The creator/screenwriter for The Musters was a friend of ours and just passed this year. He even helped me with a producer for a show I was working on. I also met Vincent Price in the early 1970's so it was fun to see those figures.
My Mom grew up watching The Munsters and passed that love on to me, your friend must’ve been an extra special treasure! ….and naturally, I developed a taste for the macabre so I’m THRILLED you got to meet one of the Kings of Horror… I love Vincent. Thank you for sharing this with us 💙
My heart skipped a beat when you showed the Dark Shadows boxes. I remember watching those episodes on tv so many years ago. I had a St. Bernard named Barnabas Collins, and I named my daughter Angelique, after one of the characters in the show.
O.M.G!!I wish that I had the money to buy all this!🤔But then I also would need a bigger house or a castle to put all this amazing treasure on display!Just kidding…but really Alex,I love all this stuff! I wished you could keep it all in your store in a separate room, like a little museum!I am sure people would have loved it! But I understand you have to bring such a big amount to auction!I am 65 years young(😉🤪),I live in the Netherlands…just survived Corona (was 5 weeks in a coma and it was a miracle that I survived!Thank God!!I still needed to be here for my children and my grandchildren…and ofcourse for myself ánd your videos!!😂😘)and I wish I could come over to visit you and your family ánd ofcourse your shop!If I were alone,I would have loved to come and live in Canada!I had family there and visited your beautiful country and the kindhearted people, twice with my parents.I wish you and your beautiful family all the best and I’ll keep on enjoying your adventures!!Love Wilhelmina Basart.🙋🏻♀️

