Back in the Philippines. A lot of dogs tried to bully my dog. Sometimes a pack of dogs and none of them succeeded 😂. Because I trained him how to defend himself since a puppy. And I also don't let other dogs try to dominate him. Once I see another dog looking for a fight. I use Cesar Millan's shush on them and they back off.
Comment about dog trying to put his chin on another dog to show dominance (I don't remember which breed is which) was enlightening. I was a relatively new dog owner, watching, puzzled, while a shepherd breed of some sort followed my pit mix all over the dog park, with his chin nearly glued to my dog's back. My dog kept trying to get away, the shepherd wouldn't let him. Finally my dog rolled onto his back in front of the other, and that's when I finally understood what was happening.(Btw, the domineering dog was soon banned from the park.)
That is called teeing up and the owner of the pit mix should have recognized that immediately and intervened. It means a dog fight is about to happen. The owner was likely their phone and didn’t notice. You have to look out for your dogs and other people’s dogs because most people are oblivious. I hate dog parks.
In my opinion (at 0:54 seconds), that's not a relaxed tail wag, that did not mean friendly. Ronin's hair is standing up on his neck and back, and his tail is wagging vertically which means Ronin was displaying dominance towards the Pit mix. You really can't blame the pit for reacting the way it did, if you met another person and they walked up to you and got in your face and puffed out their chest immediately you would probably not react kindly to it. I feel like with you knowing Ronin is an intact dominant male, you should have called him off when you saw him tense up like that. I like your video's, I hope I don't come across as rude I've just noticed in some of the video's Ronin is the one showing dominance and some of the negative interactions are because of that. I also have a Presa mix and it can be hard to not show bias and remember when you're dog is in the wrong and correct them. Even the most well-trained dogs can have moments.
I love your channel man. I was at the park with my 14 month intact american bully last week and moment i got there this husky mix started trying to asert dominance over my dog, my boy backed off and disengaged twice but this dog kept on leaning over him and just trying to really say im boss, the husky mix even pissed on my girlfriend! Next thing i know it goes for my dogs neck and all savagery broke out my dog got so mad and overpowered the husky mix and I instantly ran over and grabbed his collar and pulled him out. The husky owner was screaming bloody murder the whole time lol. Best part is the dog was wearing a big red FRIENDLY vest. Im really considering doing a dog behaviour course. Super interesting to me
I am really learning a lot about dog behavior from recently finding your channel. I like the when you pause the video for a narrative things I have never paid attention too. Wow! Enjoying watching the interaction at the dog parks.
cant believe youre this educated on dog behavior and still bring them to the dog park. Its a sure fire way to get your dog sick at the minimum. Hurt at the maximum. If youre doing this for making educational content, I give you props. You have a sturdy breed that can take it. but dog parks are really not safe or healthy. Mostly due to other owners, not the dogs. Either way, I learned a lil bit from this vid. so thank you.
It is the norm, but dogs who are spayed/neutered too early have an increased chance of developing undesirable behavioral issues such as phobias, fear aggression and reactivity. Early spay/neuter triples the risk of developing hypothyroidism and becoming obese. So it is best to wait for at least 15 months after birth
For some dogs it can also inhibit there growth and cause bone deformation such as for German Shepards. They can get underdeveloped hips that can cause them Alot of pain if neutered before fully grown and matured (1 1/2 - 2 years)
I love watching your videos because they always teach me about dogs and body language. I also have a pitbull with green eyes and light brown hair, it's a boy, and his name is called Canelo which is cool because you have a girl dog called Canela
Always great videos my dude! i have a 2yo mal in Australia myself Just wondering if you have noticed any changes in Ronins since Neutering him? My guy is still intact and tossing up whether to do it or not as well.
I’m definitely not going to fix my dog specially since we don’t go to dog parks although we do go to a fiesta island dog park which is very big and dogs are off leash my Achilles (92+ pound) Belgian gets to run around and has been trained to walk away and avoid from conflict unless attacked. I do believe on fixing dogs that have bad genetics as I did with my female husky but my Mal is pure bread, oversized and well tempered, trained in bite work and obedience and will be used as a breeding dog with a working dog in the near future. People think it’s the unneutered dogs fault when there is conflict but I blame the untrained dog to not follow a command when they escalate the situation by not listening to the owner. I’ve gotten into one or 2 arguments about my dog’s aggression from owners holding their dogs when they see my dog has balls and they hold on to their dogs saying that my dog is aggressive when they don’t pay attention to their dogs but their dogs are over aggressive towards him. If an Alfa wolves can handle being around other unfixed wolves you can teach your domesticated dog Neto listen to you not to attack other dogs by using an E-collar the right way.
