STREET FIGHTER 2! One of the most unforgettable epic legends of video games in the 90s. Anyone who has played this game as a kid in the ARCADE can relate to this. AFTER you finish off your opponent, esp doing the AYUKEN or something similar. You immediately release the knob and do a 190 or 360 turn regardless of there is anyone around watching and be proud as hell! Also how can you forget slapping the knobs and keys as loud as you can!
Yeah! It's like a way to make sure people noticed lol. Most of the time it's done when people are around but even if no one is around. You still do the motion. It was a thing in the arcade or at least while I grew up in the late 80s to 90s. I see this trend from the US to China back then. We all did this. It's been decades ago so I don't think that motion exist now days.....
@@ArmyOfOne702 It's really cool to know that. It's funny to read these stories because there is a big difference in the places where this game was successful. It is important that we all enjoyed this beautiful game at the time. Good times.
The old games were masterpieces of art. They were made with enthusiasm and were more fantastic. Just like old Hollywood movies. As technology increased, mechanicalness increased, spirit and art disappeared.
now that i see the video, i see myself back on vacation in italy where the arcade was right across from our resort and i played this game in the 90s, thanks for the memories :-)

Ken Masters Height: 5 ft 9 ((175 cm)) Weight: 169 lbs ((77 kg)) Country: 🇺🇲 Background When Ken was about 12 years old, his father, a rich hotel tycoon owner, thought that his son needed to learn about discipline, or his son would become a spoiled brat all of his life and try to leech onto the Masters' family fortune. In order to do so, the elder Masters sent Ken to Japan to train under his best friend, the mysterious karate master Gouken. At first, Ken was very hesitant to learn from Gouken, wanting to go back to the United States, but later began to respect his master. He even enjoyed the company of Gouken's adopted son Ryu, since he had a foil to finally pull pranks on, although this got Ken into a lot of trouble. Ryu and Ken would later become best friends and each other's principal rivals. Ken did not participate in the first World Warrior tournament; instead, he fought in (and won) the premiere U.S. Martial Arts tournament that had been previously won by Charlie Nash, as well as meeting a very attractive girl named Eliza, who became his girlfriend. After winning the U.S. martial arts tournament, Ken returned to his training ground to tell his master Gouken the good news. There, he witnessed his master's death at the hands of Akuma. Enraged and grief-stricken, he attacked Akuma, only to be knocked to the ground by a single blow. Ken began wandering the world in search of Akuma, and his friend and fellow student Ryu; he wanted to tell Ryu what happened to their master, and also hoped to win a match against him. He eventually finds Ryu in seclusion. Ryu is dejected upon seeing his long-time friend, but Ken makes him go try out a spar anyway. After winning, Ken realizes how stressed out his best friend is since his fight with Sagat. Ryu explains to Ken that deep within him there is a burning rage - a power trying to overcome him. Giving Ryu his red headband, Ken tells him to stay focused, which greatly cheers Ryu up. Ken returns home and, with Eliza's support, begins training harder, knowing even with his recent feelings, that Ryu is always stronger than he looks. Ken begins to wonder about his own life. Ryu seemed to be on the right track again, but what of him? Along the road to proving himself again, he encounters Karin, who tells him she has followed his career and is trying to best her rival Sakura to prove she is superior. Ken advises her it's good to have a rival, not for supremacy, but to keep on training harder and focusing. With this, Ken finds himself again and is focused once more. Going off to meet up with Sakura, they have a friendly match, and Ken finally realizes that Ryu has the right idea all along. Both he and Sakura begin to travel to find Ryu, but their path crosses with that of Shadaloo dictator M. Bison. Ken confronts him but is easily defeated and placed under Bison's hypnosis. Bison then uses brainwashed Ken to lure Ryu out of hiding. Once Ryu shows up, Bison makes Ken fight him. Ryu wins and manages to release Ken of Bison's mind control. Ryu then proceeds to fight Bison but loses and, just like Ken before him, is turned into a slave of Bison's Psycho Power. Sagat appears and, enraged by Bison's actions, engages Ryu in an attempt to break Bison's mental grip on him. Ken, now free and aided by Sakura, attacks Bison. This intervention, along with Sagat's presence, makes Ryu come to his senses. Recovered, Ryu takes on Bison once more. Bison senses Ryu's dark power (which Bison describes as "The ultimate form of Psycho Power") and attempts to manipulate Ryu's mind once again. At his friends urging, Ryu resists and defeats Bison with a powerful Hadoken. Ken is happy to see his old friend again. With a promise of a new duel, the two part their ways.

