an e-mail (sales@kmshooting.com) or give a call (616-399-7894) to discuss further.

    Looks like a very nicely machine group of over priced paperweights! Worst set up I ever seen price is probably ridiculous since you didn’t mention how much it cost

      Hey Pete, one man's trash is another man's treasure. Neck turning is beneficial to reduce fliers and improve consistency (velocity/pressure, accuracy/spread, etc.) - especially at longer ranges. ~Dave @ K&M