Unless you're planning on breeding him, there's no good reason not to have your dog neutered. It makes life less stressful for the dog and reduces the chances of cancer
Ronin is a beautiful dog - thank you for your posts and videos and please ignore the bizarre posts here. Anyone fixating on a dog’s parts over the general health and wellbeing of the dog has serious issues. That isn’t loving an animal - that is projection. You are caring for your doggo in a completely responsible and humane manner by making sure he is stimulated, socialized, not confined to an area and cut off from all people and animals because he loses his mind every time another living thing appears. He is enjoying a life full of interesting things and learning all the time. It’s wonderful, and the happiness on his face is obvious. Some people live in a world in which the brutal reality of overbreeding and shelter life escapes them, and they think their own emotions and fantasies are more important than the litters of puppies being left at shelters all the time…
My reason as to why the owner(s) would not step in. If the owners stepped in, it is possible that even themselves could have been hurt. Without the pit mix being corrected, it could've damaged both the owner's dog(s) and the pit mix altogether. You cannot just pull dogs away from a fight. They happen for a reason and are usually settled if they *aren't* bothered. Pit Mix: Gets in the personal space of the BM. BM: In response, he shows uncomfortable behavior. Pit Mix: *continues* getting into the personal space of the BM. BM: Is finally triggered when the Pit tries to set dominance. If someone did that to you as an human, you'd also feel uncomfortable. We may have different body language and thoughts from dogs, but they understand uncomfortability in their own way! Just like how many humans do the same. Of course, there are many cases that are similar to this video. This is a reminder that *if* you see your dog correcting another, do *not* step in unless it is needlessly violent. It is their way of setting boundaries. And to also keep your dog in check so they don't keep bothering the corrected dog. (Unless the dog needs yet another correction.) (I am not a professional, but I do study many animal behaviors and have even adapted some myself. You can form your own opinion, but this is mine. The creator of the video *cannot* go back in time to fix any problems the BM or the Pit has done. Please take that into consideration!)
First! Do you know any tips on how to catch a scared lost dog i found on a walk I found one yesterday and she was really scared of my puppy (he isn’t aggressive just overexcitable) I caught the dog but it ran away before I could put a lead on it it was really skinny but friendly I’m going to look for it again today it had a collar not sure if it had a tag it was dark.
I recently watched a video at a 'Friesian Horses' stable, where the resident Rottie was nipping at the rear legs of a new horse, like wolves do, to cut the tendons of fleeing prey animals... Then it was pushy, rude, and displaying dominant behavior on a visiting, and leashed, retriever-type dog, who was scared to death... The owner of the Rottie and the horses, and viewers commenting, thought this bad and extremely dangerous behavior was "cute" because it was "excited to make new friends!" How IGNORANT can you be!?!?! Off course, I didn't make any friends that day... LOL

I enjoy watching your videos. I have a question, after watching this video - Do you record all this for educational purposes only? Like so you can break things down for your viewer? How come when you see all the moments/gestures/signals that are leading up to a fight, you don’t just interject & deflect and avoid the whole altercation between the dogs? Why risk injuries to any of the dogs? I understand when you’re filming from a far & notice all the micro moments that lead to a fight, & you’re too far to do anything in time. But when they’re right in front of you, why watch all the signs of a fight compound?
I agree if you have your Malinois under control None of this would happen. My Malinois were trained by Afgan War Vet Dog handler r. He taught me and my Dogs to Chill when meeting strange dogs at the Park. Plus how to defuse the situation before it happens, which means calling back my Dog. . There's one guy who's always lecturing us about dogs, but it's His dog that's be always in the middle of something. I run 2 Malinois and a Pit Bull, under my verbal commands none of this would happen. 90 percent of the Dogs/owners at the Park have the same control. Only problem is the know it all. We just wander off when he comes. My Malinois are untinterested in the other Dogs to began with. They know that none of the other dogs have their speed and drive. .so they just Go Commando on each other. Had to buy them Goggles they tear through the woods so fast.
In my opinion, I think if Ronin really wanted to hurt this dog, he would have. But it seems like a very firm correction. When he had that dog by the neck was like a firm hold to show that dog to quit. And his bad behavior is not tolerated. Ronin is absolutely an amazing dog. But this is just my opinion.
I learned something new!!! I just always called it a side eye....which it technically is, but its called the "whale eye" ! And I also don't let other dogs try to dominate him. Once I see another dog looking for a fight. I use Cesar Millan's shush on them and they back off.
So at the end you just let Ronin get Diddyed by a pipsqueak???