I’m a Japanese person who actually played Street Fighter II. When Ken gets thrown by M. Bison (known as Vega in Japan), the damage gauge drops too much. Watching this hard mode reminds me of how crucial it was to find openings against enemies, requiring precise control in just a split second.🤗
I imagine you have mastered this game completely. Here in Brazil, Japanese players are highly respected for their skills. I had the pleasure of being a good SF2 player back in the arcade days. But I'm happy to at least be able to finish the game today. Good times.

This version on the Genesis was the first street fighter game I ever played. I loved it, and I love playing the original arcade version from the anniversary collection to this day.
Kids have no clue what this game meant. They had quarter holders lining the screen at arcades and you had to keep track of your quarter and your place in line. So lucky to have grown up when I did. Competitive arcade fighters were so awesome. The only other game I experienced with the same level of obsession was MK3/MK3 ultimate. Great days that will never happen again.
Buenos tiempos.
I remember playing Champion Edition for the first time and seeing how ridiculously overpowered Ken's Dragon punch was. Pros would wipe the floor with me in seconds.
I used to work at Walmart which kind of gives away my age I was 19 when they put a street fighter console in there I never do good with the joysticks only with the control pads. And we would play it for at least half the night and still get all or cleaning done in the other half what fun we had. In an 8-hour shift we would spend 4 hours playing the game in 4 hours cleaning up and then they would give us an all the wax or two and we would get that done. That's how I became an expert all these for you trappers that throw fireballs into the dragon punch when you jump it there's a way around that and I've got perfect games against many of them trappers. When I quit Walmart and got a better-paying job the first thing I did when I got a paycheck was get a console with Street fighter with it. The only other game I like as much as Street fighter is mortal Kombat 2 and up. It used to be my life to try to throw Shang tsung in the few times I did you would think I won a gold medal. My wife cuz I got married at 18 thought I spent too much time on the console but I spent many hours a day with them and my two kids. Cuz I would throw Shang tsung maybe 10 times in 3 years and then I would start screaming and she'd run in there what's wrong and I said I just tossed his ass. He tossed me hundreds of times. But anyway I really love playing them are you trapperz because the computer is a sucker for that but I'm not a lot of times I can win a perfect game using guile or DJ.
You spent half your working time playing, so you must have completely mastered the game. Your story is really cool and you could record your games. It would be cool.
@Kabuki Khazana I don't feel old yet, but soon after 40 don't know how it will be, you will know that before me. Once we were young like the other lol.
It looks like where you grew up was the same as the place I used to go. On the corner you could already hear some machines. Good times. I confess that I also miss the 90s.
Finishing the hardest difficulty is not only the case, because Capcom liked to leave some special hidden rewards for special winning conditions. So there are two hidden challenges, like not waste any continue and other harder is not to lose any round. As a reward the player will see special credits. Trying to succeed these challenges was always very tough task, but eventually very satisfied. Glad to see that the author succeed these both :)

This was a great enjoy in my childhood.i preferred to play it than to attend school.
I don't think your parents liked that.
But they were good times.
I always enamored when the music of each place changed tune and sped up when the characters were in danger of defeat. Very climactic.
It's true. Even the atmosphere when I was in the arcade facing other players was tense.
The game is a very important part of my childhood and I am from Pakistan
It was important in my childhood too.

This was my era!! I used to miss school to play this in the local arcades 😂👌🏻💪
Man...I did the same thing too. Good times.
Was all this to impress? I don't remember these things happening when I played.
But even today there are beautiful games.
@@Jan61083 I disagree, just commercial commodity products that are similar and easy to use.
now that i see the video, i see myself back on vacation in italy where the arcade was right across from our resort and i played this game in the 90s, thanks for the memories :-)
Do you remember playing Street Fighter 2 on vacation in Italy? Simply spectacular!
@@Jan61083 Of course, because we've still been vacationing in the same place for 30 years, and the arcade was there until 10 years ago, you don't forget things like that :-) and in general there are still a few arcades there where I used to go and now my nieces and nephews go there.
@@chopper1860 Do you have Italian ancestry? Your experience with classic games is really different. It's really cool that there are still arcades there. Here in Brazil, there are still arcades in some shopping malls or places with retro or nostalgic themes.

Ken Masters
Height: 5 ft 9 ((175 cm))
Weight: 169 lbs ((77 kg))
Country: 🇺🇲
Background
When Ken was about 12 years old, his father, a rich hotel tycoon owner, thought that his son needed to learn about discipline, or his son would become a spoiled brat all of his life and try to leech onto the Masters' family fortune.

I remember playing Champion Edition for the first time and seeing how ridiculously overpowered Ken's Dragon punch was. Pros would wipe the floor with me in seconds.
He has this powerful move, but I don't think he's the best in the game.
