Amazing! I felt something unlock within me as I was doing the stances. They felt so natural. Though it's still hard because I'm overweight. When I was doing them my body felt loose like I knew what I was doing. Hopefully I get to practice more and master the stances. Thank you for this! Some timestamps to help me and people out: 8:54 - Gong Bu = Bow Stance 9:50 - Ma Bu = Horse Stance 10:30 - Xu Bu = Empty Stance 11:43 - Ding Bu = T-Stance 12:12 - Xie Bu = Resting Stance 13:10 - Pu Bu = Crouching Stance Warm up and Warning down is a must!
Don't push too deep to early. Calling some of these postures "beginner" is a bit off. First day Tai Chi Chuan stepping would be Sink down, shift weight, empty foot, peel foot up, step out, check the area in which you are stepping, shift to, shift back, peel foot up and step back in. This man was displaying advanced postures. Drop stance isn't beginner Tai Chi...maybe week 5 or 6 but day one? Opening Step contains so much knowledge and needed work to do all these postures correctly. I'll post a video tomorrow.
I practice TAI CHI about 5 years when I was teenager time I went with my mom 5 mornings a week, now I am 62. I would love to come back and learn again thank you for your videos. God bless you. ❤
Sir on this lock down days can you please make step by step tutorial on mastering shaolin kung fu( like ep 1,ep 2etc). I would be very pleased with your effort Master.I would love to master your skills.
This is SO good. Thank you! I tried a few other videos and they just started out way too slow, to the point of being boring and frustrating. This was perfect. It jumps right in and gets to the point. While still explaining everything well enough for a complete beginner.
My acupuncturist told me I’d benefit from tai chi due to the health issues I’m having. This is such a great video to keep practicing with until I can find me a teacher in my area. I didn’t find it too hard at all. Very relaxing. Thank you so much for the video!

I’m in rehab and I started this training to get some peace of mind and to focus more on life. I love it!! I’m feeling so at ease right now (a bit hungry), but wow... thank you!!
I did it!!! I cleared out a bunch of space in my living room and did your class! I am so happy that I found your channel, thank you so much! I definitely can tell that my background in yoga has helped me so much with balance and moving through instead of bobbing up and down. I feel like I will be able to learn the basics pretty easily. Thank you again, it feels amazing to practice with you!