This is the ONE channel my dog will actually watch on youtube. 😂😂😂
Him:"poodle"
Me : "thats a doodle"
This was actually a pretty good video I learned alot
Yet the pit is always approaching Ronin. Why cant the pit mind its own damn business? Cause its literally too stupid
Agree. Should call off earlier so the tension don't rise. May just be a rare event though.
@@42cuba.......because its a dog meeting other dogs?? Lol
“ROXIE NOOO😢” the way u said it haha 🤣
Yo this mounting is actually crazy😂
I’m from 🇬🇧 and I LIVE for these videos ❤
Yooooo….the little dog. 😂😂😂😂
The little dog just goin ham😭😭
You done a great job with this animal, who by the way is a great animal. Be safe fellas>
The little dog at the end was going at it💀
The doggie camera makes the guy on the bench look like a crash test dummy😂🤣😆
cant believe youre this educated on dog behavior and still bring them to the dog park.
Really cool to see the way these things play out!
In the end Ronin is having the time of his life😂
No one gonna talk about the side eye and the to dogs body slamming each other in the background at 3:05?
I saw that to lol 😂
weird you have to defend yourself, i thought spaying/neutering was the norm? i live in the states
They can get underdeveloped hips that can cause them Alot of pain if neutered before fully grown and matured (1 1/2 - 2 years)
@@Kate-is5mz don’t know why you’re so upset
@@ciaravitani2011 his dog is 2yrs old, if i remember correctly, so still don’t know why he was getting hated on
I love watching your videos because they always teach me about dogs and body language. I also have a pitbull with green eyes and light brown hair, it's a boy, and his name is called Canelo which is cool because you have a girl dog called Canela
Always great videos my dude! i have a 2yo mal in Australia myself
Just wondering if you have noticed any changes in Ronins since Neutering him?
If an Alfa wolves can handle being around other unfixed wolves you can teach your domesticated dog Neto listen to you not to attack other dogs by using an E-collar the right way.
dont do it aslong as he is not untrainable agressive imo
Unless you're planning on breeding him, there's no good reason not to have your dog neutered. It makes life less stressful for the dog and reduces the chances of cancer
hi, love these videos! where did you learn about dog behaviour like this?
(Unless the dog needs yet another correction.)
(I am not a professional, but I do study many animal behaviors and have even adapted some myself. You can form your own opinion, but this is mine. The creator of the video *cannot* go back in time to fix any problems the BM or the Pit has done. Please take that into consideration!)
But he can learn and not keep putting his dog I to awful situations....
I would contact your local animal authority
Love your Videos! You inspired me to create my own content with my Doberman! I Wish you and Ronin a safe time together at dog parks!.
LOL
Se aprende mucha observacion con tus videos! Yo tengo tb un Mali, ya con 12 años, y conozco muy bien su lenguaje corporal pero no el de otras razas. Un saludo!
Tongue flick: I really don't want to fight...
Just found your channel and this is amazing and what in my opinion most dog owners dont understand. Read the body language of your dog !
Battle for the ages, man
dead at the shih tzu!! now that was a full on DATE! 🤠
this pit mix always looks like it ate my food and doesnt want me to find out
This dog doesn't have a lick of pit

Brilliant content ive done a youtube channel because small majority of people always judging my German shepherds SAYING THERE DANGEROUS!! Iam going to invest in camera and dog harness! To shut these people up ! Ive subscribed carnt wait to watch more of your content ❤❤❤

Isnt that a flagging tail, not a wagging tail?
How do you tell them apart?
What breed is raven
I just always called it a side eye....which it technically is, but its called the "whale eye"
! And dogs will exhibit this while feeling anxious or stressed....they will turn their head but keep their eyes on whatever they are looking at. Very uncertain. You can tell too. Thank You!!! Ive subscribed.
I feel like I'm in a prison yard when watching these videos

*I DON'T LIKE THIS GAME* xD
that's too scary for me, I don't like dog parks for that reason. Glad everyone was ok. Nice to see still frames of the tension and aggressive stances.
Ronin is such a level headed guy
Please tell me what kind of go pro mount this is. Thank you
You have good dogs
My Alaskan malamute I have is very dominant (not in a mean way just very strong if that makes sense) when it comes to other male dogs that are anything above the size of a beagle especially the younger male dogs my husky is 8 and has the size and attitude of wolverine but you can put the meanest little dog in front of him and he will just stand there or try to play 😫 I love watching your videos you know so much about body language and just how your dogs operate it’s awesome to watch thanks for the great videos 🤙
9:39 idk why but candela, raven, and Roxie jumping in was so funny to me, it also shows the bond they have. Especially raven who was trynna steal ronin’s ball a sec ago. But dude, ronin got his balls took early bc of that dumb pitbull😔
How smart you are when it comes to that☺
Ronin be kicking ass Fr 😂
