I saw that Barbie plane sitting there and waited in such anticipation for you to show us! Oh the memories it brought back for I had one and played with it for many hours back in the 70’s. Thanks for the flash back! 💖
This was so fun. I'm the middle child of 5. I was born in 1977. You showed so many things we had when I was growing up. LOL, I had forgotten about much of it!
I have what I call a phonographic memory, in that I can recall song lyrics for years after I hear them. There was an old Chiclets commercial where a lovely young teen (possibly Christopher Norris) sang ... In this land of flavor and fun, all the flowers are chewing gum. Just pick a bud and what do you get? Fruit flavored Chiclet!
I remember that Barbie airplane from the 70's! I love seeing all the old Fisher Price toys too. I still have many of my toys and am seriously considering selling them if my daughter doesn't want them.
My mom also sold Avon for many years. Her sales moved her into the President's Club and she won many prizes. Big items were a harvest gold kitchen stove and a magnavox stereo in a wood cabinet, various gemstone rings and pins with the Avon symbol included in the design. When she passed away, we divided up the jewelry, plates, bowls, silver pieces, etc she had amongst our selves. One of my niece's wanted the stereo for her home as well. My kids had some of those fisher price toys and I have kept them for the toy box i have for any littles that come to visit. Thanks for sharing...it brought back some good memories!
That got me laughing, too! Especially as the follow up to Batman telling Robin not to question it, just get in the car without his clothes and the aside of “Heh, THAT didn’t sound very good”
My kids all LOVED the Fisher price toys! My grand kids were even able to play with them. The favorites were the farm house and barn full of animals. One of my grandsons was so enamored with the barn set I found another one for him to take home with him. He carried that with him everywhere until he started school.
My grandkids love them too. I found a bunch a number of years ago at thrift stores before they were popular again. My sister had them. She is 10 years younger than me but I loved playing with hers.
The fusherpruce styff my suster & .i pksyed wuth in tge 70s was okayed with by my 3 children they are 25,28&30. We gad the farm & the school house. My suster has inly digs,so they dudnt get to pksybwith them,.
Alex, this was so fun to see. I loved all the Fisher Price toys.I bought a lot of those for my son. He was born in 1970. Neat era for cool toys. Thanks for sharing this find with us. Cheers
I always enjoy your mayhem and foolishness!!! By the way, LINDA OF IOWA was on a live chat for another channel I watch! We were all like, THE Linda of Iowa???🤣🤣
This was a fun haul! Had me smiling the whole time seeing all the old toys…I have some of the same ones and I’m slowly bringing them down from the attic for my 1.5yr old daughter, who enjoyed seeing the toys in this video. That Barbie airplane is so cool!!
Wow, amazing what you remember that you 'didn't know was still in your memories'. My little brothers had the Marx riding horse, the Rockem Socken Robots, and more. I am 63 and my brothers are 5 and 7 years younger. Forever in my mind, little brothers. These middle-aged wonderful men are right back to those little boys that I loved (and still do) so much! Wonderful memory lane for me. Thank you so much!
What a wonderful and smile inducing video! Brought back so many pleasant memories. The " Chiclet chew off " was great! Thanks for the pleasant diversion, Alexander!
As a little girl in the mid sixties I can remember my sister and I meeting our dad at the bus stop down the street when he got off work at 5pm. If the neighbor who worked with him was also on the bus we would all walk home together. There were about six houses before ours. The neighbor would often give us a Chiclet gum. Later we found out that he would give us a piece because we would never ask for one. We were polite good little girls. Chiclets also came in spearmint flavor. Great memories..great childhood
Granny Lory, but wasn't the Barbage wonderful? She had opera length gloves, cat eye sunglasses,a convertible, pearl earrings, choker, bracelet, brocade dresses with a matching coat, hat, and clutch. Her original clothes were to die for.
My great-grandma loved Barbies as much the same as I do....she made us Barbie hats, costumes (Bali hi, cowgirl, chinese....you name it, she could copy it into a Barbie outfit). I must have hundreds of pieces . Early 60s were a good time in my house. You'll never guess my daughter's name or the name of the person she married! Yes, her first name is indeed Barbara (named after my mom. Her husband is Ken!!!
Great trip down memory lane. I had many of those toys. My favorite were the tonka crane the record player and the little iron. I played with those for many hours. Thanks for the memories.
What a great vintage haul. I was always able to get 3 comics when we went on vacation in the 60's- 70's and always got Little Lulu. 2 Ernies!!! Bert's worst nightmare 😂🤣
I was chuckling when you mentioned the Mickey clock. "Where is it?". You moved the camera a bit and we saw it before you. I was saying out loud, "there it is, you'll find it in a second"
I love unboxing I miss seeing you unbox treasures! I especially love seeing Josh he is such a sweet guy he mentions you in everyone of his Vlogs I'm glad I met him on your channel!!
I saw the purple and thought of "Thrills"! The only Canadian gum to taste like soap! I loved it as a kid. Saw you had pink elephant popcorn in the shop too! Thanks, this old spud islander loves to reminisce. I lived in the Southshore of Montréal when CIL blew up and shattered windows in my town.
