We hope you enjoyed watching and hearing about TRIPTYCH by Room11. It’s truly remarkable how architecture and art merge together in such a harmonious way. The triptych concept of this project, with its interconnected yet distinct structures, showcases a creative freedom that breaks away from traditional norms. TRIPTYCH was recently featured in Issue No. 12 of our Print Publication, which is available to purchase through our website - thelocalproject.com.au/publication/issue-12/
I wouldnt consider partially burying a brutalist box as "Succefully intergrating" it with nature. This is terrible architecuture and its ruining the landscape.
Gorgeous. I'm glad somebody built this and shared it with us, but I wouldn't want to live in that space. Wish you included more about the setup and construction of the glass house.
What an experience... watching this video is like going through a journey deep into my soul, the music, the cinematography, the still shots, incredible! You guys should release videos like this WITHOUT any commentary, I can watch it all day or even put it in my TV for a zen / euphoric break time. And can you guys give the credit to the music as well? Would love to have this music for ambient.
Just remarkable. This home transports you to another place entirely. The landscape and scenery is equally breathtaking. Excellent work capturing this project.
I cannot imagine what a construction feat this must be, the structure might look simple but more often than not, the simpler they look the more complex the construction is. The logistics involved to build something like this in this location must have been a nightmare too.
It never ceases to amaze me how box qualifies as architecture. While the site is gorgeous and the view from a single room is categorically stunning I'm left wondering how much more could have been achieved using the same design philosophy. Just my opinion which means hot as I am not the client.
Absolute masterpiece, awesome! Only questions that bothers me is the acoustic, doesnt it sound like a church inside? Or maybe it was thought to sound like that?
Well done to all involved- you’re challenge now is to make such design more available to those that appreciate but can’t take up due to it being out of reach financially.
Why not? Joseph Eichler, Cliff May, Anshen, Allen, John Lauttner, FL Wright, Richard Neutra all did exactly that, were hugely successful and made an invaluable contribution to society.
I love minimalism in architecture, and the main and glass house is stunning, but that concrete shed slab being talked about as a "destination" is some A grade wankery.
I am not a fan of this. It's a bit too brutalist for my taste. The views are incredible and are well-framed but the rest? I don't get these half-windows on the bottom. Yeah, if you are in bed, you can see something, but if you have a floor to ceiling window, you can also see a few lying on bed OR see it sitting down or standing up. It's just weird....
@@XTSu-sl1bb LOL yup or bad taste - a lot of people think brutalism, particularly in residential architecture is a sign of particular sophistication :)
@@mrvk39 it’s true, but when you look at the top level resorts. Arguably the highest level of design it’s never brutalist and more vernacular. Places like aman from Kerry hill.
Bit brutalist for my taste but great picture windows. Detailing looked a bit questionable, building will age badly in that climate. Kitchen went further than skylight opening was a bad detail that’s obvious when spaces are simple
Architects with a huge budget always rely on large glass windows/walls to elevate their projects. Without the huge glass panes and the view, it becomes a very boring project.
Hhhmmm, I think it does not fit into nature that surrounds the house. You should have combined the build with wood and plants on the roof and around the house - in my mind 😊

A fluffy wall sounds so inviting for a bedroom space. I do love soft textures.
It's alive. You can feel its presence. An entity. As a guardian of the external landscape. A caretaker of the life internal.
this is a really unique and trippy house. I can imagine shrooming in this house would be insane
This is an excellent demonstration of how landscape and architecture can be integrated successfully. The view is absolutely breathtaking.
I wouldnt consider partially burying a brutalist box as "Succefully intergrating" it with nature. This is terrible architecuture and its ruining the landscape.
I love this house - but it sure ain't 'integrated'.
The shot at 0:48 is absolutely stunning !!!
Love the sheepskin cabinetry! I wish that playful softness had been given other places to occupy in the house.
These two are absolutely genius. Extremely impressive considerations!
"We used concrete because it has a solidity.." I am genuinely crying laughing
These videos would be a lot better if there was less pseudo-intellectual wank / listing architecture buzzwords.
This is just brilliant! So sophisticated and elegant.

