Same!!! I honestly thought Taz was going to eat raw pasta bless her! I was so relieved when she decided to Google it, just to double check! I barely like cooked pasta, so the idea of anyone consuming raw pasta, let alone raw pasta that's that thick, just seems so awful in my brain!!!
20:50 this happens when you mix water/fluid into tempered chocolate. It seems the moisture from the melted yogurt caused the chocolate to seize, next time you could put coconut oil to make the chocolate thinner or freeze the yogurt longer!
Coconut oil leaves a bitter aftertaste on chocolate. She can use crisco or vegetable shortening. 1 tablespoon. She also needs to make the clusters smaller and freeze them for a lot of time so they don't melt as quickly and mess up the chocolate.
I need you to know that you’re literally one of the biggest reasons why I’m alive today. I was genuinely worried that she was going to put the sauce over raw pasta! I'm not sure why she thought it didn't need cooking, as it was the wrong consistency and obviously not hot either. Maybe she got confused with it needing less cooking time?
cooked pasta is flexible and squishy... raw fresh pasta is flexible and squishy... so... fresh pasta= good to eat pasta :)) my heart tho xD it skipped a bit at the thought she eat it raw ❤
Same!!! I was a bit worried too though and honestly thought Taz was going to eat raw pasta bless her! I was so relieved when she decided to Google it, just to double check! I’d love a button that says “it’s giving bless her, she tried” 😅😂 this vid was perfect timing-I’ve been struggling with cooking for myself and I’m feeling more encouraged with these 3 ingredient recipes~
She almost gave me a heartattack when she said whether to boil pasta or not 😅😅😵. Love the video btw. Really love to see you cooking and getting better at it ❤❤❤
For the last one, you could melt your chocolate and pour it into cupcake papers, make sure it coats all the inside and pour out the excess, then let it set. Add in your filling, let that set, then top it with more melted chocolate. That's basically how peanut butter cups are made, but it would work for any filling.
Recipe 1: Taz forgets she has a freezer for the ice cream. Recipe 2: LEMON JUICE IN PANCAKE, LIKE SERIOUSLYYYY. Recipe 3: Hold the Bowl While Visking Woman! Recipe 4: BOIL YOUR PASTA BROOOOO Recipe 5: What is up with your chocolate?
I don’t like lemon juice on my pancakes but it’s pretty common, at least in England. And I’ve had the chocolate thing happen to me, it’s so sad. I think basically it’s when the chocolate melts at too high of a heat but not sure.
I will have to try some of these! Next time you should drizzle the chocolate or pour it on top of the frozen yogurt. If you put ice cold things into warm chocolate then it clumps up. With the pasta to make it thinner, I use a wine bottle. It makes the rolling easier than a rolling pin and has more weight to make it thinner. Also if you double cut your pasta then you will have thinner strands.
Your chocolate hardened up because moisture ie condensation on the frozen filling reacted with the chocolate. Better to drizzle the chocolate over the frozen filling. I would cover the bottom then turn it over and coat the top. You can improve your pasta by using strong flour sometimes just called bread flour. This will also allow you to role out your dough thinner without breaking. As to price it probably cost about 70p to make your three egg pasta. So maybe more expensive than buying the cheep dried stuff. But compared to the price of good quality fresh pasta, home made is half the price.
21:00 it can be melted more than once... You can try putting the frozen yogurt+strawberry on a rack in a tray.. and pour melted chocolate on them nicely instead of dipping. When you dip in the chocolate, the cold frozen yogurt would change the chocolate temperature drastically and cause it to solidify..
tbh its pretty hard to compare the price of homemade pasta and dried storebought pasta, but ig if you like to treat yourself to fresh pasta it is cheaper to make it than buy the fresh pasta you can find in chilled sections of supermarkets
Yeah, fresh pasta you make yourself will cost more time and more money than store bought dry pasta, partly because store bought dry pasta often contains only flour and no eggs.
Making the dough with just flour and water brings the cost down considerably you can also use vegetable juice to produce coloured pasta. Hand crank pasta extruders are fairly cheap as are cavatelli makers if you want to make pasta shapes.
girl i made the Japanese souffle pancakes before and there actually really easy to make, and they taste exactly the same as regular ones, i definitely think u should try 😋
for the yogurt chocolate one, I think it would be much easier to spread the yogurt in the pan and then just pour the melted chocolate on top, and then just cut it into squares once frozen (also you can add nuts on top before it hardens!) and for the pasta maybe try less flour, and when rolling it it is probably easier and would take less energy if you roll the pin back and forth fast (light pressure no need to press hard like you did in the video)
If you cut some bananas in three to four chunks, freeze them & once they’re frozen coat them in chocolate; and freeze again. They’re so yummy and so easy to make 😋 I think you’d really like them Taz 😀
21:15 try making it smaller, put in the cupcake mold..or ice cubes mold.. would be easier to dip in chocolate and faster. Chocolate wise.. i think you need to use cooking chocolate or coin milk chocolate.. if you add a bit of corn oil it would give smooth texture
My italian self being proud of Taz for making home-made tagliatelle: 😍❤ My italian self when Taz almost didn't cook the pasta: 😢 If the fresh pasta is too chewy that probably means you should have cooked it more, especially if it's not super thin (generally speaking, fresh pasta gets cooked in less time than dry pasta, but except for some cases, it takes more that 2-3 minutes)
I've been sick so have missed months of this omg first of all looking amazing Taz and I love you hair this length xx also it may just be me but after missing a few months I sound more and more confident xx
You should try making michelin star recipes. Look up Thomas Keller's banana split. Or try making japanese shokupan bread to make honey butter toast (cupcakejemma recipe)
For the last one, it might be easier putting melted chocolate in like a silicone ice cube tray mould. Wobble it to fill the edges like you would with a hollow Easter egg. Letting that harden, then fill it with the fruit and yogurt mixture. Letting freeze together and then pouring more melted chocolate in top to fully cover them. Freeze again and then eat as and when craved haha
Maybe pour the chocolate on top of the yogurt mixture instead of dipping the yogurt thing in the chocolate but I’ve never made it so idk if it would work…definitely gonna try some of these recipes
18:22 after making the pasta dough it should be rested before rolling so the gluten gets to rest! Im assuming thats why your pasta turned out so thick.
To make fluffier pancakes you have to whip the egg whites+ (vanilla) sugar separately from the rest of the batter (sifted flour, baking powder/soda, pinch of salt and milk) then after fold the whipped egg whites into the rest of the batter. Japanese pancakes use more egg whites than regular fluffy pancakes, need "perfect" whipping of the eggs and need to be baked (steaming optional) on low heat
I think buying cheap pasta is probably cheaper. Priced from my local store it’s about $1 for homemade and $0.88 for store bought, per serving… roughly. It’s not expensive, but I don’t think it’s cheaper
Hi Taz, for the strawberry yogurt chocolate one you have to pour the chocolate over the frozen mix and not the other way around because otherwise the chocolate will drop it's temperature very quickly and harden like it happened in the video. Just a tip if you wanna try it again :)
Just a suggestion (I have no idea what I'm doing when it comes to desserts) but maybe a bit of food colouring maybe red would help it become more pink? Glad you had fun with these recipes Taz 🥰
Easy 2 ingredient recipe Melted chocolate and Rice Krispies 🤤 mix together and put in cupcake cases Used to make them in primary school too for Easter, and put a few Cadbury mini eggs and a little chick 🐥 on top (the ones made of like arts and crafts pipe cleaners lol) ahh memories ❤
I've tried to make the souffle pancakes and they're pretty good but it's nearly impossible to get them as thick as the restaurant ones, they basically flatten out immediately
Maybe next time freeze the yogurt strawberries in an ice cube tray and then use dixie cups with separate tiny batches of melted chocolate to make smaller servings.
Here’s one for you that’s a secret of mine. Any pasta shape, but preferably Shell or Penne. Boil pasta for 10 mins till soft, drain. Put whole carton of Passata in saucepan, add whole chopped up Mattessons Smoked Sausage (do not use the garlic one) to Passata and boil for 10 mins with lid on saucepan. Add sauce to the pasta and mix together. Add cheese on top to taste. Banging.
I discovered a new use for home-made pumpkin soup last night. I used it as a base for a pasta sauce, just added butter, garlic, bacon, a little cream and cheese, oh and chilli flakes because I love spice. Used shell pasta, it was sooo good.
Going by Asda essentials range 100g of flour = 4.66p 1 egg = 13.3p You need 300g = 13.8p 3 eggs = 39.9p Recipe = 53.7p The price of pasta shapes = 41p for 500g If you wanted the same pasta (Fettuccine) =75p for 500g
Fresh pasta should always just be eggs and flour. You put too much flour, you didn’t need long enough, you didn’t roll out nearly thin enough either. And you said this was the only shape you can make. Not so. All flat pastas and stuffed pastas do not need extruders. You got water in your chocolate, which caused it to seize. You’re coming along but still have so much to learn.
Japanese soufflé pancakes were easy to make actually You just beat the whites to stiff peaks like you’re making a meringue and then fold the dry ingredients in. Then floof them onto the hot pan and then add a splash of water so it steams up, cover and wait for it to cook then flip 😁