What a great pick. Enjoy looking at all the old toys. I still have a Tammy doll with the original case and clothes. There was a TV show from the fifties or sixties that was named Tammy. The Barbie plane was really nice. Great garage clean out. Thank you for sharing.
The wig is for the 1970’ish Francie doll on the right. I had that one. Had Twiggy eyes, long lashes and four different wigs/hair toppers! Oh the memories…. I still have her
Those comics took me back! It always seemed my brother's friend came over with his stack to trade on the night before I'd have a big test at school the next day, so, no studying got done.
The Barbie Friend Ship actually came with a suitcase, an apron for the flight attendant, a tray to go on the cart, glasses, plates, cups, and a jug. That was the one Barbie item that I had as a kid. I played the heck out of that thing.
@@girlscanbedrummers5449 Yes, I saw that. But just so Alex knows, it wasn't complete (although he said he thought it was). There were several other items that would have come with it.
I wanted that airplane in the worst way when I was young. I was 1 of 5 kids and it never happened ☹️. It’s so funny to see how cheesy it was. Great finds and I enjoyed this trip back in time. 😉
That palomino pony riding toy was from the early 1970s. We had one for my son when he was @ 2 & who is now 48. A lot of the toys bring back pleasant memories of when my son & daughter were little kids. They had so much fun & shared later with their younger cousins & friends after growing up.
Wow, that could very well have been our storage room where I keep the old toys from my kids. My M I L used to do garage sales and I had her first grandchild. She found all the Fisher price stuff you were going through, plus the school house. My grand daughters love them still. They have been kept in excellent condition. Didn't realize they were worth anything. As a child we had no money at all and one if the neighbors gave us an old Barbie with a double black case. That was the only barbie my sister and I ever had and I still have it. Must be somewhere in early sixties since it was given used and I most definitely remember playing with it in 1963-1964. Great fun thinking back on very happy times!!! Great finds.
OMG!!! THANK YOU so much for going through all these finds! I saw things I forgot I used to have. Made me tear up remembering how much I loved my childhood! I have 2 granddaughters and they still play with my Fisher price scool house and camper like you found. I hope you found the boat that goes on too. Thank you again for all the smiles 😄
Omg! I love all these toys! Probably because I had some of them as a kid! Like that Fisher Price record player! The bird pull toy that flaps it’s wings- I had that toy as a toddler and still have it to this day! Also, I laughed when I saw the box titled “Dan’s Atari games” as that is my brother’s name and he played Atari! Those Nightmare on Elm Street movies, scared the crap out of me as a teenager! Love the Mickey Clocks and that cute little metal doll carriage! I had some Richie Rich and Little Lulu comics as a kid. I also had a Barbie Yacht- never got the airplane! This makes me want to get my old box of toys out and go down memory lane! So many fun toys you got!
Alex, I have the exact same Gabby Goofy's pull along ducks that were in the first box @ 7:15. I got them as a gift from the Ruth Lions Christmas Fund in 1963. The Ruth Lyons Christmas Fund began in 1939 and still provides Cincinnati-area hospitalized children with toys, Christmas decorations and even needed hospital equipment. After a visit to the children's ward of a local hospital, Lyons realized the young patients had nothing to make their stay more pleasant. Mine are missing a couple of the little nose pieces after all these years, but I have cherished them. I received them when I had to be in the hospital to have my tonsils out at 3 years old. I remember the hospital had a big cabinet, full of toys! and I got to choose which one I wanted. It was magical and exciting.
I have some red suitcases that look just like those blue ones. For 45 year's I thought they were leather and the other day I got them out to see what is in them and they are cardboard lol. I'm sure from the 50's or earlier. They were my mom's and she's 94
@@SwirlingSoul Yeah, it's crazy! They've been kept in closets all this time with other keepsakes in them. I love them and thought I should have them on display but now that I know they are cardboard, I don't want to ruin them by having them sitting out. It's silly, I know.
I love seeing those old toys especially if they were well played with. Had my daughter in 1984. I was on a budget so scouring yard sales for good used toys and other useful home items was a weekend pass time. Now that I've been in Central America for almost 6yrs along w 2 trips to S America, I miss seeing and going to yard sales, they have 2nd hand clothes shops here, mostly clothes from N American charity shops but hardly any for other 2nd hand items as they are used and repurposed. Its such a contrast to our semi disposable lifestyle. The trade off is I have seen many ancient sites and been in amazing museums with antiquity much older than anything I'd find a yard sale lol. Except maybe one of Alexander's
Imagine being the grown children of the people who off-loaded those toys and not knowing their parents had done so. And then seeing it on Alex' channel. "Noooo, that's my Bat mobile!" 😅
I would like to see that. I also like to see there face when they could have made money. Some people would rather throw something out and have new . Not me.
Wow! Blast from the past! I was born in '62 and had that exact barbie carry case (not the airplane, the doll case), and that clock where you learned how to tell time. Many other items too - the pull toy phone, etc, etc, etc.