This young guy was awesome. I particular appreciated the end of the workout massage. Being unemployeed and not being able to pay for massages, this was a great alternative and I feel great. Looking forward to the next video.
You are so kind to speak English for the non-Chinese speaking. I'm sure you are more comfortable with your Putunghua! Great video for us, the beginner. We Chinese so proud of you. Thank You! 我很感激你的贡献!
This was the best !!! I felt really sick before doing this but right after I finished it all I felt like a whole new person thank you so much I will definitely keep doing this ! 🥰
This is just superb, I have been researching "how can i make my aura stronger?" for a while now, and I think this has helped. You ever tried - Fonebastian Unexpected Framework - (do a search on google ) ? It is an awesome exclusive guide for learning powerful methods to build your Chi energy without the normal expense. Ive heard some incredible things about it and my mate got amazing success with it.
Thank you Shi Fu! As a runner, it's nice to come across a tutorial for stance technique that is stimulating for the physical movement, but also simple enough to follow without getting lost. I will devote to continuing with these steps until I am ready to advance!
Outstanding my only Critique. Everyone on TH-cam shows movement, you have incredible control it is important that people see how you are able to do this. Jibengong stretching, conditioning and stances video, beginner, intermediate and advanced (I can remember holding Ma-Bu and Xu-but for a long time as a child and it’s paid off)And please explain Fa-jing and Dan-Tien it would help out people a lot. Other than that great video.
Thank you so much for the warm ups & tutorial! I love martial arts & took a Tang Soo Do class in college (Orange belt 8th gup😊). Now that I am older I try to exercise, but NOTHING holds my interest enough to continue! Yesterday it hit me to try Tai Chi to stay active & do what I love to do! ❤️😍❤️ I APPRECIATE IATE YOU FOR SHARING!🤗
I'm the exact shame... I hate cardio and exercising like gym and jogging but martial arts has always interest me. It truly is strong for the body and mind...
These are the best videos about Tai chi so far. I started today and intend to continue as long as you present us with your wisdom. Thank you very much Master Song!
I used to practice with a book, gonna follow your teachings. I miss the feeling of air flowing around my arms and body when I would practice. It’s indescribable.
O! My Gosh! I can't cope with all these incredible videos, appearing on my phone, just lately. You all do such good works. Helping so much people. Unless I'm loosing a leg, won't be seeing a doctor. Thank you. Thank you, one and all. 🥰
I'm currently stuck in the covid shelter in Shanghai and and a thought popped into my head - well, I can't do yoga here, but why not give tai chi a try. I've been seeing these amazing elderly people in the local parks practicing tai chi and I was always astonished by the beauty, flawlessness, and perfection of their moves, like water waves. And I tried today and it definitely is a new milestone for me, I loved it. It's very similar to yoga in a way. But different, here you practice more balance standing on your feet. And your explanations and tips for beginners are super helpful, cuz it's definitely hard to make it smooth. Hope you are safe and healthy! 谢谢,师傅🙏
I am always curious about Tai Chi and I saw a guy in the park today that moves gracefully and he told me to check your youtube video. So here I am 🙏🙏.Thank you for very clear direction of every move . ❤️ & gratitude 🙏
You are a wonderful teacher. All the stances were a bit difficult for me but with practice and consistency it will get easier. I am going to keep at it until I learn all the moves with the proper names. Thank you very much. I enjoyed this lesson and look forward to more. 😊
I am 31 years old. Somehow i got imbalance in walking problem during this lockdown. Paying a lot to doctors. Still didn't diagnosed what makes me to walk imbalanced. I keep thinking to try tai chi. @@MasterSongKungFu I know Bruce Lee did much to get so strong as he was...EATING RIGHT IS IMPORTANT.......so no junk foods.....just eat healthy foods...If we eat as our ancient ancestors did, we would do well......Bruce Lee did a lot of "juicing", also.... fresh veggie juices were his big thing ....plus all the intense daily working out he did....especially after he got severely injured, and had to work really really hard to get out of the wheelchair he was stuck in......It is all about continuous , consistent hard work, to "get back in shape", ever increasing, gently, slowly, as you are ready, the level of difficulty, if you have lost muscle tone, as I have, from just "sitting around" too much...I am an artist, so I spend a lot of time doing my artwork, painting, sculpture, drawing, etc, so, I tend to "sit" way too much...and then, I spend too much time "on the computer" too.....(bad)..so my whole body gets sore, painful, and feeling "tired"...In Zen, we are taught that there are "4 dignities of man", sitting, lying down, standing up, and walking....."Too much" of any one of these 4, and we become "out of balance"...We need all 4...in the right amounts, daily, nightly, to be "healthy".......I am 60 now, so I feel it more and more, as I get "older"......the damage I do to myself by "sitting" too much........The MAIN thing is, the "most important thing"....is to "move the body" as much as you can, to get stronger and more flexible....Going out...walking, and "running", (not "jogging"...but sprinting at high speed...like up hills etc....) out in Nature ...especially if you lucky enough to live by mountains, or hills, will help.....to get back in shape..You do not need a gym, or a lot of space even, to get in shape..Bodhidarma, spent years in a cave, up on the side a remote mountain cliff, to develop the animal forms, and gained a super-human strength, from his little cliff-side ledge he lived and practiced on.......You just need a little open space, determination, and put the time needed on working on yourself to get back in shape......Doing "push ups", by using the first 2 knuckles, is good, and then, at the same time, using the 5 outstretched fingers also..on a nice soft sandy or grassy surface...on the Earth........starting out slowly, with 3...4..5...then 10...15..then 20, as you get stronger, will help the arms and hand strength..."20" is a good number to stick with.....No need to do 50 or 100 push-ups.....too many gets you "injured"....People need advice about this kind of thing......because they just don't know where or how, to start....and many feel scared to even try , because it all looks "so impossible" to them, all the amazing Kung Fu seen in movies, etc.....So the people need guidance, in what they can really do ...to get them over the "fear of trying"......to get them to realize that there is much they can do, and as they go along, they become "more inspired" to push further, to expand their skills and abilities......to do what they thought was "impossible" for them.....
It's really late and I'm in bed unable to sleep yet again. After reading all...some of these comments, I just want to jump up and go try this right now. But...I won't 😢. It's definitely on my to-do list for tomorrow, though.
I feel in alignment when doing this for the first time. This was a great video, easy to follow, good pace. Excellent Master Song Kung Fu, new subscriber here
I have looked at the other videos on other channels and I concluded you are the most informative. I am way too old for any Kung Fu but for me Tai Chi would be a good choice. I did Shotokan years ago but I had to deal with a family health issue that came up. Later I did yoga but the stances got old. I am surprised my legs are still strong and I am still flexible. I will be watching and doing the video for a long time before moving on to part two. Thank you for teaching Tai Chi.

The five phases are wood (mu), fire (huo), earth (tu), metal (jin), and water (shui); these elements are regarded as dynamic, interdependent modes of the Universe's ongoing development - study before you 'pretend' to *be* - okay, Mr. Wade?
Thank you Master SOng. I learned tai chi way back in 2000 almost 20 years ago. I am still doing this but not as well as you. Keep up the good work it helps more practitioners of Tai CHi.

Kung fu is suitable for all body condition😊👍 you will become strong 💪

Believe the master also good at Kung Fu.
Thank you 😊
It's really late and I'm in bed unable to sleep yet again. After reading all...some of these comments, I just want to jump up and go try this right now. But...I won't 😢. It's definitely on my to-do list for tomorrow, though.
I feel in alignment when doing this for the first time. This was a great video, easy to follow, good pace. Excellent Master Song Kung Fu, new subscriber here
Thank you Nicole 😊🙏
Nice lesson. This quarantine is killing us, so Tai Chi looks like a great exercise and Zak seems like a proper trainer. Thank you
Glad you enjoy it 😊Thank you 😊 🙏
Tai Chi is about being as smooth as possible. It's not used in combat!

Of course it is used in combat! Tai Chi is a martial art!

I’m glad you enjoy it 😊
I have looked at the other videos on other channels and I concluded you are the most informative.
I'm surprised I am not the only one here that is trying to learn water bending😂
You are not 😄
no you're not
