... yeah because obviously Christian @ Koenigsegg and Singer, is just a weekend tool shed operation in comparison, like the people building the Eagle E Type are somewhat inferior, or even people like Chip Foose or the Ring Brothers don't know how to put a car together ... give me a break!
Am I the only person here who would just like to spend a day sitting in that shop and watching those craftsmen work? It's honestly amazing to see stuff like that still being done in 2020 and to see the end result of all that work, it must be very fulfilling for those men and women who built everything.

I'm amazed by the nose, how it's welded and finished in such a way you don't even see it. There's so much beauty in real craftsmanship.
Just being able to watch a wing or front piece being rolled into shape on the wheel from a square piece of metal 🤯.
The way he appreciates the skills of the people working there is something that's completely lost in most of automotive manufacturing
@@men8212 he just bought a DBS V12 aston martin 2007 in 2020. The opportunity for this came along because of that.
@@men8212 nothing to do with it he took an appreciation for the brand by buying one of the older model cars then I imagine was approached by them come and see what we do today with our cars of even older

V proud to say that I worked at Aston Martin for eleven years and was part of the team that rescued the brand under Ford's ownership. We gave birth to the DB7 at Bloxham, the Vanquish at Newport Pagnell, and the DB9 and V8 Vantage at Gaydon. We went from building 6 cars a week to 17,000 per annum by the time I retired in 2007. An amazing and very busy time but well worth it to see this future being carved out at Works Service and ofcourse the new plant at St Asaph in S Wales, the home of the Aston Martin DBX.
I think I have never seen a better man to explain "his" productionlines. The respect for the people working and the product they make. Another amazing video James!
I fell in love with Aston Martin when I was a child. After seeing the artisans' love for recreating Aston's heritage, and the skills they teach a new generation, I love it even more. Thank you James for the upload.

The DB5 is my dream car and i spent alot of time doing my apprenticeship at Gaydon but the opening of the St.Athan factory brought so many DB5s there and i got to see so many and actually being driven !! Genuinely the only time i have been jealous ... amazing experience !!

$3 million pound plus, I could CRY!!!! So few cars make the cut as works of art but this one will always be art.
Its great to see the British mastercraft people showing the world how to make something special. The attention to detail is breathtaking. It makes me proud to be british.

We did a db4 years ago every nut and bolt was restored. Took 2 years. I was in charge of all the parts. What a learning curve.
Probably the hardest most in depth restoration I’ve ever been a part of. Couldn’t get it into pebble beach but it won best in show at Amelia island.

I am actually blown away that a, or any manufacturer would under take such an undertaking. To recreate an icon like this is monuments to say the least. Only adds value to the brand and current line up truthfully!

FANTASTIC video , One of my teachers worked there in the 60's his name was Bob Head, he emigrate to Australia in the late 70's , I worked with him for about 6 Years and , I learned a lot from him , boy... was he a good tradesman ! Now days a good friend of mine from Australia is working there and I am very impressed with his skills .

I can thank my love of cars and driving to the DB5. Particularly my late Godfather's white DB5 and joining him on hill climbs in my early teens. It will always have a very special place in my heart, so thank you Mr JWW for this delightful peek behind the scenes into one of the great homages to an automotive icon that is - in my own life - without equal.

DB4GT absolutely amazing. If money was no object the DB4GT Zagato would be top of my list. Soooo beautiful. In my opinion outshines the DB5.

Came across this by chance, what a surprise to find Paul Spires giving an outstanding rundown on the production of the heritage side, i'm blown away with this. You've done a solid job with this video, goes into the fine details of how things are created and finished, these old fashioned skills are alive and well and so should always be kept going for future generations to learn. Didn't want it to end, lol.
Super video, would make the tea all day at the place just to watch those guys build the cars. Paul seems an absolute gent too

jerry henderson and thats why in america you make mustangs and us brits make f1 cars, Aston martins, mclarens, jaguars, nobles, rolls royces, bentlys, Morgan’s, land rovers, range rovers, lotus’, Tvrs, aerials, caterhams, BAC’s and radicals.
10 years? How long has that car been reproduced? Most of the original craftsmen will be dead in 10 years and that production of that type of car will be done by 3D printing.
G Car.....yes, all beautiful cars so why can’t brits get a handle on reliability?? Also too bad most are no longer Brit owned. Even Williams F1 and F1 itself are now owned by US companies. Also most have foreign drive trains as well. McLaren (French), Aston (AMG), etc.
I think Jerry was being sarcastic, but funny enough Mustangs are actually quite good now. For a fraction of the price you get a powerful V8, a manual trans if you like and a car that can handle as well as and better than some European cars. Mustangs are no longer just muscle cars with terrible interiors that don’t handle well.

Paul Spires! Wow! I still have the ancient issue of Classic and Sports Car featuring him in an article on the Aston Martin V8s. He was 21 when it was published and he described what it was like running 3 Astons with his modest wages (estate negotiator at the time). You've come a long way, Paul!
On the first day, God created ASTON MARTIN...........Awesome craftsmanship on display. Makes me proud to be British watching this. Aston Martin- greatest marque in the world. You can forget Ferrari and Lamborghini.

Truly amazing. What a great thing and a great video. I used to know someone who hand rolled those panels too. I had a brief spell working on Aston restorations in my spraying days, this is, of course, on a whole other level. So glad this is being done and that these skills are not being lost.

I can still remember many years ago taking a stroll on the Upper East Side of Manhattan near the Museum of Art. To my astonishment, parked on one of the side streets was what appeared to be the James Bond Goldfinger car! As I recall, it was not very clean or shiny that day, but the car did indeed have the revolving license plates on the rear of the car and several other features that made me believe that this must indeed have been one of the cars used in the film. Just quietly parked on a public street. Amazing. More recently, I had the good fortune to sneak into an exhibit at the Boca Raton Hotel where all of the Bond Aston Martin cars were on display. So, it seems that every once in a while all of the famous Aston Martin movie cars do actually have a reunion.
Always used to drive through Newport Pagnel in the 70s en route to Santa Pod, just to salute the old factory, it summed up specialist car makers in pre-war Britain to be in such an incongruous setting, mock Tudor semi-detached style.

Great Video, brought back so many memories when I was an apprentice mechanic working in the body shop, and I remember playing with my James bond dinky car. Have been in many exotic cars, but still think the UK make the best day to day gentleman's car.
Makes you proud to be British when you see the craftsmanship that goes into these car.

I went round the Newport Pagnell Aston factory in the late 60s. Although this factory looks very different from the old one, I'm still impressed with what they've done.