Oh my goodness! My little 80s/90s nerd heart is just amazed! Those diorama set ups are stunning! Such detail! Omg buffy! My fave! This may just be my 1st K auctions nerdorama
OMG!!! I'm nearly 70 and I would do back flips for a collection like that!!! I grew up on so many of those movies and I've loved horror movies (especially the old ones) ever since. Wow! I'd love to see that whole collection. Way, way cool!
@QuintonTarantino Incredible find! Alex, you surely stepped in it, again! Wonderful! You need to do a Halloween theme in the store. Ooh, the cafe can do different themes, too! I'm so excited for you, your family, friends, and community! Lucky Edmontonians! 😷💉👍🌻🌻
Wow! That stuff is SO COOL!!!!! Score!! If I were you, I'd be advertising the heck out of that auction on monster fan forums, or Facebook groups for those resin artists. SUPER COOL FIND!!
These are all gorgeous, you kept saying 'worth hundreds of dollars back in the day' their worth way more now, most of the boxed ones are no longer made and collectors would pay way more than that now, it's going to make me cry if they end up going for a few dollars on Kastner Auctions, these really need to go to a specialist auction
@@maryriha Yeah, that one sucked. I think at this point enough people are hearing the word about the Kastner auctions through Alex' social media so these will do just fine. I would bid on one or two myself but I already know I won't be able to afford them. lol
@@maryriha Yeah but they were mostly cowboy books, if they had been superhero books, it would have been a different story they would have flown off the shelves 'faster than a speeding bullet'. I seriously think this is one time , if not a speciality auction then put them on E-bay with a big reserve, I'd love to get some of them but i've got a $400 dollar Galactus figure I'm holding my cash for, and a set of Fantastic Four Figures that's going to set me back the same price
I just watched a little video about our Invisible man, Claude Rains. I love these dioramas, they put you right there in the scene.....Only you could find such a haul. Happy hunting.
The dioramas from the old monster movies were great, took me winging back to my preteens. Wish I had the money for the Munster figures, one of my favorite shows. Thanks for sharing!!
That Moleman Diorama would be priceless to a classic sci-fi collector. Marilyn was a great plot twist for that show, they considered her to be the ugly duckling of the family, but they loved her regardless. 😁
My daughter loves all that monster stuff. She especially loves Vincent Price, she has a tattoo of him and when people ask who it is she says it’s her Dad lol…. I’m definitely sharing this video with her…
Cool Dioramas! I made scale models for Amusement park rides, to scale. It was fun work. Alex, what a great buy! Cool beans!!! I think you cornered the market.
WOW someone has been very busy with the creation of such things. Reminds me of doing my dollhouses and creating the furniture from pictures I see. Such detail. You picked up a fun lot this time. You have a great day
‘Hello Kastner auctions? Alex here I’ve got a whole lot of monster figurines and some huge creepy dioramas to bring to auction’ Kastner Auctions: ‘Of course you have….’
Pro hint for anyone dealing with hard to remove stickers/Labels. Go to Walgreens and pick up some Ronco lighter fluid. Get some nitrile gloves and a plastic scrapper. Soak the label with a little bit of fluid, let sit about 10-seconds, take the scrapper and get it under a corner and gently wiggle sliding it under the label. Most of the time they'll come right off but repeat as needed. Do in a well ventilated area...
Those monster dioramas are so cool! Someone put a lot of effort into them! It's good you are putting those items on auction. Very cool stuff but very specific for a certain group of collectors.
Some people are going to be salivating at the thought of maybe getting their hands on these treasures . So many , so cool , such a huge job of sorting . Alex any money you make is definitely not money for jam .
I saw something in the auction that I would love to get! I won't name it because I'm hoping to be able to afford it, but hey! Looking forward to trying this time!
I wish I had enough $$/lived in Edmonton, I'd snatch up every Vincent Price figure and diorama! All these are so far up my alley. Going to have to send this out over all the social media when Kastner lists this auction, have a ton of friends that are into this as well. Hope this makes you a great profit, Alex.
Oh my goodness! These are amazing and so cool! I have a miniature doll house and a barn, so this stuff is wonderful. But I am not really into monsters, but that Gypsy wagon would e cool with my barn!!! Wow, amazing find!
What a fun collection! There were several I would love to get for my hubby, but I'm downsizing and getting rid of stuff. Thanks for showing us all of this.
That Frankenstein diorama is awesome!...reminds me when I first saw the Boris Karloff 1930s movie standing behind my father's chair when I was 4 or 5 yrs old...stay safe!
You really needed to have all of that stuff in-stock back when the pandemic started and everyone was pimping out their work-from-home offices decoration. Nerd-tastic!
Those are all so cool . Had no idea there were Twilight Zone collectables. Those dioramas are amazing . That would make an awesome museum of the creepy . New roadside attraction. Keep Safe ❤Keep Well ❤
I hope Kauctions has good photos and descriptions of all the XFiles stuff! I was so hoping you would keep those for your shop so I could as questions. Xfiles is my big weakness. 😍
This reminds me of my days in art school... When it came time to draw from the model, this one teacher would set it up like those monster dioramas, with classic horror themes. He would bring in these kind of figures for inspiration. This must have been his garage

Holy cow! Someone tweet this collection to Quentin Tarantino, he’s a huge movie poster collector. There has to be a niche market for this in L.A.

This is just the most amazing horror collection I have ever seen! I feel privileged just to see it.
ikr?!
What a wonderful collection. I am amazed at the dioramas.
Caught a glimpse of Hugh Jackman's Van Helsing character on the Auction shelves. Great campy movie.

What a great collection and some are so unique. I think they will be a very popular item at the auction. Thank you for sharing with us.
Those dioramas are amazing! I love looking at all of the details. Someone was quite talented, to say the least!
Who else has a job like yours? Beautiful stuff!

That diorama set-up at the start looks like a theatre promo piece for the 1956 movie The Mole People. I'd look further into that piece.
That was a weird movie. The mole people were not evil, they were the slaves of an evil underground empire from ancient Babylon.
wow Alex, this is a great collection. And impressing in terms of workmanship. Thanks for sharing.
Love it. More auction materials with stock for shop. You a wise man Alexander. Working smarter than harder....even though all you do us work hard
That Moleman Diorama would be priceless to a classic sci-fi collector.
Marilyn was a great plot twist for that show, they considered her to be the ugly duckling of the family, but they loved her regardless. 😁
It would have been hysterical if the Invisible Man was just an empty box.
Hahahhaaaa!
I heard someone bought a ghost off of eBay... obviously They received an empty box... true story 😁
Ha Ha good one
Good one.
That is some of the coolest stuff you have had. I would have to keep some of the great diaramas. Those are truly amazing.