I believe they’ve featured it in a previous episode
Yes there's a previous episode about it, I think the client was a writer wanted it as a retreat when he/she writes
Oh, the setting and the views! Each house is an experience! ♥
Would love to stay in a beautiful home with an amazing view like that! Staring at the view is just gorgeous. Thanks Local Project
The uniqueness of this build sets this project apart from others. Each room was a pleasant surprise.
Simply have one word - wow.
Honestly...takes my breath.
Oh wow...just wow

looks amazing....also looks cold....
Beautifully thought through!
Architecture is art.
What would you say is the meaning behind this work of art?

Beautiful project, really well settled in its context.
Very nice. Thanks for sharing.
lol the way they describe a concrete slab. Lol
I feel there's still more story to be told about this remarkable project. Absolute masterpiece
Especially the sheepskin cupboard 😂😂😂
Beautiful piece of ART.
Indeed it is!
is it someone's home? REally. What a taste is that? Concrete and Glass Metall lover.
Magical
Gorgeous image at 2:55.
Gorgeous!
Unreal
I LOVE cantilevers CHARLIEEE!
I LOVE cantilevers
Sustainability !
This is now in my top three best things I've ever seen.

there is another video just of that glass house
pure genius
Quite special. 👏👏👏
Man I love it!!!
One day I’ll have a home like this! 😅
Awesome!
Great project!!!
This house reminds me of the artstyle in the video game “Control”.
Absolute masterpiece, awesome! Only questions that bothers me is the acoustic, doesnt it sound like a church inside? Or maybe it was thought to sound like that?
Awe!
Award winner!
It's an impressive concrete box!
cheeky
JUST UNREAL!

Yeah, why should they... Elitism needs expression 😂
"here's a huge fucking concrete slab for BOOKREADING AND BIRDWATCHING" LOL WAT
What an amazing place
Brilliant
最高ですね❤
NO doubt it is all Marvelous but what about social distance to relocating with such expensive remote beauty?
Oh those mirrors world be a bitch to keep clean. So stunning though. Giving blade runner vibes and I’m loving it
Finished watching 6:06
Bravo, destroy the nature! 👏👏👏
it's like one of those tech billionaire's house in cautionary-tale sci-fi movies
Beautiful space. Functional, sculptural with a great connection to the landscape. Bravo guys.
I love minimalism in architecture, and the main and glass house is stunning, but that concrete shed slab being talked about as a "destination" is some A grade wankery.
is this the ex-machina house?
The two key words are "short period".
The usual exercise in style.
The usual egocentric concrete block.
❤❤
Of the many outstanding projects I've seen on this channel, this is the first that is such a poor use of an amazing site.
Wow…
❤
all very cool with great execution. But, seems a bit lonely and sad
😍
这种房子可以参观吗
A sheeps skin cupboard hey? Couldnt do that in kiwiland.
its a achievement to build in the middle of nowhere in its self
Oooo...No....that's a scary corridor...with concrete flanking a narrow passage......looks like it was designed by AutoCad -AI
Good god.
3500$ a night Airbnb...
Feels completely out of place. Like a construction yard unfinished construction yard in a beautiful flowing landscape.
otherwise known as a concrete slab
This place is beautiful but has such a weird feeling to it … horror movie energy
A very elegant building but so stark that it’s not really a home.
Elizabeth Farnsworth Mies Van Der Rohe.
I don't care if anyone agrees, but this house felt very unsettling and extremely creepy to me.
I appreciate it as art but not as a home.
Demolish it someone please

Wow, we almost written the same comment. You must have good taste, ha ha

where money meets waste

very very cool.
This music feels like I am looking at the home of a serial killer...needs more upbeat music!
Art meets architecture, huh? Don't see a piece of artwork in this house, just empty walls.
Is it just me? Or does the word 'arrogance' come to mind with anybody else?
Not just you. 'Crime' also come to mind
Architects with a huge budget always rely on large glass windows/walls to elevate their projects. Without the huge glass panes and the view, it becomes a very boring project.
Horrendous House
It's beautiful but...... boring. It looks like a shipping container and it probably cost millions. All ego and no art.
Art isn't defined by whether it appeals to you or not, this home is chalk full of emotion for me and I'd consider it art.
Categorically false. Art is intended to be contemplated or appreciated as beautiful. Please get a dictionary.
You'd have to be pretty narcissistic to enjoy an all-mirror bathroom...
This is so POETIC
Hhhmmm, I think it does not fit into nature that surrounds the house. You should have combined the build with wood and plants on the roof and around the house - in my mind 😊
Wow. This is truly ugly.
Not cozy.
