3:20 "Tested..." What does that mean? Did they just turn it on and off? Did they insert a DVD and play it? Did they insert a VHS tape and play it? Did they test all the VCR operations; fast-forward scan search, rewind scan search, pause/still, slow/frame-step, fast-forward, rewind, stop, eject? Did they check after ejecting to make sure the tapes weren't eaten? I'm always scared of buying "refurbished" VCRs from Amazon because I never know this stuff... 4:18 *Bonus Feature:* If you try to press any of the PLAY/REW/FF buttons when there is no tape inserted, a warning message will appear on the TV. You can try doing that on other VCRs to see if they have that feature as well!
I got a hold of 2 Samsung VR375 combo VCR/ DVD units (dumpster find, no remotes!) similar to yours. I have not completely tested them yet. Can you record something from a different source other than what is coming from the unit? Thank you 🤓 does that record more internally? The video signal is going to the TV, but also to the DVD for recording. Are there 2 signals / feeds, one to the TV, & a 2nd to the DVD player? More questions! Do you take parts out of flat screen TVs, and sell on ebay? For a few extra $$
