How far in do you turn the idle adjustment screw on initial setup after a rebuild, so you can get the bike running to adjust idle speed?

I was able to take apart and clean my carburetor like a pro because of this video but I want to check what ports to plug off because I have an 03 Shadow Ace 750 California model but I want to say my carburetor looks EXACTLY like this one so Im a little confused. My carb rebuild kit from you is due to arrive today but I cleaned all my jets and everything anyway just to save them. Thank you for these videos

I bought the velocity stacks, the performence kit for duel carps and the straight open pipe draft exauhst for my 1998 honda shadow vt750 ( parts fit all on my model). I put everything in and started it up. I ran very good, great power output and no problems for two days. I parked my shadow after a 70 km ride down to a campsite for tow days without starting it and when i started it the next time the power output was shit. Still rideable but copared to before very bad performance. It takes a good while to get some speed. I checked very much stuff already but i run out of ideas. I thought maybe there is somewhere a leak where air comes i but the carb boots are new and well sealed. The exauhstgaskets are fine. The carbs seam fine aswell. Petcock is clean, fuelfilter is clean. I (double-)checked very much stuff and run out of ideas ( Sparkplugs, different settings for airfuel- mixture, the new jets aswell even if i cleant the carbs and other stuff.Does anyone had a similar problem and can help me ? Please give me some idea's guys, its my first bike and i learn all the stuff on my own and wont give up till its fixed. I am good with mechanics just to point out that i dont fucked stuff up while rebuilding the carbs and like i said, i checked that trwice to made shure everything is fine there. I count on u lad's and on the tjbrutalcustoms-Team aswell.

I watched this whole series and it is fantastic! This may be a silly question, but how different are the carbs for the 600 and 750 to a vt500c set of carbs? I just picked up an 83 Shadow vt500c and she needs a bit of love in the carb section. I appreciate any info! Thanks again for the epic walkthrough!
While turning the airflow mixture screw out. Is it 2 1/2 turns out from bottom. Or is it 2 1/2 after setting it to one?

Howdy!!! I got a VT750CDD, California emissions BS.... Do you have a guide to show which vents on the Carb I can block? I deleted the EVAP system from the bike and now rebuilding the Carb. (Sadly not with one of your kits, I only just found your channel...)
So I have what appears to be a double vacuum line coming out of the top of the carb, but I'm not sure where they go??? the exploded view calls them "air tubes"
Same question. The hose connected to plastic barb was chewed in half and only 2 inches long. I never found the rest of the hose. On 2003 VT1100C2

TJ I just cleaned and replaced everything . Not leaks fires up with choke but won’t rev up or run with choke off what did I do

Single carb it. There are lots of Honda Shadow/Steed that are being made into single carb. I have a Honda Steed 400, pretty similar to shadow. Improvise manifold with a 32mm carb. Works like a charm
Idk about using grease there....maybe vaseline instead?

Nice video's TJ. Do you have any tips on multi-carb engines. I have a 98' Valkyrie, removed and cleaned the heck out of the carbs. Idle hangs when goosing throttle and while riding there's some popping in the exhaust. I sync'd the carbs, now want to tune up the pilot jets. My only problem is no one has a method for adj 6 carbs. Any suggestions. Thanks
Are the boots you sell for carbs also for the VT1100’s. I’ve never held or worked on the 650 and 7’s so i am unsure if the are exactly the same.

And I came across your videos then quickly after subscribed. So I’ve checked out your website and I can see that you can buy rebuild performance kits but I was wondering if you would sell me a carburetter with the performance kit already installed in the carburetor?

Size of the fuel line that you used to replace the old dry fuel line? I finished my build and went great! Now leaking gas from the T and fuel line under the carb 🥲

hello tj, ,, e removed the carburetors like 9 times trying to make the motorcycle 1999 honda shadow tourer vt1100 not run lean and still have that problem. I installed new jets 180 and 175 dyno and the e-clip in position 4 of the needle and is still running lean. no power ,, lazy ,,,,,, and the mixture screw I have tried it in a round and a half ,,, in two turns up to 3 turns out. And when I go to the speed of 75mph and 80mph, the engine starts to fail as if there was no gas or electricity problem. I'm frustrated

So the only filter is the screen under the stacks ? During a hard rain wouldn't water get into the carburetor ? I can't see how this would be good for the carbs at all especially is you have to travel on a dirt road or even a gravel road for any distance . Does anyone make a short regular filter that would fit over the air intake ?
I have a 1998 with the twin carbs and I was told by a honda mechanic that gravity fed gas from the tank on a twin carb would not work . He said it would bog down and run like it was running out of gas . Is that True ? The reason I'm asking is for some reason I have a fuel pump under the seat and I think its going bad . The line outlet on the tank is higher than the inlet of the T on the carb and there is enough room to put a small filter and a line from the tank to the carb . Have you ever tried running a 600 cc with the twin carbs with out the fuel pump and only gravity fed ?

I have a few questions that have to do with some vacuum plugs/air system on my bike as I try to jet and rebuild the carbs and install a velocity stack(2004 Aero single carb, open backdraft exhaust). I recently installed your PAIR block off plates and removed that whole system. I have 2 hoses that run into a T from the carb that then went into the pair system, can I just plug them off at the carb? I also have a hose running from the float bowl for venting, do you just leave that completely open with no hose? it currently runs to a T then goes to atmosphere right by the carb and the back of the bike. Last question is what do I do with the large hose that ran from the top of the back cylinder that used to go to the old airbox tear drop filter?
How many microns is this air filter mesh?
On the needle shims do you remove the plastic spacer that's already on there? You didn't show much about that.

hey i just got the black cutout pipes and velocity stacks with the tuning kit with the long mixture screws and i noticed it bottoms out on the throttle side against the throttle assembly is that normal and when going wot it hits against the long mixture screw is that normal? i have a 02 vt750dc shadow spirit

I have an 03 Shadow ACE 750. New boots, wide open exhaust, velocity stacks.145 main, 45 pilot, 2 shims on each needle. Fuel mixture screws 2 1/2 turns out. I cannot get it to idle to even start the tuning process. PLEASE HELP! Lol
Look for a video on Dual Carb adjustment (not TJ) and another on Idle control (TJ has one).
