Ed from Ed's Guide Service Explains How to Use Captain Mack's Umbrella "A Rigs" for Spring Striper

- I fished with Ed from Ed's Guide Service using A Rigs to troll for Spring Striper. The fish are in a prespawn pattern and are staging on the edge of the deep river channels in Texoma. We trolled A rigs across the drop offs from deep to shallow and shallow to deep and caught several nice fish. We then switched to precision trolling and trolled over underwater points and humps rapidly reeling and releasing the reels to adjust the dept to where the fish were showing on the graph.

It’s hard to find fish less than 20”
Useful the thump while trolling? Do you use same weighted lures on those rigs or go heavy to light? Been thinking about trying these out just for something new. Frankly when I don't know what's going on I just troll for a bit while watching electronics.
Chris, I don’t normally use my thumper when I am trolling but if I have bait and hit a school of hot fish, then I would stop on that school and use my thumper to call in and catch as many as I can!
Need to know how you rig your baits, what A rigs you using. What rods and reels you suggest. Bad video.
Brian Christy- sorry I have done some prior videos that showed all that so will make sure I cover it in each video. I use a Okuma or Cabelas Depthmaster III countdown reel with 60lb mono on a Shakespeare tiger lite heavy action jigging rod.
We use a heavy ball bearing snap swivel and attach a Captain Mack’s Striper 4 arm 3 oz umbrella rig out of the package.
We drop it back 180’ to run 30’ deep and drag it along the channel edges at about 3mph.
