EA UFC games have a serious issue and no one really talks about it too much and that’s the leaderboards. This may be a hot take but hear me out. Each fighter should have their very own individual ELO scoring and division. This would promote and encourage players to use different fighters or specialize in one even. There is a sense of satisfaction you gain when you find yourself improving and being able to see a visual representation of that improvement. We’ve all experienced this in a video game one way or another. Players should also be recognized for being exceptional at piloting particular fighters who may or may not be in the meta or be outright awful to use. Matches should to be continuously diverse. If nothing is stopping players from simply using the most over powered fighter in the division every match then the developers should expect that at some point it’s going to turn into nothing but that. Most leaderboards in previous UFC games were nothing more than place holders for cheesers. Leaderboards should be meaningful and highlight players for being exceptional at their playstyle. The leaderboards should always reflect that and it could be achieved by adding more individual leaderboards for example, most ground and pound finishes, most submissions, highest first round finish rate, etc. we need players to develop their own play style and not feel it ever necessary to cater to the meta play style to simply achieve wins. I’m a true believer that Wins alone should NEVER be a determining factor for leaderboard placements.
Just let my family go it’s been 3 years