I recommend to put a pinch of salt in everything! 🙃 even in sweets. Don’t over do it obviously but salt is a flavour enhancer.
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE how it is slowly turning into cooking channel ❤…love u taz

Lemon juice and sugar is how I have my pancakes. I don't want pancakes if lemon juice is not involved!
I don’t like lemon juice on my pancakes but it’s pretty common, at least in England. And I’ve had the chocolate thing happen to me, it’s so sad. I think basically it’s when the chocolate melts at too high of a heat but not sure.

Lemon juice on pancakes is English thing !!!!
It is if you over heat it and the adding the cold moisture of the yogurt will make the chocolate split !!!

I used to make the banana pancakes without the flour, it also works and i didn't have to get a huge bag of flour I'll never use 😂
So bought pasta is cheaper because there is no eggs in it. It’s made from only water and flour (besides bought fresh pasta).

ive tried making the japanese pancakes before ! tasted very eggy but im not the best pancake maker,,,, came out soft and i liked it:))
Taz cooking content is always good and Taz is adorable.
I recently tried
Yogurt and flour - doughnuts
Yogurt, flour and spices - NANN bread
Oats and banana - oat cookies
Oil, Flour, sugar
Coating: butter, sugar - churros
Flour, milk, butter.
Filling: sugar and butter - cinnamon rolls
Egg, flour, sugar, butter - cake
Dried pasta is just made of semolina flour and water, so its a lot cheaper than fresh egg pasta.
Not too mention store pasta is much more convenient and easier to just grab buy and go compared to spending time making it…

Then put the chocolate covered things back in the freezer for about 20 minutes for the chocolate to harden again 👍
Could make vegan pasta.
3/4 cup (6floz/170ml) water, ( you might need a little more)
2 tablespoons olive oil
3 cups (15oz/ 426g) all-purpose flour
Mochi is technically made from just 1 ingredient - rice. Mochi is a Japanese rice cake that can be filled with different fillings (such as ice cream).