I remember playing with a few of those toys.I still have my FP record player with all the records. I would never of thought of you as a metal head and Iron Maiden fan Alexander. Johnny Depp was in the first Nightmare on Elm street movie. Great video ,Alexander!
That ride-on horse is a 1967 MARVEL THE MUSTANG Galloping horse by Marx! The originals were made of metal in England by MOBO in the 40s and were called Bronco.
I had one of those plastic horses when I was small. I could never get him to ride like I thought that he should though. You are supposed to push down and it is supposed to go forward with each down push and the spring back up again, but it didn't go forward very well. I still loved it though, because he was so cute.
Those chiclets might have been from the 90s... my grandparents used to bring them when they visited. My favourite gum and wish it was still around! Alex I think you should open a play space where people like me can come and relive my childhood with all those toys!!
@@CuriosityIncorporated I am pretty sure that by the nineties they had expiration dates on them and UPC codes. Those are from before that. Try fifty year old Chiclets!!! Or more. Could be as old as me and I just turned 68 a few days ago!!! In any event you should have had one "safety man" that did not partake so they could call for help if you all stroked out.
Grafmatic film back, should have film holders inside that you'd load the 4x5 sheet film into. I had 2 believe they held 6 sheets of film. Loaded onto the camera you'd pull the handle in/out to remove sheets of films in/out of the camera.
We always had a pack of Chiclets in the car The record player!! I remember that 😊 and the fisher price areoplane and the telephone 👍🤣🏴 and the clock and the Richie rich comics. Thanks for the happy memories ☺️
That Sandy the ride on horse brought me back to my early childhood..grandpa and grandma had one and an Inch worm we spent many hours riding up and down their block..💞
This is a really cool pick. I was born in the mid 60s. I am sorprised at all the toys my sisters, brothers had also. We had a wooden lion cage with wooden lid pull toy. Whrn we had kittens we would put them in there and pretend thry were lions and give them treats through the openings. My grandma woulf order peeps through the mail. The mailman would stop by our house and drop them off becauae they wete noisy, probably smelly. It certainly was a different world.
A relative of mine was an artist/designer for Fisher Price. Our son got great gifts from him and still has many of them stored away.
So cool!!!
I love their toys!
Great score Alex. The Chiclets gum was hilarious. Glad no one was sick.

That got me laughing, too! Especially as the follow up to Batman telling Robin not to question it, just get in the car without his clothes and the aside of “Heh, THAT didn’t sound very good”

You are supposed to push down and it is supposed to go forward with each down push and the spring back up again, but it didn't go forward very well. I still loved it though, because he was so cute.
Omg I was seriously cracking up at the Barbie dolls airplane playing and then the naked Robin doll. 🤣. I'm still snickering.
Those chiclets might have been from the 90s... my grandparents used to bring them when they visited. My favourite gum and wish it was still around!
Alex I think you should open a play space where people like me can come and relive my childhood with all those toys!!
I guessed about 30 years old that would be 1991 so about right
@@CuriosityIncorporated I am pretty sure that by the nineties they had expiration dates on them and UPC codes. Those are from before that. Try fifty year old Chiclets!!! Or more. Could be as old as me and I just turned 68 a few days ago!!! In any event you should have had one "safety man" that did not partake so they could call for help if you all stroked out.
@@CuriosityIncorporated The font used and graphics are from the 1980's. Seems like yesterday.
Grafmatic film back, should have film holders inside that you'd load the 4x5 sheet film into. I had 2 believe they held 6 sheets of film. Loaded onto the camera you'd pull the handle in/out to remove sheets of films in/out of the camera.
Enjoyed. Great memories with this lot!
We always had a pack of Chiclets in the car
The record player!! I remember that 😊 and the fisher price areoplane and the telephone 👍🤣🏴 and the clock and the Richie rich comics. Thanks for the happy memories ☺️
I used to love chiclets! I also had the Barbie Friend Ship Plane! I loved it & played with it for years!!!
Loved the 70s toys..childhood memories
That Sandy the ride on horse brought me back to my early childhood..grandpa and grandma had one and an Inch worm we spent many hours riding up and down their block..💞
loves these kinds of finds and it brings back good memories. thank you
Blessings too all. Amen 🙏🏻🖤🙏🏻
Hi from Wichita, KS
Those were my kind off comics!!! Baby Boomer, lol 😆!
Alex...you're hilarious with the toys lol !!!
Sugar is a preservative like salt is, hence the long shelf life. 😃
Yeah, high fructose corn syrup and beat sugar are not the same as the old pure cane sugar though.
Lots of treasures! Good score!
Fun old toys and many are worth some money!
As a Canadian child growing up in the 70's...There were a LOT of things I played with in your car. So...Much...Nostalgia...
Thanks, Alex! Lots of fun going through those boxes.
So interesting! Crazy about the Elm Street find...
You scored on the boxes of stuff you got. Brought back some memories. So far out, man !😎
Oh my, I had that Barbie airplane with I was a child in the 70s. I loved it. There should a dinner cart too. 1976ish?
